Building a custom home is not for everyone, but when it is something that you choose to do it is critical to work with the right builder. My wife and I were committed to making this experience pleasurable, fun, creative, exciting, and another deposit in the “great memory” bank. We did just that. When we decided to work with Vintage Building and Design we were sure that we made the right choice. Ken Weitz and Steve Romanowski commanded our build from design to completion. Ken is exceptional with his detail for design. Use him for this and then hire your architect. He was so helpful in this area. Steve was impressive with his attention to detail in the construction process. Their staff both in office and on site follow their lead by being responsive, available, creative, fair, respectful, patient and detailed oriented as well. Danielle, Tyler, Susan and Justin were always helpful, supportive and responsive. Scheduling, billing, delivery, installation and coordination of this entire orchestration was impressive. We had gutted and renovated a few older homes over the past 10 years. We learned a lot and knew that when we designed and built our new home from the dirt up that we would interview builders until we found the right fit. We wanted to find the right group of people that we could be happily “married” to for 9 to 12 months. We had design ideas, but no architectural plans. We had a concept, a vision and a dream. We met with all the “hot” and busy folks that were re storing and rebuilding our village by the sea. We went to open houses and spoke to new home owners about their building experiences. Most told us their war stories and nightmares in lengthy detail. We took time to do our due diligence and I’m glad we did. Talking to that “one more person” is what lead us to Vintage.
