“Keith Barke did a great job for us, converting a garage into a living room and a small bedroom into a study. The major job was the conversion and though we knew roughly what we wanted, Keith came up with excellent ideas on such things as the heating and lighting that really improved the final design and functionality of the room. He also liaised with the council on the required building regulations. The smaller room is an awkward shape but, again, Keith came up with a smart solution involving a bespoke desk that has made the best use of the space - it wasn't something we could have visualised without his expertise. Very friendly and attentive service - not just Keith but all of his team - and the whole job was completed on time and on budget. Suffice to say, we're very pleased, and we're just about to use the firm again on another room. Highly recommended.”

“We are writing this review to highly recommend Fenlake Construction as a General Contractor. We hired Fenlake Construction to build our single storey rear kitchen extension which was was built to an excellent standard and exactly how we wanted. The initial project only consisted of the construction of a kitchen extension but due to us being very happy with the work being delivered we then asked Fenlake Construction to carry out the kitchen fit-out as well. Rob and his team were punctual and attended Site everyday. Rob's team was very friendly and stuck to all their commitments. Rob, project managed the whole project from start to finish and managed to resolve all unforeseen problems throughout the whole process with minimal time and cost impact. All other trades such as plumbing, electrics and plastering etc. were manged effectively with minimal disruption to our day to day activities in the house. We were extremely happy with the attention to detail and quality Rob and his team put in to their work and appreciated all the advice regarding design and choice of materials that was given to us throughout the construction process. The site was kept tidy and the project was delivered on time and on budget. “DMDL carried out a total external and interior refurbishment and extension our property over a period of over12 months using in the main, directly employed labour directly supervised at all times by Derek Mason himself or one of his excellent site managers. The quality of work was outstanding and we are delighted with the results. Nothing was too much trouble and our frequent changes to the architect's original specification were accepted without question and with full co-operation. The scale of the refurbishment was extensive and we effectively started with a four walled shell and re-created the house from scratch. The work included the installation of underfloor heating, a complete electrical and plumbing refit, as well as new DG windows, roof and exterior cladding. On the few occasions we queried costs during the project, these were either fully explained and justified or adjusted immediately. The helpfulness and courtesy shown to us by DM and all of his team was outstanding and even though our project has been completed he remains in regular contact with us and has helped us with a number of minor 'snagging' issues that have inevitably arisen. These have been dealt with without hesitation. To summarise: DMDL is a totally reliable building contractor, managed with integrity by its directors, and which provides top quality work in accordance with pre-determined project timescales. We have no hesitation in recommending this company if you are considering major or minor building work.”

“Nick, Rebecca and their team at Bespoke Build & Restoration Ltd have now carried out 4 large home improvement projects for us. This speaks for itself, having first completed a stunning loft conversion we had absolutely no hesitation in using Bespoke to carry out three further projects. The second was to open up a very small hallway with a confusing amount of doors and small spaces into a fantastic open welcoming space that is now the centrepiece of the house. Nick then went on to convert one of our double garages into a photography studio where I run my business from and most recently, an incredible kitchen diner utilising the second double garage space. Nick only uses tradesman that he has worked with for many years and share his quality of workmanship and work ethic. Nicks vision and enthusiasm for ideas are superb, he is constantly thinking of ways to improve how a space can work and additions and adjustments that will improve the overall aesthetic of a space. Finding a reputable builder who can deliver a project on time and within budget is a minefield and often seems an impossibility.
