We chose to build up to a 4 bedroom 3 bath, and are ecstatic with the results. Although my wife's concern was having all the bedrooms on one floor, mine was that the remodel keep the same historic architectural detail that attracted me to East Sacramento to begin with. Cue in Mills Builders which is run like a finely tuned pitching machine. You have the starter, Jonathan Mills, who's work I had seen around the neighborhood back in the height of the construction boom, kept the right people even though he had to scale back in the current economy, and was able to bring our vision to fruition with the help of designer John Packowski. That, and he owned a home in East Sac and only moved to Clarksburg because of his growing family sold us on the deal. After the initial stages, the middle reliever is Danny DePiazza, who is the project manager. He was always timely to our requests and kept a firm deadline. Finally, the closer comes in. Seth was able to handle all of our punch-list needs. I figure if you are going to spend 5-6 months day-in, day-out making decisions that you are going to have to live with for the rest of your life, there are few people who can say such positive things about such a big project. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't change a thing. Go with Mills Builders; you'll be happy you did.”

“We remodeled 3 baths and a fireplace, along with a number of miscellaneous repair jobs in other areas. We took out a bathtub, and enlarged the shower in MB. We also took out a pocket door and opened up the wall in another bath. Brand new cabinets were installed in all baths. We replaced carpeted areas in the baths with tile. All lighting, fixtures, walls and floors were of entirely new materials. Kent is the best contractor we have ever worked with. He listens, and he stands behind his client and his work. Though he personally does not do the work, but he was often was on site to check up on the progress. His men always informed him of what was happening. Kent is a very good communicator in person, phone or by email. He is very particular about choosing his subcontractors. His subcontractors are wonderful to work with and quite meticulous in their work. They, the vendors and even county inspectors voiced high regard for the quality of his work and his ethics. He also runs a very tight schedule with very little change. He is an excellent project manager and has many good ideas regarding design and practical matters. Kent would be the very first contractor we would call on for another remodel job in the future. We would highly recommend him to anyone who is willing and wanting work to be done perfectly.”

“I am near the end of my second remodel with the Sedillo Company. One remodel involved a second floor roofing and deck project, stucco work, exterior paint, and garage door. This project ran on time and within budget. The second project is remodeling of the kitchen and entire first floor. This is also running on time and within budget. They provide comprehensive detailed estimates, strict rules about daily clean-up and care for your property, and do absolutely beautiful work. They are a small company that relies on positive outcomes for future jobs. They fuss over the details to make things beautiful (perfectionists). They provide design, engineering, and finish work. They had to make all sorts of subtle modifications to fit my older house's slightly curved walls and uneven floors and you cannot even tell these modifications were made. It all comes together cleanly. Their design and decorating helper was Diana Mahoney who was (and is) so helpful in making decisions about what will function well and look great. “This contractor is a customer's dream. He not only isn't fearful of a project but loves a challenge. My challenge was to repair or redo a leaky roof of my Conservatory. I had tried to find a contractor for over 8 months and no one would accept the challenge. Not only did he accept the challenge, he was on time, very careful of your property, and very nice. His workers were also very capable and nice. I can't say enough praise for this contractor. I was coming out of a friends lane and had to stop for this truck and it was David Lanni's truck. I immediately took down his phone number and called him. Needless, to say, it was, what I would call a "God Wink" from the title of a book.
