“We hired MAK Design + Build to remodel our house and we can't speak highly enough of them. They are a small company, so they are very hands-on and accessible. They are thoughtful, creative, intelligent, perceptive and extremely hard-working. The design they developed was perfectly suited to our taste and our needs and the guys who did the construction were outstanding craftsman. The same guys worked at our house every day so we became very comfortable with them. For other crafts like tile, stone and paint, they use the same subcontractors for many jobs so they have good relationships with them and a lot of confidence in their skills. The project management was also great; consistent, attentive and accessible. The office staff was friendly, professional, helpful and available whenever we needed anything. The project ended two years ago, so we have had two years to review MAK's work. We literally don't have a single complaint about the process or the product. If there were 10 stars, that would be our rating.”

“My husband's grandfather is going to come live with us so we can give him more care as he ages. We hired Stephen to design a master bed/bath addition that has ADA-accessibility for Grandpa, as well as a kitchen & dining remodel on our small, ~925 sq ft, 2 bed, 1 bath 1935 cottage. We are still in the process of finalizing the design and are getting ready to hire a contractor for the project. Stephen has been great to work with so far. He is friendly, thorough, thoughtful and very creative. Throughout this long process of narrowing down what we want our house to be he has patiently and carefully listened to all our ideas, concerns and needs, given us great ideas of his own, answered all of our questions, and has incorporated everything we want into a ~1420 sq ft, 3 bed, 2.5 bath floor plan.
