About Us

Unlike most other businesses, the story of Flow-Right Construction is not particularly exciting or inspiring. Pain and frustration is as good a reason as any to start a business and that is pretty much how it began. Having 15 years experience running a successful business in commercial construction, I persuaded myself that renovating my home in Walthamstow would be easy. In short, I was wrong. Transitioning from working with hotels and restaurants to residential property highlighted a stark difference in the standards and levels of service that was expected. When making such a large investment into my home, there were certain assurances I wanted from a Builder. Despite my best efforts, it was harder than expected to get the answers I felt were necessary. I felt the entire process could be done better, so that is what we decided to do. In simple terms, Flow-Right Construction delivers commercial service and standards to the domestic market. Ultimately we will endeavour to meet the same standards in your home as I sought to achieve in my own.

Similar to the other experiences below flowright left us with a half completed project with many defects that cost us thousands to rectify. The workmanship was sub par and feel that the fraudulent reviews that were left by company employees duped us into choosing them as a contractor. Stay away from them and the directors as I'm sure they will show up.in some capacity somewhere else.

Similar experience to Raquel below, and we know of others customers who have exactly the same story. Under-priced job, badly managed, cutting-corners and no attention to detail. After abandoning us mid-build (they were already several months behind schedule) they tried to blame us for their own poor management, levelled unfounded accusations at our architects, left us with numerous problems to fix, sub-contractors to pay because they hadn't paid them from the money we'd paid, upset neighbours because of a complete lack of care. At least two of the positive reviews below are from Flowright employees (not difficult to uncover a bit of googling), extremely dishonest and although I don't think they set out to let people down, Flowright had an appalling culture which ran from top to bottom and employed people who were incompetent. If they're still floating around looking for business like a turd that won't flush, avoid them at all costs.

Stay away from this company. I wish I had never found the previous reviews as are extremely far away from our experience. We were left with a half done job, really bad quality, moths of delays and lot of money lost from our side. Terrible!

We were thrilled with the project Flow-Right Construction company completed at our home. We wanted to update our kitchen and dining area to modernise our Edwardian property whilst keeping the original features. They were patient with our changing ideas and always gave expert opinions and recommendations on the design and plans. We are so happy with the outcome of the project and can't thank Chris and the team at Flow-Right Construction for the excellent work. It was a pleasure to work with Flow-Right Construction when we needed our small bathroom tiled and redone. The team were brilliant from start to finish. Their project management skills are second to none, we had very insightful initial chats where we were able to describe exactly what we wanted. They were very patient with us and helped us along the way with fantastic space-saving design ideas, perfect for a tight space. The builders did a fantastic job and took great care even in the finer details. When the paint colour wasn’t right, the design team were more than happy to suggest other options to help us make the right decision for the space. We couldn’t be happier with the result, it’s a great functional space that we love!

After moving house mid pandemic we wanted to turn our rather dilapidated garage into a home office. Flowright worked with us on various options and designs, e flexible on budget. The builders on site were really hardworking and always polite and helpful. They even did a few extras for us like installing shelves and building a bespoke desk. One key thing with building works is communication, and the guys at Flowright were always contactable and willing to discuss concerns or explain something in terms we could understand. The final product (a full garage renovation, new roof, fences and decking) is top quality and has completely transformed how we work and spend time in the garden.

Flow-Right Construction completed the “self renovation” my boyfriend and I attempted on our period apartment in Hertfordshire. After spending a year procrastinating, making error after error and spending a ton of money we began to become extremely time poor as we returned to work. By this point the project was becoming more of a burden than anything else and I must admit my nerves were frayed from the stress of it. We had lots of quotes to finish the build but instantly took a liking to these guys, they were able to relate to our feelings, they were respectful about the work we had completed ourselves and they were extremely communicative to ensure they stayed exactly on our brief. All this gave us the reassurance that they would provide the care and level of detail we wanted. I’m so glad we chose them!

Wild Card Brewery

We couldn't be happier with the work Flow-Right have done for us. They completely regenerated the space, and put in beautiful bathrooms for us. It was really important to us that they made the space accessible, and so they made a disabled ramp and expansive toilet for us. They were super professional and easy to work with, they did an incredible job on both the construction and design aspects. Full marks!!
