Gustav, Kris and the team built our two bedroom loft conversion and ensuite, and moved and fitted our master bathroom across 3 months from Nov '22 - Feb '23. They patiently helped us value engineer the project and once on site the build ran like clockwork and finished on time. For the first two weeks we were living in the house and the team were so respectful and nice, even though we were definitely in the way. Gustav has a keen eye for design and detail. He suggested a stair reconfiguration that increased circulation space and he managed to maximise ceiling heights we didn't know we had. We specified some tricky finishes including reclaimed and uneven tiles. Gustav tackled them with a smile and the final finish is expertly installed. The whole team were a pleasure to work with. We've recommended them to friends and neighbours ever since completion.

We engaged Gustav and his team to work on a loft conversion in Autumn 2020. The job took approximately 3 months. The job was done to an exceptional standard, on time and on budget - you cannot ask for more from a building company! The team were a pleasure to have around and kept the site clean and tidy. They were respectful of neighbours, stuck to proper working times and did more than was asked on several occasions. The job itself, adding a dormer on to the second floor of a Victorian townhouse and creating a new bedroom and bathroom, was done perfectly. Some problems were encountered which resulted in changes to the original drawings but Gustav and his team worked around these without the need for new drawings. The resulting room is amazing - we are extremely happy. I highly recommend Gustav, Kris and the whole team.

Gustav and his team did an outstanding job on our bathroom fit out and home refurbishments. The works were carried out on time and on budget to a fantastic standard. Compared to other building professionals I would say that Gustav's communication skills are outstanding, he is always available to speak and has tons of problem solving and brilliant ideas. He and his team are also really lovely guys to have around! Will 100% use Gustav Building services on projects in the future.

I hired Gustav on two projects: firstly to replace the roof on the main house and also on a back garden extension building and secondly to replace the front and back patios. On both occasions the work was completed to a very high standard. Gustav's team were always very considerate and tidy. What impressed me most however was that Gustav was not just satisfied with carrying out instructions but would anticipate problems that could arise and offer suggestions on how to make things work better. He gives equal importance to the aesthetic and the practical aspects of the project.

I have carried out building projects using gustav from building services for many years. Gustav is always very positive. He cares about his work a lot which can be rare in the construction industry. Hopefully another 10 years of work together going forward!

Gustav and Kris are amazing. They are a very professional team that is extremely capable. They were respectful of what I wanted from the project but also offered invaluable advice when they saw something that didn’t look right (or might look better!). Gustav and his team have built a kitchen extension, rebuilt a bathroom and refurbished a downstairs cloakroom. Their work is of a high standard; they were very tidy, and very keen to solve problems to our satisfaction. Working on a Victorian house is never staraightforward and we had our fair share of problems and delays, but Gustav was always on hand to try to find ways through. Over the last 25 years we have employed many builders but Gustav is the first one I am happy to recommend.

Gustav Building Services did an excellent job on our recently completed side and rear extension building work, including new bathrooms, roof lights, plumbing and electrics. He and his team were courteous, helpful and very professional in their approach. Our project was long and complicated by various external factors, however, his team remained patient and willing to be flexible. Gustav has great attention to detail and a keen eye for design, ensuring that the smallest details are given due consideration . His workmanship was high quality and we are very pleased with the results. We would strongly recommend him.

Kris, Gustav and their team have been absolutely amazing, cannot praise them enough. First of all - the job ended up being a lot larger than initially thought- as decided to replace old ceilings and flooring, walls -everything was uneven to start with. So took everything back to 'bare bones' and pretty much built it up again as a new house. New electrics, water pipes, completely new kitchen and bathroom. I really appreciate they were very straightforward with the estimated costs from the beginning - it did run slightly over budget but nothing too bad as had some contingency funds prepared. I would have hated to be quoted one price then half way through the project to discover it escalates out of control. Thankfully they are really honest and reliable. They were always easy to reach and replied any question I might have had in a timely manner. This was particularly important to me as I was between uk and us at the time so couldn't be 'looking over their shoulder' so to speak. Last but not least the finish and quality of works is absolutely amazing! They couldn't have paid more attention to every little detail if it was their own home. For instance I remember last day of work when they were tidying up Gustav came back to put up door stoppers for me, completely on his own initiative. It's just a little touch but goes to show the dedication they've put into the project and care about the finished product.

Gustav who runs this building company did a great job for me. He gutted an old tired bathroom and turned it into a beautiful contemporary shower room. A while later after severe flooding in my place he returned to take up all the floorboards and kitchen units and redid the flooring throughout the flat, put in new kitchen units, repainted and made all good again. Quick, polite, always responsive to calls and emails. This was all so appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
