Inspired by his Fathers love of wood and equipped with the knowledge he imparts, Phillip Hazell’s passion is for creating bespoke wooden products. Phillips bold designs work in harmony with the natural qualities of the timber and he enhances the grain and texture resulting in a celebration of the warmth and character of wood. ‘Hazellwood’ has grown from this and is a small family run business that prides itself on original bespoke wooden creations made by hand from reclaimed, recycled and sustainable timber sources. All of Hazellwood’s projects are based on the client’s needs and wants, making all of their pieces unique. Some are commissioned to be practical whereas others are purely to be aesthetically pleasing. Hazellwood’s work is commissioned all over the country from individual homes to top London Hotels/Restaurants. The preferred medium is Cornish Oak or Recycled Railway Sleepers as they tend to have real character and depth of colour.
