Andrew Parkhill and his team (now New English Living) completely transformed our garden. We now have an amazing outlook of a beautiful pond with ornamental fountains a pergola walkway with assorted clematis, a formal boxwood garden area, trees, shrubs and pathways and of course a beautiful lawn. From initial meeting to completion there was always great communication. We discussed everything in detail before and during project. I still send Andrew photos on a regular basis during the different seasons showing him his wonderful creation. Andrew is very passionate about all his projects whatever the size.

We were recommended to NEL by an old friend and after a number of months of discussion and planning we started the 3/4 month process around June 2014 to transform our traditional quarter acre garden at the rear of the house. NEL came up with the overall plan and completion was in line with the estimate even though we made a few adjustments to the original plans as the project progressed. We have ended up with what we wanted and couldn't be more delighted. Our garden is on the NEL website and you will see the contemporary X Factor design which is what we were after. The NEL team coordinated well and were all enthusiastic about the project. The garden has matured really well over the past couple of years and we have had additional work carried out by NEL since.

We embarked on a home and landscaping project on a difficult site that involved a lot of soil removal. We choose New English Living as they had both building but more importantly to me landscaping/garden design experience. We discussed plans and adapted them to meet our budget. They then seamlessly combined the extension and landscaping offering advice along the way. During the nine month project there was someone on site everyday and also someone available in the office to help with any queries. Communication and the quality of all the work was excellent. Everyone that we dealt with that worked for New English Living was polite and they were all just really nice people to spend nine months working with. We now have a beautiful house with a landscaped garden to enjoy.

How did a narrow terraced garden in central Worcester turn into a leafy playground for adults and tiddlers alike? When New English Living had finished, our garden felt huge. Where there had been a shed, and some flagstones, we had space for the children - trampoline, built in slide over the log store, full size swing and a gorgeous rainbow sandpit. But then, hidden behind a screen of tall grasses and a graceful Magnolia Grandiflora (plus our new herb garden), was our adult zone. With geometric York Stone paving and a cloud making magical waterfeature (that glows in the evening light), we had room enough for an extending table with eight chairs. We have enjoyed glorious summer days, and nights, using every corner of our garden. The experience is different every year as it matures - the gentle rustling of the leaves and grasses at dusk is louder now the trees are bigger. We can pick plums beside the swing, grapes from around the trampoline and the water feature is always a delight for infant splashing. The feature I love best is the stunning colour gradations - our fence panels are sunny-day blue around the kids' zone, and midnight blue around the adults. As the light fades, our fence glows with shades of blue as the sky changes - we eat outside most nights in summer just to enjoy the sights and sounds of our own oasis right in the middle of the city. New English Living really listened to what we needed, and gave us what we wanted. A pleasure to work with.

New English Living delivered a major garden project for us. Andrew, Mara and the team were great to deal with. They welcomed and encouraged our input at all stages of the project, and took genuine pride in making sure everything is as per the design brief.
