Whilst We would usually avoid discussing such matters in public, your insistence on damaging our reputation must be robustly defended by the facts especially considering the damaging effects this review has on not only the company but the hard working staff members that work here. The affects that reviews like this has on a business are unfair and therefore we are forced to reply to you on a public stage.
Here are the facts of the matter in this case.
Upon thorough investigation of your case, we've found discrepancies between your review and our records. Our team dedicated extensive hours to fulfill the agreed-upon work, striving to meet your expectations to the best of our abilities.
The brief provided by you was with the understanding that we would receive all necessary information, important dwgs were left out and took our team extensive hours to produce plans that were not part of the scope. You then demanded an unrealistic time scale to complete these or a refund. We where happy to continue the work and working with your planning consultant, not once was the work disputed as stated in emails to yourself Thus, it's crucial to clarify that we remained committed to completing the brief as outlined in our agreements even with the additional workload not agreed in the scope of works. Any suggestion of refusal to fulfill our obligations is unfounded and does not align with our values as a company. You then proceeded to throw around false and damaging accusations and with this we as a company made a decision to terminate our contract with the small deposit covering the time and hard work of our staff producing work for your scheme.

We engaged Black Brick Studio for the dormer conversion, rear extension and overall refurbishment of our house. Throughout the process, they were relentlessly enthusiastic, highly diligent and their vision for the project blew us away. Every stage was made very clear to us and we were able to feel very relaxed throughout and the project. It was completed on time and without complication. The talent of the team was reflected in the outstanding design and the creation of space. The character of the house was well preserved, without comprising the modern elements of the project, that improved both functionality and the aesthetic of the house.

I cannot recommend Richard and his team enough. They helped us design a two story extension on the side of our house that has now made it our forever home. We had an idea of what we wanted to do, but Richard came up with an idea much better than what we had thought of that freed the space up even better. He also put us on to our builders who have also been outstanding from start to finish.

From start to finish, the team at this studio was a pleasure to work with. The design Adam came up with for my extension was truly stunning. It seamlessly blended with the existing architecture of my home while also adding a modern touch. The attention to detail and consideration for my needs and preferences was evident throughout the entire design process. Not only was the design impressive, but the The communication throughout was excellent, and any questions or concerns I had were addressed promptly. This company advised me a few years ago when I was struggling with my ground floor extension. I need to admit, that from the very begining I was not quite happy when I saw the project - I excpeted something different. But at the end of the day I am more than happy that they persuaded me to follow their idea! Extension is beautiful and functional and that were my priorities.

From the very first consultation with Meja to the final touches, the team were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to ensuring that my vision for the project was brought to life. The design they created was not only stunning but also highly functional and practical, making the most of the available space. The attention to detail was exceptional, and I was kept informed throughout the entire planning process, which made me feel completely at ease as we were based in a conservative area. They were always available to answer any questions I had and offered valuable advice and insights that helped us make decisions about the space. Overall, I cannot recommend Ryan and Adam highly enough. Their professionalism, expertise, and dedication are second to none, and I would not hesitate to use them again for any future projects.

R Hughes designed me an extension, which although looked very nice, unfortunately was too large and extended into next doors garden. This was only picked up by the contracted builder (one I hired despite paying R Hughes to find one... to no avail) when they were about to dig the footings. Called and emailed R Highes on the day, they took numerous days to consider this a matter of importance. Although R Hughes admitted they had not measured the land before designing the extension, they have since decided to ignore me. As they don't refer to themselves as 'Architects' they are not bound by RIBA Institute for Architects. Disappointing and not not the first time they have got measurents wrong. As this was prior to Christmas, hopefully Santa has purchased them a measuring tape!

We have had a fantastic experience from the start with R. Hughes design. We had met with two other architect prior to going with R Hughes design and the others we met with made us feel uncomfortable and seemed disinterested. When we met with Meja who came out to meet us for our initial appointment she was fantastic, very friendly and she was so enthusiastic. She really listened to what we wanted and gave us ideas on how it could work. We had our quote following this which we were very happy with and proceeded. When we had our appointment to see our initial design with Bethan we were blown away by how much effort and consideration had been put into the design. Also it was clear they had really listened to us and what we wanted. The VR headset really helped with the process and visualising the size and feel of a room. Nothing was too much trouble and they were happy to make changes. The process of going to planning has also been smooth and when we have had questions they have always been answered and again nothing has been too much trouble. Communication throughout has been good. We have not had to chase anything. We are hopefully going to start our build soon. We would highly recommend these architects and would definitely use them again in future.

I commissioned Richard to undertake the design and Plans for my proposed single storey open plan Extention with Vaulted ceiling to include a new Utility Room at rear of my property. From the initial consultation, site meetings and through the Planning process I was both delighted and re-assured by Richard, s attention and commitment to delivering exactly what I needed and required, ultimately delivered in the fabulous drawings and plans he produced. These were pleasingly passed with Planning permission to proceed and which process was also expertly undertaken by Richard with comforting updates throughout matters. Richard is very personable and likeable and most certainly a great communicator on all aspects of the projects undertaken and whom, without hesitation I would recommend. We contacted R.Hughes Designs after a previous local architect asigned, failed to give us what we really wanted. Richards friendly approach and fabulous ideas really helped us and our requirements were listened to and fulfilled. The first drawings provided to us were perfect. The Planning application was submitted by R.Hughes Designs and was passed on the first attempt. One year on we are still working with Richard as the building process begins. For modern/contemporary design R.Hughes Designs receives our highest recommendation.

I hired R.Hughes Designs to plan a loft conversion because we were running out of space and the cost of moving wasn’t realistic. R .Hughes designs were so quick at coming out for the first initial visit where we discussed our plans and I was immediately impressed by their professionalism and knowledge as we talked through our ideas. The next phase was to measure up our house and again they arrived on time and completed with no fuss. The best bit though were the drawings and plans, we were blown away as to what had been planned for us! There was even a 3D model of our house which was shown on an iPad, from this we could see exactly how the conversion would look. The drawings and plans were so clear they made it really easy to gather prices from builders. I would highly recommend R.Hughes Designs to anyone they are fantastic!

I decided to contact Richard based on top ranking of his service. I made a correct decision and in hindsight it is so important to identify your own Architect like him. Richard offers the most professional and comprehensive services based on his capacity as an Architect, Designer, and Experienced Consultant and Adviser. He provides professional drawings efficiently. He also successfully represented me to obtain an approval from the Building Control. At that time, other Architects were not sure about my case. My project has gone through very stressful period with the Builder who could not meet the deadline. Richard has been always there to support me including moderating a discussion between I and the Builder. With Richard’s support, you don’t just have an Architect but an expert and a great friend who really cares about your project. When he said he will be with you through your project, he really means it. He is always approachable whenever support or advice is needed. I have no hesitation to recommend Richard. You are hundred per cent guaranteed by my experience that he is the right Architect you look for.

i was over the moon with the service, attitude and design vision of Richard ... We had a complicated project which needed careful thought and out of box design as my elderly parents needed to live with myself and my husband and our teenage twins, with a small 2 bedroom 1960's dorma-bungalow and a small budget of £50,000, Richard has managed to exceed our expectations and more, designing a beautiful 4 bedroom home with open plan living spaces. There has been no stress with planning permission as all of this is taken care of and the 3D visual design tools used helped us visualise exactly the beautiful space we could build. Richard is trustworthy and punctual, communication is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Our double story extension was designed by the team at R Hughes Designs, they did a full survey of the house then drew up the plans. They then included us in the design stage and we had the chance to sit down and design exactly what we wanted and be able to use all of the space so it was functional.
