Can’t recommend Ridgeback highly enough. Having been burned by a poor firm in the past, we were a bit cautious about who we worked with on our next project. But it was clear from our first conversation, that Oli and the team had a different approach. They really took the time to understand the space we were trying to create. They appreciated the commitment we were making as a young family. And they helped guide us through things at every point along the way. From the initial drawings and planning process to the build phase and finishing – working with them has been a really enjoyable experience. We were super impressed on the project management side of things and always knew what was going to happen when. And we’re equally impressed by the quality of the craftsmanship and pride the team took in their work. We were also living at the property while the work happened and they were hugely respectful of that. Every one of their team we’re brilliant with our two young children too – who still ask ‘when are they’re coming back?’ Until the next project, a massive thank you. You’ve given us a home to be proud of.

We'd seen Ridgeback's work around the village and we were impressed with feedback from other customers, so we used them for the design and build. We were planning a large rennovation to remodel the whole house, so with 3 teenagers and a dog, our priority was to make the experience as stressfree as possible. We did move out, which meant they could crack on. From the start we were impressed with the attention to detail and transparency of what to expect, including price. The design by Helen (byHelen Design) was key, and really helped us visualise what we could achieve and ultimately has improved how we use the house. It's given us lots of extra space, that flows for us as a family. The Builders were ace. Incredibly professional, polite and knowledgeable, always making time for us and no question of them never turning up - even in the snow and with all challenges the pandemic brought too. They work very well together as a team and the atmosphere on site was always good and well organised. We took, pretty much, all of Ridgeback's recommendations of suppliers including kitchen design - which meant everything worked like clockwork. We are thrilled with the finish and the peace of mind we have, knowing that everything has been done right and to a high quality.

We can’t recommend Ridgeback highly enough! We have had a large kitchen extension, bathroom, internal remodelling and a large garden office designed and built by the Ridgeback team and we are so happy with the result. Olí and Helen were supportive and patient through the design process, really understanding what we wanted, but also helping us to see what we needed! They helped us budget and decide where to spend our money and guided us through the design process. The build was so exciting! We had a team of between 3 and 7 people working on our small project every day, they were always on time and worked really hard. Channels of communication were kept open throughout the build and we managed to resolve any snagging problems quickly together. We were building through the pandemic and several lockdowns, and even with these conditions the build came in pretty much on time. Of course we went over our budget - but doesn’t everyone ??!! (We opted for under floor heating - which we are so pleased with!) Ridgeback were the dream builders, they were efficient, supportive, conscientious and all in all a lovely team.

Ridgeback were not recommended to me, but I was impressed by the work they had done in the local area, so gave them a call. We wanted someone who could look after both the design and build aspects of our house extension, and Ridgeback have been great at both. They made the planning application process very easy, and helped talk through all the hurdles and stages. I have been impressed with their professional approach and how they work on site...keeping things very tidy, with lots of updates and pictures of progress. You have to put a lot of trust into a builder, and I would recommend giving Ridgeback a call if you are thinking of doing any work.

We have used the end to end Ridgeback services, from planning support, design through to build. Our first meeting was 6 years ago and are still bombarding them with new projects even as we speak they are finalizing a garden room and day bed area for the garden! They are reliable, trust worthy and their design department has been a real source of unique ideas and solutions. The site team are tidy, take pride in their work and are generally good to have on site. Overall their unique ability to take a client brief and translate that into practical solutions is what makes them unique. They build for each client as individuals.
