Maxwells came highly recommended to us by a colleague. They fully redesigned and renovated our 4 bedroom flat in Pollockshields. They handmade the kitchen, wardrobes and some bespoke storage in the hallway and living areas. They also helped us with soft furnishings, lighting and other furniture pieces. Everyone that walks through the door are very pleased with the end result and needless to say we have recommended you to all.

I love working with Maxwells on custom made joinery work on projects. Really good quality, lovely team and they have great ideas on how best to make an item. They let me choose woods, advise on materials and custom make colours for any painted joinery. They have made me so many beautiful items for clients including fitted wardrobes, various styles of hallway bench seating, office cupboards, shelving, pantry shelving, movable draw units and hallway cupboards.

Nehal created digital renders and provided very detailed plans for several rooms in our house including transforming a dining room into a kitchen and adding a utility room and downstairs wc. Nehal takes a lot of care and thought with her designs and ensures that you will get the best use out of the space. This has allowed us to achieve a beautiful result we are very happy with.

After a thorough research of bespoke cabinetry and interior designers, we commissioned Maxwells to renovate our period property in Bothwell. We are ecstatic with the level of detail, finish, design, thought and care that has gone into every minute detail of every space in our house. From start to finish, the entire team have been absolutely brilliant! They digitally rendered every space for us with different layouts and materials which gave us the confidence to chose and approve rooms a lot quicker than just having to guess and hope for the best. They even went into great technical detail about lighting design, which was a surprise to us as none of our friends have had that experience before with other designers. We also liked the fact that we could just pop into their office in Govan and look at our bespoke kitchen, wardrobes and shelving getting made. Such a rare treat these days! This company has a lot going fot it. To imagine they churned this out from a tiny office and workshop not very far from us makes it a very special experience for both of us.

This was a project to fit out a kitchen/diner created from a traditional dining room and separate back kitchen in a small early 20C terraced house, so space was at a premium. Maxwell’s design and craftsmanship were truly excellent and they were a pleasure to work with, especially Nehal who spent hours with me working through every smallest detail of the design including a really original and innovative storage solution. The project did have some delays involving procurement and third parties but the finished product is everything I hoped for in terms of looks and functionality.

Very high quality designer bespoke kitchens & carpentery combined with all general building services (from sister company Staveley) make Maxwells a pleasure to deal with. The jewel in the crown is their designer who ensures you have all the up to date options at your finger tips taking a huge amount of pressure off the design process. In our case a new kitchen and dining area and before that a sun room revamp were both challenging structurally. However any and all issues were handled calmly and successfully by MD Stephen, once an experienced carpenter himself. I highly reccomend this family run company to anyone looking for that extra level of quality & bespoke workmanship combined with designer flair & vision, knowledge and an all trades approach. The quality finish & stunning results speak for themselves.

Stephen and his team were instrumental in the transformation of our house from a tired period property to a home much more suited to modern living, without losing its charm. They built our kitchen and utility room units bespoke and from scratch, and assisted in the design process. The result is a beautiful living space which also happens to be a kitchen-diner. In addition, they; installed a dormer window, fitted out a shower-room, en-suite and bathroom and a built a raised patio area to tie the kitchen to the garden beyond. Stephen has excellent knowledge and design ideas which really made a difference to the quality of the finished project.

Staveley came to us on a recommendation from a friend. Stephen spent lots of time with us at the outset listening to our ideas and wishes and coming up with some great ideas of his own, most of which we nearly managed to incorporate in our kitchen update within budget! We had physical work to complete as well as the install that required a structural engineer and a building warrant. Stephen recommended an architect who came out on a site visit and made several suggestions. After the arrival of a (very) large skip the wall came down quickly and the old kitchen disappeared. Staveley provided all trades and project managed the job throughout, and despite a couple of minor hiccups (supplier related), the work was efficiently completed. The finish standard is extremely high and Arno's joinery in particular is meticulous as was the painting and decorating. More than a building firm, Stephen and his team offered advice and design ideas that we are delighted with, even returning to offer advice after the job was complete. We hope to undertake further renovations in the future and Staveley will be our first stop.

From conception to completion we felt we were in good hands and were supported in all areas of the project. Their depth of knowledge and experience was clear throughout the project and they met all deadlines and coped with any additional requests that we asked of them. Regarding budget they gave us, at the outset, a clear plan with costs attached. If we requested any changes or additions they kept us informed and detailed what impact this would have on the budget. This meant we were always aware of the costs. The workmanship and attention to detail was exceptional and this was also a great help to the overall design of the spaces. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

I recently completed a 4+ Month and multi part home upgrade (inc attic conversion, new office & storage building, outside terrace and porch) with the team at Staveley and would have no hesitation in providing the highest level recommendation for the quality of work completed. Stephen and Steph were a pleasure to work with and not only co-ordinated many complex aspects of the project including multiple trades as well as Architect and Engineer input, everyone stayed focused on helping us realise the outstanding results and finish we were looking for. We will certainly be using Stephen and the team again for future work and cannot recommend Staveley highly enough.
