Westgate & Keele

It was a great pleasure working with Michael and his brilliant team on my complex renovation project. I appointed Westgate & Keele to renovate an old Victorian warehouse, that had been used as an office and is now my permanent home. The project involved the entire space being gutted, including the removal and replacement of the roof and floors, and took over a year to complete. Michael remained highly professional and personable throughout the project and is a man that adopts an 'anything is possible' attitude, which was refreshing and particularly important on this project as the scope changed throughout. The attention to detail and the finish is excellent and was only possible due to the combination of the great skill, patience and hard work of the Westgate & Keele team. To add to this, the entire team were lovely, honest, hardworking people which made the whole experience far more enjoyable. Micheal and his team at Westgate and Keele completed renovations to the !st and 2nd floor of a terraced Victorian house 2 years ago. I had originally contracted another builder, who did so much damage to the house that amongst other things, all the ceilings fell down and all the plumbing and drains were destroyed. Micheal was recommended by friends and took over, saved and transformed the house I would highly recommend his company on all levels, expertise, price, quality of work, creativity, care and consideration, and really for going the extra mile in all events.

We used Mike and his team to complete an extension, and we were thrilled with the result. Michael’s style is relaxed but engaged, so you get great feedback and well-thought out suggestions on the design - something that ended up saving us a lot of money. He also genuinely loves design and interiors - something that is invaluable when decision fatigue sets in!! They guys were punctual and professional - couldn’t recommend highly enough.

We hired Michael from Westgate & Keele to convert a 6 bedroom property into four flats and do a rear extension. Michael was very affable throughout the build and we found his input, ideas and expertise invaluable. His team were always on site, friendly, tidy and their workmanship was exceptional. We are very happy clients and would definitely recommend Michael and his team.

We felt at ease working with Michael and team from abroad (we were in South Africa during majority of reno with all furniture etc stored in the apartment), and, achieved our brief with flying colours! The whole team added their own spark of magic which really has added value! I would recommend working with these guys any day of the week! Michael helped us source materials for the following brief which really helped keep this project within budget: New Kitchen Remove kitchen/living-room dividing brick wall to make open-plan Bathrooms & cloakroom (stripped and rebuilt/fitted) Engineered wood flooring throughout New carpeting in bedrooms Paint/touch-ups throughout New plumbing throughout New electronics throughout New heating throughout New boiler Divider wall between apartments Obviously a few teething issues and time spent learning all the new systems, but, this was all expected and were resolved efficiently.

My husband and I couldn't recommend W&K highly enough. Communication with Michael was prompt and regular; his team never missed a day at the property during the refurb; they were all extremely polite, well presented and helpful and if there was an issue it was always resolved quickly and efficiently. The post refurb snags were dealt her with quickly and never a problem. Refurb included new bathroom, update on the kitchen and a new wood floor through ground floor area.
