About Us

Door Mate are a small family business Based in Cardiff South Wales formed in 2009 We manufacture rustic products by hand in our small workshop including sliding barn doors hardware barn doors and bespoke furniture pieces to customers request, as well as offer offering a domestic,commercial, industrial door repair and installation service. We have over 20 years in the door industry & a lifetime in the construction industry we know our products and the challenges they offer so please feel free to call us if you hit any problems with any of our DIY products

Excellent customer service from Terry, he went out of his way to provide help/advice and to check/clarify measurements etc, so as to make sure that everything was good. He also mocked-up a door and sent us pictures of it in three different lighting conditions, so we could gauge the colour and style we'd chosen. Really good comms throughout the process....From initial order through to delivery, oh and the final product was amazing. Thanks so much Terry.

Ordered a bespoke door. Based on image on their website. Great service from Terry .., he answered all my crazy questions and it was even shipped to West Yorkshire!

I would struggle to do anything but sing from the rooftop just how good this company is and the products that they provide. The Sales Service is impeccable (a chap called Terry did it for me) and, having now experienced it, the After Sales Service (and Terry again) is just as good. Thank you DoorMate and thank you Terry! Terrific stuff!!!

Absolutely recommend this company for any barn door installation. Terry was extremely helpful with all the technical aspects and measurements to ensure everything fitted and worked exactly as I wanted . Don't bother with cheap options out there as this stuff is built to last the test of time and everyday use... five stars are really not enough.. very very happy diy chap.

Terry was so helpful throughout the entire design process answering all my questions and making practical suggestions. I ordered the Brooklyn double door hardware and DoorMate designed it to ensure it fitted my doors precisely and were able to provide a single length track which meant there was no ugly join in the middle. I was delighted with the quality of all the hardware and the finished product looked fabulous. Thank you so much DoorMate

The doors and hardware are absolutely beautiful. I bought them to compliment my new kitchen but I must say they utterly steal the show. Beautiful piece of craftsmanship, very professional, helpful and efficient service from start to finish. Would highly, highly recommend!

Absolutely delighted with our sliding barn doors. I had been looking for a long time and not found anyone who could make them to size or give a real ‘barn door’ look. I then found Doormate and a multitude of options to choose from. We went for the recycled timber and it has not failed to impress everyone who’s seen them. Terry was a huge help from start to finish and even colour matched to my Farrow and Ball colour scheme. Thank you so much Doormate!
