Ecoflap

Eager to fit a pet flap for my thickly insulated barn conversion, this seemed the ideal solution. I had to wait a long time over the Christmas festive season as Ecoflap had closed their orders to ensure Christmas orders went out successfully- fair enough. So mid January the flap arrived. My husband fitted it with no problem but, honestly, it's so hard to judge sizes until they are in situ and one of my Bengals simply can't fit through the narrow opening caused by the central swivel. It's my own fault as I should have downloaded the PDF of the actual size (which I've only just seen) but I was swayed by the 'insulated' and 'tunnel' elements and was determined to get my cats in and out sooner rather than later. So I'm left feeling somewhat frustrated and saddened to have paid out over £400 for a cat flap that simply doesn't do the job I needed. One other issue is that a huge amount of time is needed to train the animals to attempt it (by fixing the doors open and offering food through it and so on) as it opens entirely differently to any other pet flap. My Bengals are clever and dextrous but they have up to now not been successful at pushing the correct side of the door! However, they have finally gone into the tunnel, which is a success in itself. So would I recommend this cat flap... personally it's not for me but it is less draughty than other ones and shuts well. Just make sure your cat can fit!!!

After endlessly searching for internal letterboxes that don't let the draft in or rattle we came across eco-flap! Great product and does the job.
