“After a lengthy interior remodel, it came time to take our project outside. The exterior of our home was now even more out of synch with the shiny new interior. Our California ranch with original windows, fractured driveway, and boring three rail fencing rated an absolute zero in curb appeal. It was clear that we needed to change everything. Working with our landscape designer, an entire new design consisting of drought friendly plant materials, hardscape, exterior lighting and fencing was conceived. While the hardscape and new plantings freshened things up considerably, we still needed a strong architectural accent. We realized what was needed was a dramatic design choice for the deck rail and fence. After much consideration, it was clear A Chinese chippendale pattern could achieve what was needed . Bids from local carpenters and fence contractors came in and were astronomical. After a few disappointing days, I went online and found Chelsea and Meade. They offered not one but three beautiful designs.which they manufacture in Denver. I contacted them and found my way to David Johnson. He was extremely helpful and explained how to plan this as a partially offsite project. Website photographs showed expert carpentry and elegant fabrication. I ordered one panel as a sample to see the quality of the carpentry for myself. Their work proved to be excellent. I sat down with my handy man and came up with a plan. We created a sample panel that would float at intervals in-between pickets. David was only a phone call or an email away during this process and eager to offer his expertise and advice. We were able to get just the look we wanted with expertly made Chippendale elements at approximately half the price of having them fabricated locally. Using Chelsea and Meade to achieve this elegant and intricate design was a worry free commitment. The panels were shipped to us and we followed our plan. After a week of constuction and a few coats of paint, the "sizzle" that our curb appeal so sorely needed was in place and beautiful. It was wonderful to find a company that had a high quality product along with excellent personal customer service. I would highly recommend them for any project where chippendale fretwork is being considered. Sincerely, Nina Gabriel Los Angeles CA”
