CSI repaired a deteriorating fireplace in our "Snug", took out the woodburner and then re-installed it. We had had others look at it and been told it was a major job due to damp undermining the surround but Jamie nailed the cause of the problem straight away. He clearly knows his business, gave a clear quote with options, stuck to his dates, and was in and out, job done - to a very high standard. To make this work so smoothly meant we also had to be ready, room cleared, protection down, hall sealed off (the quantity of fine dust was amazing). Very professional job and six months later - no cracks, no problems at all. I cannot commend him and his team too highly.

Jamie and his team have recently completed our log burner installation. We converted our gas fire to a log burner and installed a beam plus tiling and an external chimney install. From the very first visit through to completion, Jamie and his team were extremely easy to work with and entirely professional. We even received a credit on the final invoice for some of the materials that were not used! We are so pleased with the finished result and cannot wait to use our log burner for many years to come.

Fantastic stove re-fit. We already had a stove in place when we bought our new home but it wasn't up to regulations. We had the flue re-lined, a hearth build and stonework exposed and repaired. Cambridge Stove Installations talked through our options and together we came up with a plan that suited our design style and budget. The communications before and during the works were fantastic and the team worked really hard to finish the job to a high spec.

I first contacted Jamie about reopening my chimney and after a visit Jamie gave me a detailed quote for the Job and advice on which stove would be practical for our use. He and his team have been professional and courteous whenever I have contacted then. The job was finished to the highest quality and standard and I am extremely happy with the stove purchased.

Fabulous job done on installing multi fuel burner, flue and hearth. Jamie came out to survey and provided us with an accurate and very detailed quote (also the cheapest out of the companies we approached). He responded very promptly to e-mails, any time of day and day of week, to help us choose an appropriate stove and to answer any queries we had. The two guys who installed the stove had some problems due to height of stove and size of cavity, however they still completed the job in a day and to a high standard. They were both extremely polite, professional and respectful. We had anticipated a lot of mess as understandably a dirty job, however no mess whatsoever was created. The plasterer who visited later just to touch up around the cavity unfortunately was not so diligent (made a bit of a mess in lounge and on stove + hearth) however Jamie and the rest of the team literally bent over backwards to rectify and it was all completed to more than satisfactory standard. So in love with our stove. Being from Norway where a log burner is a must, this makes our home extra special for me now. Would highly recommend Jamie and his crew to anyone who is considering getting a stove.

Superb job, we had a very difficulty chimney course which another local company said wouldn't be possible. I approached CSI because of their excellent reviews on checkatrade.com. Pricing was very reasonable and itemised. They explained everything without any pressure whatsoever to buy anything from them - in fact whenever they thought we could get something cheaper elsewhere this was encouraged. They even brought our date forward when they realised how soon our baby was due. The job itself was first class. The team worked to exhaustion, staying late to get the job done in more or less a day, which was really thoughtful and kind of them. The stove looks absolutely brilliant, we were amazed they were able to get it so central given the problems with our chimney. No mess, house left spotless. Absolutely thrilled. I've already recommended CSI to my brother to get his chimney fixed. Happy to recommend CSI on here, you won't regret choosing these guys, they're class.

Jamie at CSI provided a very detailed quote - covering different options - and advised on stove choice (I opted for Charnwood c4 and c5 - brilliant, no regrets). I got three competitive quotes - they were all £££ similar. However, the level of detail and pre-installment advice from Jamie was reassuring and ultimately was the reason why I chose CSI. I made the right decision. Jamie's two colleagues - Toby and Julien - undertook the installations over two days and were highly professional, knowledgeable and personable. It's a mucky job. We had a new woodburning stove, granite hearth and limestone surround installed in our living room by Jamie and his team from CSI. We were happy with the quotation, the attention to detail, and the tidy and timely manner in which this job was completed. All the team members who were here were polite and pleasant. We're delighted with the quality of the workmanship and are already enjoying a few fires!

I required a woodburning stove to be installed in the sitting room of my old cottage, where there had been a small Victorian open fireplace. Jamie came to have a look to see what would need to be done. He gave me a fair quote and was very informative, helpful and punctual, communicating well at all times. I had already purchased the stove from an online site. It took the workmen just 2 days to open up the fireplace to create a suitable recess and to install the stove with a metal flue liner and new slate hearth. They had to remove the brick infill from the sides, top and back of the Victorian fireplace. To my surprise it revealed a much larger Georgian-style fireplace recess, with a self-supporting arch of bricks at the top, which had been hidden by plaster. The bricks at the sides and back were in good condition and came up a lovely red colour after an acid wash and repointing. I had originally thought I would need a fibreboard insert to cover over damaged brickwork. For stability reasons a concrete lintel needed to be inserted underneath the brick arch at the front of the chimney breast, which was then replastered a week or so later, creating a square shaped recess. I am very happy with the result. The brick recess looks very attractive and just the right size for the stove. I can recommend this company for quality, value and professionalism. The installers were very conscientious, tidy and polite during the work.

Engaged to install a previously-purchased stove, the work included opening up the fire place, cleaning brick-work in the opening, replacing the flue liner in the chimney and installing a new pot, installing the stove, laying a granite hearth, plaster-work to make good. All of this was completed in two days (except plastering) to a very high standard of work and we're very happy with the results. Highly recommended as a thoroughly professional company.
