“We have sold and installed Stovax & Gazco products for over 30 years in Cambridge and the surrounding area. Their comprehensive product range has options to suit all budgets and property types, and their strength as a manufacturer is that they concentrate on developing products to suit the evolving UK market, something which is not often the case for European manufacturers.”

“Wood burning stove built and fitted into a VW camper. Owen Thomas of stovedesign built and fitted into my VW25 camper his superb stainless steel Chrome Wasp microstove. He made a polished stainless steel single skin stovepipe from three sections so that with two vertical and one angled section it would be as out of the way as is possible. Given the tight space of the 25 interior for the stove and pipes and their inevitable close proximity to body and skin Owen made a bespoke pipe-guard from welded stainless steel mesh. Also with this mesh he made up a panel which can be slotted into holes which are in both the shelf for the stove and the wood store below it - so that if the stove is burning while I'm asleep in bed the duvet cannot come into contact with the stove and while travelling this fits below into the floor to stop the stored wood from tumbling loose and into the van. At my request he then cut and fitted my recycled (naturally patinated) copper sheets that I wanted to clad the surrounding units and whilst doing so fashioned a heat shield from this to protect a side window from the heat of the stovepipe, adding a natty rolled and crimped a zig-zag copper trim its sides to cover the sharp edges. Owen also cut a hole in the camper roof, fitted ceramic insulation the roof void (and also behind copper cladding where the stove sits) and also flashings, cowl etc to the roof. Because the stove sits on a raised shelf he cut a 100mm hole in the shelf below the stove for a 100mm computer fan to be fastened beneath it to 'pull down' stove-warmed air to floor level, another example of his pragmatic ingeniousness! I couldn't be happier with the stove, stovepipe guard (I'm amazed how effective this simple but attractive looking device is) and copper cladding and am equally happy with Owen's work on its fixtures and fittings and the quickness he demonstrated working out solutions to problems I kept presenting to him with my quirky wants and needs. Since then the stove and fittings have been universally admired wherever I've driven my camper though I'm hardly surprised as it looks absolutely superb !”
