It was a really awkward L-shape with an unsightly view of the nextdoor outbuilding and Kristina managed to create a garden of three compartments which made sense of the space, with a pleached hornbeam hedge to screen the view. Kristina listened to all our requirments and delivered a stunning colourful flower garden with a pergola of our choice as a centrepiece, which gives us joy all the year round. She helped us monitor the progress of the hard landscaping contractors, prepared the beds and planted up the garden to the highest standard all within a short timescale. We have shown our garden for the last two years for the National Gardens Scheme and always receive wonderful comments about it. Kristina continues to oversee our garden and its ongoing development.”

“Just over a year ago we moved into this lovely old house 400 metres from the sea with 2 completely shingle spaces as front and back gardens! Fine for tenants, low maintenance but barren. Thank goodness we found Janette of Cornus Garden Design - she turned our blank canvas into 2 tranquil and beautiful spaces making use of the existing shingle. We had no side access but Janette solved this problem by putting us in touch with a company that laid walkways in Marinas and Industrial Plants. Once our retaining wall was strengthened the surface was covered with the non-slip grill which is perfect and sits well with this house. Her whole design and planting scheme is sympathetic to the surroundings and our suggestions and we couldn't be more thrilled with the result. The use of low planting in the beds with taller planting at the edges and the beautiful water feature and lighting add interest and depth to the design. The hard landscaping was inspired.
