About Us

A World of Furniture started in 1994 by husband and wife Mark and Lucy Hotson in a small unit in Salisbury has now grown to 4 substantial superstores across the southcoast making us one of the biggest independent furniture retailers in the south. Once known as A world of pine, when the market was dominated by traditional pine furniture, we saw a changing market and decided to change with that market becoming A world of furniture, which better describes our ever growing portfolio of solid oak, pine, painted, mango, sheesham and so many other types of furniture, including now a superb selection of fabric and leather sofas, mixed with a whole wealth of accessories - we really do have a whole world of choice! A World Of Furniture is one of my regular clients who I have supplied products to for approximately eight years. They are always a pleasure to deal with and I would have no doubt at all in recommending them as a customer or a supplier. I have bought items of furniture from them myself and the build quality and service received was fantastic.

On trying to find an oak unit and being told it did not exist by other retailers I was amazed by the selection shown and alternatives available at a world of furniture Chandlers ford. The sales man was prepared to listen and take the time to offer options. On placing the order the time quoted was kept to I will certainly return to add to the collection.
