Awful experience. We ordered a garden furniture set on 19th April following a big promotion in The Daily Telegraph. On 29th May I got an email to say that our furniture was with courier and I was to contact them with any queries. Two week later I phoned the courier to be told that Out and Out had not yet supplied them with my order. Since then I have tried to contact Out and Out by phone and by email with no response. I have no idea if we will ever get our order.

I ordered a garden dining set on 7th April, it was advertised in the times magazine . After they had banked my money, I was informed that there would be a 5 week delay for delivery. 7 weeks later it still has not arrived, and they are not answering their phone or emails. Don't order from them unless it is cash on delivery

Out and Out Jokers - The Worst Customer Experience of a Lifetime This review is best enjoyed accompanied with the theme from Radio 1's 'Our Tune'. My story starts in early January 2018. After 10 years of memories it was finally time to say goodbye to our faithful Karlstad Ikea sofas. They'd been with me since I first moved into my former bachelor pad. As I have slowly changed from the young, single care free twenty something I once was, to the caring husband and father I am now, the stains and spills had slowly accumulated on my once beautiful, cream sofas. From the cheap beer, red wine and rum of the late noughties to the baby milk, Ella's kitchen pouches and occasional craft beer of more recent years, the beauty had faded and, sadly, the un-washable covers meant there was no bringing them back from the brink. It was over. It was time to move on. I felt it was time to leave Ikea behind and grow up. It was time for something beautiful, some craftsmanship and something built to last. Spoiler alert - none of this will happen, but we will be left £1000 out of pocket with no sofas. We bought two 'Olivia' sofas from Out and Out Originals in their January sale. We loved the style and colour - and at just over £1000 for the two it felt like a really good price. We were slightly apprehensive since we hadn't heard of Out and Out Original before, but were reassured by the company featuring in Elle Decoration and The Guardian. We also assumed that their 11k Facebook fans amounted to an army of happy customers, each one of whom is now living the dream after leaping into the great unknown. We hit the buy box, looked into each others eyes and dreamed of our future together with Olivia and the new adventures that lay ahead of us. The sofas arrived within a few weeks of ordering - an amazing turn around. With the old and battered Karlstad sofas banished to the dump we were so excited. Two lovely chaps quickly delivered and assembled the sofas. Then it got weird. The colour of the sofas was different to the colour on screen - what looked a cultured, on trend shade of grey on the website was as black as the night. I wasn't too happy but thought I'd wait for my wife to come back, and thus wouldn't turn them away immediately. The lovely delivery chap then got a bit pushy. He asked me to sign a couple of forms to confirm delivery details but upon reading them they were actually contracts that would waive my consumer rights. I said I wouldn't sign them and then he repeatedly requested me to do so. I continued to say no. I felt harassed and uncomfortable. He then produced another delivery contract and asked me to sign it - when it was the same one. He was trying to trick me. I felt like I was being conned. I said no one last time. He left abruptly. It was all very strange. With the delivery men out of my life I gave the sofas a full inspection. It was then that I realised that they were not the sofas of my dreams but the sofas of my nightmares. The cushions were misshapen, the fabric felt cheap and (as for the ultimate test) they were uncomfortable. These are the risks of buying online but Consumer Contracts Regulations enable anyone to change their mind within 14 days of an online purchase. After two hours in the house it was time to say goodbye. I called Out and Out to say thanks but no thanks and organise a return. I was asked if I had signed any documents (specifically the one that waived my consumer rights) - I hadn't so I could breathe a sigh of relief. They told me the colour is true to the website (which it isn't) and the cushions would bounce back into shape (which they didn't). Eventually and somewhat begrudgingly they organised them to be collected. I say begrudgingly because it took no fewer than seven separate phone calls to get them to pick them up. In the meantime we were sitting on the floor since we didn't want to damage the sofas in any way. My wife was eight and a half months pregnant at the time but this didn't seem to bother anyone we spoke to along the way. Everyone in the customer service team was as lovely as they were ineffective. I felt sick to my stomach that we would be stuck with these sofas. Little did I realise that there was a less desirable option which I now find myself in. The sofas were collected two weeks after delivery. For those two weeks me and my pregnant wife were sitting on the floor to avoid dirtying or damaging the goods. With the sofas now out of our lives we thought we could finally move on - however that would not be the case. A month and a half later we still haven't received our money back. With no sofas to sit on and £1000 out of pocket I can't help but yearn for Karlstad to be back in our lives and this whole episode to be one bad dream. Early this week we were twice promised that the refund would get sorted but nothing has materialised. We are hopeful that our money will eventually be returned. In the meantime we have some very lovely deckchairs in the living room. The good news is that in the middle of all this we welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world - who is yet to experience the pure joy of sitting on a sofa!

I bought a product from this company
Appalling and Incompetent Avoid this place at all costs. Order placed under pre-delivery and told 3-6 weeks for delivery. Not a word for 5 weeks and so we phoned them for an update. Rude, unhelpful employee barked that "order will be delivered 27 July" and to ring their courier if we wanted any more information! This was somewhat surprising given that our contract is with the company and not their courier. However, wanted to resolve so rang courier to get delivery slot and told between 10 and 2. Elderly parents waited in all day with no contact from either the company or courier. Finally phoned company at 1.50 to be told furniture "wasn't being delivered today" and again to phone courier to reschedule. Offered £40 for the inconvenience, which is quite frankly pathetic and laughable. Even this was only done after we chased them again and again. Told that owner Daniel Fairburn is "too busy" to speak with me to resolve amicably, what does that say about how they view customer service? Furniture has now finally turned up with marks and scuffs all over it and so will be returned. Whole experience is completely unacceptable. Would strongly advise anyone to avoid using and find alternatives who can be relied upon to deliver a positive customer service.

I ordered an armchair from them
I ordered a beautiful armchair, waited six weeks (3-6 weeks anticipated) then they contacted me for delivery. I was not available on the day so they said they would rearrange. Then a few days later I got an email to say they were out of stock! What appalling service - obviously big flaws in their communication with suppliers or internally. I'm so disappointed too as I've spent 6 weeks showing people the picture of my lovely lavender armchair. So no I would not recommend Out and Out Original

We ordered an outdoor set back in April. Came quickly, easy to put together, good quality. Then we noticed the cushions were different colours. One sandy colour, one grey. So couldn't use the cushions as wanted to sort it and send them back. I have now gone through four separate phone calls to customer services, and about three emails. Customer service always seem very helpful and have sent new cushions through but not the correct colour. So told me to get in touch with them via email which I have done, twice now and sent photos as they requested which I have also done but have heard nothing. It is now August and still nothing resolved. What a shame

I ordered a product from this company
Beautiful products, great prices, horrendous experience. I ordered a dining set from Out and Out Original last year - the product arrived within the stated time and we were over the moon with it, so they were my first port of call when looking for a garden dining set this year. After looking at a few different options we specifically chose an item that was in stock, as we wanted a speedy delivery due to a party we were hosting soon. I ordered on 28 March and delivery time specified was 5-7 days. Four days later I got an email from them to say that the item was in fact not in stock and was due to arrive at their warehouse within three weeks. When I looked on their website again, they were showing it as a pre-order with a 2% discount. I replied to say I was disappointed and asked whether they would be applying the discount to our order. No one replied. Two weeks later, still no dining set and no response to my email so I sent another one. This time someone responded to say that they would refund the pre-order discount which, by this time, had gone down to 1%. I decided to let this one go! On 21 April, I got a call from the transport company - it was a Thursday and they wanted to deliver that Saturday. I explained that we were away but that we could do any day the following week. But they said they couldn't schedule in the following week's delivery yet and that someone would call me on Monday to arrange this. The following week, no phone call. So this week I called to ask what was going on. They told me that they had given my set to another customer! They said that Out and Out Original did not give them enough stock for the amount of customers who had ordered it and they no longer had my order. I was pretty peeved by this point so I called Out and Out and asked to speak to the owner or manager. The very pleasant lady on the phone apologised for what had happened and told me that someone would call me back. No one called me back. I then emailed asking to cancel my order and have a full refund. No reply as yet. Today I called again and have been told that my cancellation is being processed. I hope to have my refund within five working days. Sadly, as we approach the hottest weekend of the year, I have no outdoor dining furniture. I like to support small, British companies and I appreciate that mistakes happen but unfortunately this was just too much. I will not shop here again and I will certainly not recommend this company. Beautiful products are not a substitute for customer service.

I bought my sofas from them.
I absolutely love the two sofas I bought from Out & Out. They were both delivered within a week of ordering them, the delivery company were great, they gave me a delivery date and then updates during the day so I didn't have to hang about waiting. The sofas themselves are just as described online, they are comfortable and look wonderful, I could not be happier. It's a bit of a gamble ordering sofas online, when you haven't had a chance to sit on them, but these are great, i'm so glad I took the gamble!

We purchased a 5ft Brunel dining bench. The wood and metal construction looked both a quirky but elegant. We would have have expected to pay much more for a similar product. the bench arrived very quickly and self assembly was very easy. Also when purchasing the bench we omitted to supply a discount code that made this bench even better value. Out and Out refunded the discounted amount with no problems. A pleasure doing business with this company who also have great after sales service. .

Ordered an Olivia Sofa from Out and Out original. I was contacted by text within a week to arrange delivery, and this was scheduled at a convenient time (I was first drop of the day for the delivery team sothey arrived at 7.30 in the morning so I could get to work in good time). Item is good quality, I cannot fault it and would order from Out and Out original again.

Although I have yet to receive my order, as it was a pre order. The service and the simplicity of ordering what I wanted was amazing, I've had good feedback from friends that have ordered and have had their items for years. I'll be coming back for more

I bought furniture from them
Got a great deal in boxing day sale on industrial style Brunel 6 seater table and chairs set. Arrived relatively quickly (2 weeks) and looks amazing. Seems to be great quality but mainly it looks incredible and is stylish - the table now forms the centrepiece of my room and everybody visiting has been wowed and commented positively on it. The chairs are also very comfortable. Customer service was good too - one bolt was missing from the pack in delivery meaning I couldn't assemble the table fully, but they sent out a new bolt immediately that arrived in a few days, meaning I wasn't inconvenienced for too long. Overall a good experience and very happy with my purchase. Would recommend for great style at a great cost.
