About Us

Spaced In Cabinet Makers make beautiful built in furniture - just down stream in the marginally less romantic Goat Road industrial estate in Mitcham! We specialise in a small but perfectly formed range of classic designs for bedrooms and living rooms. These include alcove storage, TV display shelving, wardrobes and walk in wardrobes, with built in LED lighting if desired. Whether you’re looking for a decoratively panelled Victorian style, plain panelled Shaker or flat fronted minimal designs, we craft and spray finish them in our workshop. They are bespoke to your home, including your sizing requirements and any choice of colour you like. We use tools and techniques as old as carpentry alongside modern materials and technology with the simple ideal that fine craftsmanship should be as affordable as possible. The huge benefit of our crafting process is that it hugely reduces the time and mess in your home: limited cutting and no painting in situ means that we’ll be started and finished by the time you get home from work. I have had the pleasure to have Ben install fitted wardrobes in our flat, and could not be happier. Excellent craftsmanship, great quality materials used and Ben himself is a great professional to have around the house, who is flexible on working times and adjusts to the needs of the client. A few years after installing the wardrobes he also came back to fix things back to perfect standard after one of my children had broken one of the drawers at no cost. Ben comes with highest recommendations from me.

I found Ben and Spaced in Ltd on Pinterest, I called up and asked for a meeting so that they could measure up and quote for a fitted wardrobe in our new loft extension main bedroom. Ben was very attentive and accommodated with a swift appointment, measurements were taken, suggestions discussed and proposals followed. Once I placed the order I kept them to a fairly tight building and fitting schedule all of which they fulfilled. The end result was a superb example of how to design, build and install fitted furniture but more importantly to keep the client happy. I am in the industry and decided to give a local guy the opportunity - delighted with the finished product, well done.

We were looking to optimise space in our Victorian flat in London, Ben was able to provide some very helpful advice and interpreted our brief perfectly. We decided on built-in wardrobes, built-in cupboards either side of the fireplace and floating shelves. The finish was to a very high standard and really helped when we came to sell the property. The bedroom functioned well with all of the additional storage space and was worthy of a magazine photo shoot it looked so nice! We have now moved into a Victorian house and are already in touch with Ben to work on our living room and bedrooms. We cannot recommend SpacedIn highly enough, Ben is a thoroughly nice chap and the craftsmanship is beautiful!

We chose Spaced In Ltd build a pair of alcoves and a media unit and could not be happier with the result. Ben discussed our requirements with us on an initial visit, was more than accommodating with our indecision on colour choice and was happy to discuss the resulting quote and designs, allowing us to make a few tweaks here and there to make sure we were completely satisfied. Once we finalised the details, we paid a deposit and an approximate installation date was provided. Again Spaced In were accommodating for the fitting date and when worked efficiently and cleanly to install our units which look fantastic. I would certainly recommend.
