I wish there was a no star option. Awful customer service when chasing our headboard order. They had all our details wrong. Finally came 5 weeks after due date. No explanation given but blamed the couriers. Quality is nothing like you see in the pics and spec. £800 for something that looked like you could make it yourself for £100. Just don’t do it. EBC if you read this.. take note. Why bother selling yourself as something you just aren’t.

I ordered an upholstered Bromley sleigh bed, the product is gorgeous, great workmanship, beautifully made, the colour matched to the swatch without any batch issues. Delivery was prompt and professional, the bed taken upstairs and constructed. I did not give 5 stars as honestly overall customer service was OK, my emails were answered, however service was not outstanding. I never spoke with the same sales rep giving the sales process an impersonal feel when this is not a budget/ every-day item. If there was some staff rapport I may have increased our order as we were interested in coordinating products with the bed, I even ended up ordering the mattress through another company.

Thank you for my beautiful bed and matching ottoman. I am very happy with the finished products, the fabric is beautiful and I can see both the bed and ottoman have been made well. I love going to bed now, it has really made such a difference to my bedroom, it's like being in a boutique hotel - perfect!

Absolutely brilliant quality and I received regular emails updating me until my bed was ready for delivery. Good communication is very rare these days. The delivery team were very efficient too. I would recommend The English Bed Company to anyone.

Bed was delivered and delivery company could not get it up the stairs. called up and first enquiry was great - presented with options and also advised that some companies have taken a window out to get the bed upstairs. We then called a window glazer to get the window out at a cost of £125p/h who literally took the bed up the flight of stairs in 5 minutes. We then realised that the instructions to build the bed were not in any of the boxes. I called up and was assured on 3 separate occasions that the instructions had been sent via email while I was on the phone. We were not given the instruction as the delivery men were meant to build it themselves ( funny that). It took my husband 3 hours to build it on his own as the gas lift was a bit tricky. When I complained I gave all this information as well as photos of the scuff marks on the fabric, holes in lining and studs not hammered in correctly - I was told that they would pay back £45 and they would sent someone from the factory (in Blackburn and Manchester) to London to take care of the scuffs - This as photos showed would involve removing the side panels. My husband point blank refused as it took so long to put together. Now I paid over £80 for delivery and then a further £125 to get the bed up my staircase and now have a damaged item. I dont feel that this is a good enough compensation and have since emailed and phoned only to be ignored. Stay away from this company unless you are have to pay a small fortune (£1200 is a small fortune to me) for faulty goods and bad service.

Great Bed and Great Service, cant fault them. visited there showroom and found the bed i was looking for and also had a one colleague talk me through the different fabric choices.

Do not use this company. I bought a bed that seemed lovely when it arrived. 18 months later 9 of the 18 tufts have come through leaving fraying round holes and a flat and baggy mattress with no air flow. Their response was it was only guaranteed for a year. I don't know about you but I expect a 'quality ' mattress to last longer than 18 months. Do not buy off this company they are cowboys and their products are shoddy avivwoils also avoid their sofas!!!
