Working from a studio in the heart of the stunning Herefordshire countryside, Thomas Crawley Bespoke Furniture Designs has built its reputation on the creation of bespoke furniture, often to a highly personal brief.
Thomas Crawley trained as a furniture designer and maker in London and Paris and his vision is to design furniture that seamlessly blends form, feel and function. He has taken inspiration from architects, designers and makers as diverse as George Nakashima, Zaha Hadid and John Makepeace, mixing rustic contemporary with chic.
The studio specialises in pieces made from native English woods such as Yew, Walnut, Ash, Oak and Lime, all of which are sourced sustainably from environmentally friendly producers, all certified in their relevant fields.
Where possible, local materials are used, particularly when it comes to hard wood where the aesthetics of ‘character and flawed’ pieces of timber make for a uniquely interesting and pleasing experience.
This dedication to the integrity of materials, combined with an ability to capture their clients’ wishes with completely original and pleasing designs means Thomas Crawley Bespoke Furniture Designs attracts commissions not only from Herefordshire and local counties, but London and throughout the world.
