The Furniture Restylist - Claire Hill - Somerset

We moved into our bungalow in Feb 2021 & contacted Claire @ The Furniture restylist for a quote for our kitchen in April. The kitchen was left in a terrible state. Claire arranged a visit which was mutually acceptable. A quote was sent with absolutely no obligation. Having a kitchen restyled is a big descion to make when there were so many other areas that needed time, energy & money. So fast forward a few months. In November we decided to see if Claire had availability to restyle our kitchen. And she did. Another meeting was scheduled and she brought examples of different coloured drawers. This helped make our choice of colour easier. The next stage was fixing a date & agreeing timescale. Claire has great communication skills. She replies to any messages & is a pleasure to deal with. She is hard working, professional and a perfectionist. We asked for regular photos/updates. The reason for this is so that we can showcase her work as a story board. Very often people don’t see or appreciate all the behind the scenes work involved. Our kitchen was grim. Covered in grease. We had tried to scrub doors but they were just awful. That was the hardest part of Claire’s work. She ensured the cupboards were degreased, sanded & made good even before a coat of primer or paint was applied. All the cupboards & drawers were taken off site to her work shop. It was great having Claire restyle our kitchen. It looks amazing, has a new lease of life and gives us so much pleasure. It finally feels like our kitchen in our home. No brush strokes & all perfect. A massive transformation. Thank you Claire for make our kitchen look so stylish. We absolutely love it!!

Claire completely transformed my kitchen and we’re delighted. Without changing a single aspect of the room other than having our cabinets and drawers painted, we have an entirely new room. Claire was thorough with her consultation, bringing painted door samples in my colour of choice to show me how the end product would look. During the re-style I had complete access to my kitchen as the cupboard fronts were painted off-site. Claire was so reliable and very tidy when she needed to paint in situ so there was hardly any disruption at all. The end result was staggering. The kitchen is now so bright and unique, it was everything I’d hoped for. My fears that there might be visible brush strokes on the doors completely vanished when I saw the end product; it’s immaculate. What a cost-effective, easy and sustainable way to change a kitchen!
