London Garden Rooms

I had a garden room installed in 2016 and was impressed with the quality and service received. Based on that experience, in 2019 I had an extension built and a rooflight retrofitted to the original project. In August 2021, I noticed that the roof membrane was lifting around the rooflight. I reported this to LGR and they rectified this in March 2022.

I hired this company to do e redesign of my garden. They insisted I transfer the whole of the fee before starting work, which should have rang alarm bells. The whole process was very slow and they consistently failed to meet their own self imposed deadlines. On one occasion the designer contacted me an hour after the agreed meeting time to say that he wood not be coming. They were evasive and failed to respond to numerous emails. I was expecting more from the design itself i.e. detailed, architectural style-CAD drawings but what I ended up with was a hand drawn sketch which was not to scale. The design takes a geometric shape with several intersecting lines, unfortunately I had to use another company to change several elements because they simply would not work as several of the measurements they took were incorrect. Would not recommend.

Steven and the team at London Garden Rooms were fantastic from the start. They had some great ideas and helped with the landscaping of the garden as well. What really impressed me is the quality of the build and that the room was built to a bespoke size and design as standard. I have and will recommend them to anyone who wants an all year round garden room, truly good enough to live in, built to the highest standards.

LGR were fantastic from start to finish. From our initial surprise visit to their office to ask our many questions, to their final departure when we were left to enjoy our new space, we were listened to and real effort was made to exceed our expectations. Jimmy and crew worked in the cold without complaint, and were punctual, polite and professional. They met the original deadline with ease, and drafted in extra staff to varnish and fence to make sure. We were able to change the cosmetic details right up until the work was done, so we could see the basic room before a final decision, and the inclusive price included proper plastering, painting and high quality windows and doors, plus electrics, a heater and an internet connection. The quality of the insulation throughout means that the room requires minimal heating even in winter, unlike many inferior competitors, and we feel that we have extended our house without the hassle, time and expense of modifying the existing structure. We cannot recommend LGR highly enough and, six months later, we would not change anything.

London Garden Rooms and their sister company, London Landscapes did a fantastic job for us - both building a garden room and landscaping our garden. From Michelle in the office to Jimmy and his crew on the ground, the professionalism is absolute and the quality of work and communication excellent. I can heartily recommend them - I cannot imagine that other garden room companies could be better. We are so happy with the service we received and are loving our new room and garden!

Super people to work with. Great advice and reasonable price with quality materials and finish from the start rather than a procession of upgrades and escalating quote! Excellent execution by real craftsman who really cared about making us happy. An easy project and a fabulous and really beautiful space for us to enjoy for years and years. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending London Garden Rooms.

London Garden Rooms are great. From our initial consultation to the finished garden room and garden, we were impressed. We had been let down by another company and on reflection we were very lucky as London Garden Rooms were very professional. Unusually for builders, people are on site every day and finish one job before they start another. This can get tricky as people, U.S. Included then want more done, so they may start a little later than initially said. We are delighted with the workmanship and our friends are impressed as well. One suggestion, if you are planning a garden room add a hidden shed, it's brilliant. Will post pics soon.

From my very first meeting with Steven I knew that this is the company I wanted to order our garden studio from. I liked his professional approach and "a can do" attitude towards all my requests. We did a lot of research on what's available on the market and were impressed by the fact that London Garden Rooms offer a bespoke service with such high quality items included in a package such as aluminium bi-fold doors, plastered and painted interior etc. Their builders (two young brothers) are a pleasure to have around. Always on time, tidy and neat, respectful of your personal space and considerate, they are the best builders we've ever came across. The work was completed as planned and within an agreed timeframe. It will soon be a year since our studio was built and we can't be more happier. London Garden Rooms also did paving in our garden after they finished building the studio, which is fantastic too! We've received a lot of compliments over the last few months on how our garden was transformed from unused weeded lawn to a beautiful designer looking sanctuary. We will not hesitate recommending London Garden Rooms to any of our friends and colleagues. Thank you!
