“Paul possesses a depth of knowledge, a passion and an eye for detail that is second to none. He took our plot (ugly patio, laid to lawn, patchy and moss ridden) and transformed it into a thing of beauty which takes my breath away daily. He listened carefully to our aspirations and made some detailed notes which he then turned into a design upon which a detailed landscape and planting plan was developed for the landscaping team. Paul was onsite regularly throughout the 3 week project and carried out all of the planting himself. He even popped back to meet with us after completion to hand over and give us all the information and tips we need to maintain our new 'living room'. We are already using it more. The different layers and textures integrate to give a feeling of space and tranquility we never had before. The lighting casts shadows on the house and highlights our feature trees and shrubs which we look forward to watching grow. I've always lived my life at 100mph and Paul has given me something I've never had before; a space to relax and a hobby that I can grow into that brings a new element to my life. I whole-heartedly recommend Paul to anyone considering a garden project.”

“We wanted to convert a large and unused space in our garden into an area which would predominantly feature planting. It was also important that it blended into the open country-side beyond. Jeremy devised a huge, naturalistic planting scheme featuring seven large planting beds filled with flowers and grasses with narrow paths in-between. The plants are arranged in large swathes which provides great impact and also makes maintenance much easier. This garden now looks absolutely beautiful flowering from May through to October. Jeremy did a great job and we would certainly recommend him to others.”

“Highly knowledgeable about all aspects of planting in the garden. Impressive practical knowledge and skills when it comes to maintenance of a garden, bearing in mind budget implications and restrictions. There is not much Bramley Apple doesn't know about garden design, demonstrating a willingness and skill to research an effective solution to problems such as poor soil, challenging landscapes or difficult areas within the garden. After five years, our garden is maturing into a wonderful space which is used daily and has given us such lasting pleasure. We couldn't have wished for a better design!”

“Aralia designed and built our small garden, transforming the ragged mish-mash of unplanned year-on-year additions into a more modern space with two water features and plenty of room to sit at various points to admire the planting and the design. Height is achieved through pleached hornbeams, black bamboo (which grows up rather than out) and a crab apple. The illusion of greater space in what is a small garden is provided by the rill and pond and pathways. Distinct planted areas now lead the eye to the flowers and plants. All completed with the minimum fuss and in good time.”

“Stock Gardens worked with us to create our beautiful garden that has exceeded our expectations. The team listened to how we used the garden and what we wanted from our new space. They were also happy to change the design and include our feedback as the project went on. The entire team were professional and friendly and worked extremely hard - even in the rain! This was our first garden landscape project and we was surprised at the level of preparation work required. The on-site team also included additional finishing touches which took the finished garden from great to excellent. They really cared about the finished product. I would use them again.”

“I've had the wonderful pleasure of working with a very creative designer, Rachel Matthews. I've enjoyed her landscape designs for years via her website, videos, and books. Finally, it was time, time to get my neglected backyard going. For years I've been stymied by the lack of design and a backyard that looked down right boring. Rachel, was very responsive and dedicated to getting our design right. Through her emails and videos, everything we wanted was coming into place. I am now looking forward taking the design from paper to reality. And a "Wow!" backyard can finally be created. Thank you, Rachel, for all your help in creating such a beautiful landscape.”
