“Creation 7 build the master addition on our house. It is generally understood that having major remodeling done on your house, can be a frustrating process. It's noisy, messy, and usually, goes over budget. I can honestly say that almost none of these were true for our experience with Creation 7. The men were so respectful of our space. They cleaned up at the end of the day - no mess was ever left. The construction generally stayed within budget. These guys were a pleasure to be around also. They were funny and nice, but also respectful of our need for privacy. Also our completed addition! It's so gorgeous! Everything is in perfect working order. Their eye for detail and overall craftsmanship is amazing. I really can't say enough how great our en suite master bedroom is. It has transformed our house from an old boring space into our dream house. I highly, highly recommend Creation 7!”

“This was our first construction project. Cottage really helps make the ADU process accessible, approachable, and less intimidating. It’s easy to trust the Cottage team - you can feel the level of integrity and honest and high quality of work. Cottage made it easy, and for a competitive price. Building an ADU is not cheap, just like building a house in the Bay Area is not cheap. For building a custom stick-built ADU, the price was great. They are all very hardworking and responsive. Construction can be nerve racking but Cottage was always very calm, professional, friendly, approachable, and kept us in the loop. They made us feel good every step of the way. It’s been a pleasure and fun working with Cottage! I consider my contacts for Cottage to be like friends...really high quality people. It’s a breath of fresh air to work with a firm like Cottage compared one considers traditional design or general contractor companies. Cottage uses the latest technology and is just easy to talk to and work with - less intimidating than others we met with. They are very approachable, communicative and friendly.”

“Buildind Lab provided both design and build services for a stand alone au-pair suite at our property. Stephen Shoup was personally involved through the effort. He and his team's commitment to quality, detail and excellence was indeed stellar. They understood us as clients and our needs and specific tastes. They truly listened and reacted with speed. They stuck to their original budget and timeline. Above everything else, their strive for perfection and desire to exceed expectations is indicative about the ethic and pride they bring to their work, day-in and day-out. “We bought our lovely traditional stucco home knowing we would remodel much of the house. It had great bones but the kitchen and baths were in dire need of being redone. The stairs to the lower level were terrible as were the lower rooms. We wanted our dream house. We had worked with Lisa & Gary on upgrading our previous home for sale and were very pleased with their work, so we called them to do the remodel. We love to cook so the kitchen was a priority. Gary and Lisa listened to everything we wanted and came up with the perfect plan doubling our square footage and adding 2 master suites, a fabulous kitchen with a family room and office. With great planning we were able to live in our home during much of the work including working around our 2 kids and 3 cats!. Most importantly they transformed our house into our dream home. They were able to maintain the historical architecture and blend in the more modern finishes in the kitchen and baths. We love our house and are never moving!”

“I received a recommendation for Brad Hannah in January 2020. 60 year plus friends in the construction field (who had moved out of the area) recommended Brad for a roof replacement and interior work on my 63 year old home. They had two words to describe Brad - "Good" and "Honest". Their opinion was seconded by my insurance adjuster. Not Brad's biggest job but he gave me wonderful advice and work. My house looked brand new when he finished. I decided to do some more work on the house earlier this year. Again, not a big job for Brad. Remodeled the mini master bath making the shower twice the size of the old, and new cabinet doors and drawers in the kitchen. Brad subbed the stone work out - quartz shower, vanity top and new quartz kitchen countertop. While the stone guy wasn't the most expensive, his work is outstanding. I LOVE MY NEW HOUSE. It does look brand new and I smile whenever I enter the bath or the kitchen. As I've said - I'm not Brad's biggest or even average spending customer. My jobs were small. BUT, the quality of his work shines through. I think you see how good someone is on the little jobs maybe a little clearer than on some bigger ones. If I spotted anything that I didn't like - Brad was out in a day to remedy it. He's not the fastest or least expensive - he's just the best.”

“We worked with HDR Remodeling twice in our Oakland condo: once in 2007 to convert a hall closet into a laundry closet. Most recently in May-June 2012 to remodel and repaint the whole condo after a major mold remediation. In 2007 we purchased a washer & dryer and needed a closet fixed up to accommodate them. We interviewed a few contractors, but were most impressed with Philip's experience and went with him. His pricing was not the lowest of the contractors we met, but not overly high either. And as with our most recent project, we feel we got quality work for our price. Each professional who came in for their piece of the job (plumber, carpenter, electrician, etc.) was courteous and all of them worked quickly and efficiently to complete the job on time. They could have used sturdier shelving, but it's held up okay these past 5 years. This spring we needed to remodel the condo in preparation for sale. After our move out of the condo last year, we had mold remediation throughout the condo so all our bamboo flooring was taken out, a foot or more of drywall was removed from many interior walls and our bedroom windows were stripped down to the studs. HDR replaced all the drywall, covered the window frames, painted the entire condo, put down new carpeting and replaced a broken sliding door screen. Since we were out of state, Philip did his initial walk-through while on the phone with me then sent photos regularly so we were completely updated each step of the way. The work was done in a timely and efficient manner with HDR sourcing all the materials and workers. Overall I recommend HDR for their excellent customer service, friendly and competent workers and long-time experience. Their prices are a bit high, but not unreasonable for the quality work we've seen.”

“We hired K-H Custom Home Solutions to remodel the shower in our master bathroom after we had the shower pan replaced. The replacement effort destroyed much of the original wall tile. That tile was 25 years old and was used throughout the room. It was also used in the our other 2 bathrooms.. But it is impossible to find new tiles that match the original color. We needed a remodel that used a different tile color but that blended seamlessly with the rest of the room and would enhance the appearance instead of looking like a repair or add-on. Fortunately, we found K-H and Ken Jones, the owner. Ken and his crew did a fantastic job. It was so well done that one really can't tell where the new tile work begins, and yet the shower stall is much more elegant than the original one. We couldn't be more pleased. Ken is a real professional and his crew are skilled craftsmen who strive for perfection in their work. We will definitely hire them for any future work on our house.”
