“Remodel of home: Installed hurricane impact windows and doors; removed and replaced popcorn ceilings; installed new kitchen to include demolition, raised ceiling, recessed lighting, 42" maple wood upper cabinetry, 3cm quartz countertops, glass backsplash, undermount SS sink, new wine bar area, and added electrical outlets; installed wood laminate flooring throughout; insulated enclosed porch ceiling and installed tongue-and-groove wood ceiling; furred out walls and added drywall to two porch walls; added electrical outlets and recessed lights with dimmer switch on porch; added A/C ductwork and vents to enclosed porch; installed new A/C; painted all walls, ceilings, and trim; installed 5" baseboards; installed ceiling fans; installed cable hookups; installed faux wood blinds in all windows and one slider; installed retractable stairs to garage airspace; installed dryer vent ductwork to exterior of home; installed garage opener keypad; removed and replaced caulking in master bathroom shower; installed poolside GFCI outlet; and installed doorbell. Comments: I decided to get the work done in two phases. Phase I began August 13 and included installing hurricane-impact windows and doors and was completed on schedule in 5 days. Phase II began October 7, was the major portion of the remodel, and was completed ahead of schedule in 6 weeks. I couldn't ask for a better contractor and am extremely pleased with the professionalism and quality of work. I pretty much had all my details worked out in advance, so all the ordering of cabinetry, countertop material, etc. went quite smoothly. There was hardly a day when some kind of work wasn't in progress. I would highly recommend Total Home Contractors for all your remodel needs. Note: I purchased the kitchen appliances, faucet, and ceiling fans myself and the contractor installed them as part of the project. One issue discovered less than a year later: when the new A/C was installed, I unfortunately assumed that the copper tubing and drain line would also be replaced since my old unit was 20+ years old. It wasn't, so less than a year later there was a major leak that buckled my laminate flooring in the kitchen area. Had I known the lines weren't to be replaced, I would have requested replacement at the time of installation no matter the added expense.”
