“We have done 2 remodels with Potter Construction. The last was very complicated involving many engineering challenges adding a second story to a house not designed to cary the load. While difficult and with us living in the house too Potter Construction made a successfully completed our house which we get many compliments on. Many have said it does not look like an addition but looks like it has always been that way. That was a major concern of ours and a design priority. Potters design staff and crew litterally worked out a plan in and around us to give us our dream house. they are up to difficult challenges. Highly recommended.”

“We selected Buchan to build our dream home after a long and extensive search. Our project had a lot of special challenges including access, shoreline restrictions and a schedule which had us out of town most weeks. So we were looking for a builder with a proven track record, someone who would be highly flexible while also bringing an innovative and fresh perspective to guide us. Despite having built before this project was more complex so complete trust was also essential. Buchan rose to the occasion and wholly came alongside us. Surely Buchan had many other projects going besides ours but we'd have never known it. It felt like they were building just for us. They were expert guides, leaning in where we needed it, backing off where we were firm. It was both a very professional engagement yet felt very personal. We are in our new home and absolutely love it. Only thing would have done differently is not spend so much time looking for a partner! “It’s been almost 4 years since we remodeled our kitchen and powder room and added a deck and we continue to love the result! Working with Charter made the remodel a fun and gratifying experience. We were – still are – delighted with their quality work, commitment to staying on time and within budget, and personable service. The project involved the complete demolition of our existing kitchen and powder room, bumping out two external walls and one internal wall, completely rebuilding the kitchen, and adding a deck. We also had them rebuild a set of exterior cement stairs that connect the house to the street. We found the Charter team to be highly professional, personable, and very easy to work with. They were on time, followed through on what they offered, developed a time line and cost estimate and stayed on schedule and on budget. They went above and beyond on a number of occasions – negotiating the best price and finding resources for us. Our project was incredibly well managed and appeared seamless. “I used Blue Sound Construction for a kitchen renovation that took the original kitchen down to the studs and also moved a wall and a window, creating a dining room where our library used to be. Blue Sound Construction suggested design elements and worked with us every step of the way to create a space that did what we wanted it to. They worked through some big challenges -- such as a significantly sloping floor and ceiling -- to implement the vision. The result is beautiful, an open, airy, clean-looking space that is a cook's dream. Not only is the kitchen beautiful and functional, the whole main floor of the house looks open, airy and much larger than when we began. The flow of the floor works well and the rooms lead one into the other. I feel like our house has been transformed. Blue Sound Construction did a wonderful job. The project took longer than we had expected (or been told to expect) but the end result was completely worth it. I would not hesitate to recommend Blue Sound Construction to anyone else.”
