New Space suggested we converted our loft and came up with an incredible design which allowed us to have a new bedroom and en-suite in the loft. “Review Rear Extension at 16, Lawn Road. When my wife, Vicki, and I moved to Exmouth about two and half years ago, we bought a three bedroom Victorian terraced house in Lawn Road near the town centre which we thought offered us good accommodation with potential for improvement. We took our ideas for a kitchen and dining area extension to Julie-Ann at in In-Ex Design to turn into a realistic design whilst working within a very tight budget. Our brief to her was to make a space as large as possible within a limited area that would have as much natural light as could be achieved, a large kitchen area together with an eating and sitting room. Julie-Ann and her team turned our ideas into reality with a great plan that incorporated all our ideas, they came up with solutions and solved problems that were encountered and with a clever design which eventually made it affordable to build. Julie-Ann also sourced us a great builder in Alan Hillman. After a couple meetings with Julie-Ann, ourselves and Alan, he and his team were able to build the extension to Julie-Ann’s plans resolving any small problems he came across as he went along. Alan and his team were very professional, fun and friendly, clean and tidy clearing up every evening without fail, they were extremely patient with us when we were making decisions on the finer details. We are now enjoying a fabulous living space with an amazing glass ceiling throughout, giving us loads of light and warmth from the sun warming up our sandstone tile floor even in the winter. With In-Ex Design’s plan we have loads of room for a large modern kitchen plus eating, sitting and family room creating what was high on the list, a fabulous entertaining space. The redundant dining room has been transformed into a utility/boot room with downstairs loo with space left for a walk in larder. We are more than delighted with our extension which has that wow factor, Julie-Ann’s ability to “see” our vision is testament to her ability to ask the right questions in order understand our ideas for the space.
