“The project to demolish the existing extension to our house and build a completely new one took four months, allowing for a short break over Christmas. This included provision of a new kitchen area, pantry and downstairs cloakroom, together with the fitting of new rear doors. Throughout that time, we’ve been greatly impressed by the consistently high standard of the work; and all those connected with the project—builders, electricians, plumbers and plasterers—have been unfailingly helpful and obliging, showing a marked ability to solve problems and envisage the next stage of the project, as well as keeping us completely up to date with the progress of the work. We would recommend them without reservation.”

“They undertook major internal alterations and refurbishment to our home. They were always polite and courteous and did what they said they'd do for the price we'd agreed. They were helpful with things which weren't strictly their responsibility (i.e., wrestled an enormous American fridge/freezer into place when the John Lewis delivery driver refused) and never made me feel guilty if I made a mistake or changed my mind. Technically tricky elements (like how to prop the rear wall on the 2nd floor while a window was enlarged) were done to the spec and without fuss, whereas other builders who quoted had emphasised all the problems. When things went wrong after they'd finished (i.e., the underfloor heating didn't initially work) they sorted it out without being chased. I have had problems in the past with builders who are unreliable and unpleasant to have around whereas JAS were always lovely and very capable. My only reservation was with the subcontracted electricians who didn't always live up to the high standard set by JAS.”
