“We have just received planning permission for our internal reconfiguration which Simon has designed for us. He visited us on several occasions and helped us to see the potential in our property exploring all the options available. Together we talked through how we want to use the house and we have used every pocket of space to reach that potential. Simon has been friendly and accommodating throughout and he has kept in touch regularly. He talked us through the planning process and kept us updated whilst successfully securing planning permission. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Simon, he is a highly skilled architect and we thoroughly enjoyed working with him. Many thanks Simon!”

“Emily is really efficient and very professional in her approach. She has done the drawings and plans for our extension and internal works and got the necessary building regs sign off. We have been really impressed to date, her drawings are faultless and clear, always willing to talk things through and explain what is and isn’t possible. She knows the local construction companies well and offers good advice on who to approach for the work. Next step will be the works and we are confident her continued involvement will make things easier for us and the builders.”

“We have used Trotman Taylor; aka Clayton Taylor, on 2 occasions: The first time was for plans to build a 3 bay cart lodge - the plans produced were creative,comprehensive and instrumental in getting planning approval from Dartmoor National Park. Clayton guided us through the whole process. The second time was to integrate a separated upper floor from the main house and link it into the other floors. Again Clayton provided plans that were imaginative, innovative and maximised the use of the space. He also assisted with the application for Building Control to a successful conclusion. In both cases Clayton was thorough with several site visits, he communicated well at all stages of the planning with patience and full explanations of the different options for the build. His business plan was clearly set out. Clayton was able to recommend local builders and tradesmen all of whom said that ‘if you can't build off Claytons plans , you cant build off anything as they are so comprehensive and leave nothing to chance!’ We consider Cayton’s services to be excellent value for money and wouldn't hesitate to use this business again and we would recommend him to anyone.”
