We’ve used David & his team on 2 jobs (so far) and couldn’t be happier. The first job we had an idea of what we wanted but wasn’t sure if it was possible, Dave came in gave us the options and then delivered exactly what we wanted. When we decided to completely renovate the house and add a small extension on we didn’t hesitate to contact Dave. Every step of the way David, Ian & Aaron explained any issues usually before they actually became an issue! They set up a temporary kitchen for us which was hugely appreciated. Even when we had supplier issues with the kitchen company Dave worked around it as much as possible so as to still complete on time and came back straight away to fit the replacement doors for a kitchen cupboard when they finally arrived 2 months after everything else was finished. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and when we do our next project will not hesitate to use Dave & his team again.

I was impressed by David's attention to detail from the very start - his quote for our single story extension was the most detailed one we had. When the work started, any disruption to our home was kept to a minimum and the site was left tidy at the end of each day. The work meant we would need the washing machine moved and David temporarily plumbed this into another room for us. David was easy to communicate with and transparent in all the decision making. We were really pleased with the flat skylight installed in the extension and Dave's communication and advice was appreciated in the decision-making on which one to choose. David's workmen were very good and the small issue we had with a leaky water pipe was fixed quickly and without problem. Overall I was glad to have chosen David Bonnick General Building Services and would have no hesitation in recommending them to a friend looking for an extension.

I have used David Bonnick General Building services over a period of 20 years and in two different homes in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. Now I no longer ask for other quotes as I completely trust David and his employees in terms of workmanship, organisation, high standards, honesty and value. What is particularly good about David and his services is that they think ahead and anticipate potential problems so that they can be resolved before they happen. David's quotes are thorough and well thought out so there are no surprises. They are honest about starting times and time for completion. David recently completed a full refurbishment of our house. We are very happy with the end result. After first contacting David, he visited us, listened, proposed ideas and then produced a detailed quote with accompanying breakdowns. We waited several months for David and his team to become available - which I have no problem with - happy to wait to work with the right builder. During the work, David was both hands-on, in the detail and also highly effectively managing the project to keep everything moving. His employees and network of trades people were all professional and very easy to work with. David managed to line them all up to come in at the right time. The work, over several months, included removing/replacing many internal walls to reconfigure rooms, full rewiring, full replumbing, installation of underfloor heating throughout, LVT flooring throughout, new kitchen and bathrooms and full redecoration. At every stage David and his team were helpful, conscientious, hard-working and efficient. David has a great attention to the little details that raise the quality of the end-result. It's the nature of such a big piece of work that some decisions need to be made along the way and some variations arise. David clearly explained ideas/options throughout and all decisions taken produced a better end result. The financial side was very well managed - based on a detailed payment schedule with clear milestones. We are very thankful that we were able to work with David. Highly recommended.

Dave is our 'go to' builder for any work we need on our house and has been for 14 years. He is totally reliable and great at finding innovative solutions to unexpected problems. On this occasion, he completely stripped out and then refitted our kitchen and took 100% responsibility for all of the providers needed to complete the job. I can't recommend him highly enough.

My wife and I employed David Bonnick to build a unique extension to the side of our property, as well as some landscaping to a typical Wycombe sloping garden. This included extensive excavation work, a reinforced wall, and a roof tailored to fit the extension. Dave and his staff promptly arrived each day and they kept us informed of their scheduled daily work and/or plans, and were happy to discuss options as building work progressed, which was completed to a high-quality standard. Dave built us a two-storey extension in 2021. From the beginning getting a quote, through helping us choosing suppliers, building the foundations, exteriors, landscaping and fitting all the interiors ( including kitchen & two bathrooms) and finishing touches, Dave has been consistently helpful, polite and professional. All Dave's employees including builders Ian & Aaron and all tradesmen were also polite, professional, tidy and good at their jobs. Communication across the project was excellent. Being 2021, what with covid /Brexit etc we did have some supplier issues and Dave helped us navigate those by working around it wherever possible. Dave even stepped in and finished some tiling for us when another tiler wasn't available in order to get our kitchen finished for Christmas. This is the sort of guy Dave is. He cares about your project, appreciates the impact building work has on your life and would never leave you in the lurch. Dave always left us with a working kitchen and bathroom facilities in the evening and we only had to move out for one week (due to a new hot water tank being fitted) across the whole project due to this. When we didn't know what decision to make e.g. with our patio Dave was always on hand to offer his advice based on his extensive experience. Dave also worked with our structural engineer to find a workable solution when our plans were not showing clearly how to construct our roof. We are sure Dave enabled us to make a better decision than the one we originally had in mind on a number of occasions. Dave was not the cheapest quote we had but nor was he the most expensive. He is very busy, because he is good. He is worth waiting for.

We engaged David and his team to build us a gable ended conservatory, to terrace a sloping lawn, build a new side front wall and to lay tiles throughout our ground floor. The whole project was carried out with total professionalism and to a very high standard. Each stage of the project was carefully costed and explained to us, so as to minimise any unforeseen surprises. As mentioned by others, we knew when they would arrive and when they would leave, ensuring that the house was left in a tidy state every day. David was also an excellent project manager ironing out any problems in the build as they arose with a can do and helpful attitude. David and his team are a total credit to their profession and as many have already said, I have no hesitation in recommending this Company.

Very competent builder and very good at regular communication. Easy to get hold of.

Very professional, honest, conscientious and hard working. Works in accordance with Federation Master of Builders recommendations from quotation through to completion. Provides a clearly phased work and payment schedule and sticks to it. Good at solving the inevitable unforeseen problems and adjusts the work schedule accordingly. He coordinates and liaises with suppliers, merchants and trades people to make the project flow to completion. He has an excellent team of trades people and the project is completed to a good standard. Would recommend.

We searched for a builder to renovate our kitchen. Very pleased that we found David. Really happy with the finished product. David was informative and helpful throughout the project giving solutions and advice when needed. We already have David and his team booked for our bathroom renovation. Will utilise him for all future projects.

David built our new front porch to an architect's design. Throughout the project he and his team were completely professional, proactive and very well organised. They were prepared to make adjustments where needed and quickly suggested solutions to the few problems that arose. Overall they did an excellent job and we would unhesitatingly recommend them.
