We had approached a number of builders for our loft conversion, but hadn't got anywhere. A friend then told us about MoreSpace. Her project was very different from ours, but she'd been very happy with them, so we got in touch and they quickly organised a visit to look at options and give estimates. Straight away they were helpful and positive, with a 'can do' approach. This continued even when our original plans were rejected by the council. They redesigned the project for us quickly and were still able to commence ahead of schedule. Once building work started, it was carried out very effectively. The builders were thoughtful and considerate throughout, and spoke to us regularly to check in on little details. All the major work, involving the roof, was carried out over one working week, which was very helpful for us. The project was well managed and we always knew exactly what was being done, and what costs were going to be. Work was finished to a very high standard by their excellent team. As a result of the project we now have a lovely extra room. It make great use of the space and has character, easily accessible storage space, and great natural light. (I will add some photos when I finish decorating!) I would highly recommend MoreSpace, a very professional building company with excellent customer service.

At the recommendation of two of my neighbours I chose MoreSpace to oversee the redevelopment of a ground floor flat in Putney (side return and 3 metre extension). Good move! They were highly efficient and provided all the personnel needed - architects, designers, engineers and - most important - a building company run by a young Albanian called Gjoke. All his men worked non-stop, sometimes well past 5.30 pm, and at the beginning I thought everything might be completed before the 10 weeks predicted; this was not the case. Work started at the end of August and the final document handover was in March. The delays were caused by coordinating the various supplies and trades involved, the Christmas break, and a measurement mistake made by the kitchen company. Stuart Ellerby (project manager) came by each week to check on how things were going and was most helpful with his advice and answers. Gjoke would turn up unexpectedly, keen to know if we were happy with the work and to collect payments which were staged throughout the project. Stuart set up a WhatsApp group so communication was easy. The work was done to a high standard and we are delighted with the finished product. Do not expect to be able to absent yourself while the work is being carried out - MoreSpace does all the paperwork but a works manager is not onsite all day and one needs to be on hand to make many decisions, buy in materials needed by the plumber, electrician, carpenter etc., and keep an eagle eye out to ensure that everything is how you want it. Note that the initial estimate given is exclusive of many extra items which are decided on and paid for during the project. I would highly recommend MoreSpace to anyone who is about to undertake an extension to their property.

We were very happy with MoreSpace and the extensions they built for us! The planning went well, there were only few surprises during the build, which were handled quickly and professionally with great can-do attitude! Edi as main builder and Andy as PM worked super well. Edi is very easy to get on and work with. He and his team work very hard, and he is still always optimistic and goes the extra mile! Andy kept a close watch on everything and pushed things along when needed. Both were always available, with clear communication, and the result is fantastic!!!

MoreSpace totally remodelled my house in W6 some 4 years ago, adding a back extension, a second floor study and a loft room, as well as refurbishing the rest of the house. Their work was excellent, and I was and still am delighted with the house. I happened to bump into Stuart, and mentioned I was troubled by a small leak in a part of the roof outside of their contract. He immediately organised a repair, and not only that, he repaired a couple of holes in the roof of my elderly neighbour without being asked to do so, and at his cost. We had a loft conversion. It was completed within 9 weeks. The workmen were very approachable, hard working and knowledgeable. Adjustments I asked for were done expertly. I am very happy with the finished product.

MoreSpace were good, but not great. Pros: - Project was finished on time and schedule - The builders were mainly friendly and nice to have around - Andy, our PM, was easy to chat to and sent messages when we needed to make things happen Cons: - We went with design and build to take the stress off, but realistically our PM only visited once a week for half an hour, so we ended up basically project managing the third party building contractor ourselves - The architect's plans were pretty basic and meant we ran into problems later on as the builders constantly argued that the work we wanted wasn't in the plan and thus wanted extra money - The job was initially misquoted which meant we had to pay more for the roof and there were other hidden costs we weren't aware would crop up (roof insulation, etc). This is part and parcel of the process but also these were sprung on us with little warning - The builders could be difficult to communicate with and we had a few unpleasant altercations - The main thing is that we didn't feel the finish was particularly high quality. There are various bits of plastering / skirting / cement / carpentry etc that are quite rough and don't have a very premium finish - Their recommended glass supplier (1st Folding) were pretty useless

Great company who did a good job on a demolition and kitchen extension. Kept to budget and quote factored in possible extras. Very very reliable builders etc! Nice finish on the job and kept to schedule. Happy to reccommend.

MoreSpace did a great job on our kitchen extension and were a pleasure to have around. Our project manager was Andy and our lead builder was Edi.

Definitely would recommend MoreSpace if you are planning to do an extension. The team we had on our project was great (Andy as project manager and Sadri as lead builder). We are so thrilled with the final result and have had other tradespeople such as our kitchen fitter comment about how straight the walls are and high quality finish of work. They set up a Temporary kitchen for us and plumbed in our sink and dishwasher which made living on site so much easier. They kept the place tidy and secure and were mindful of our young children and safety. The team were also pretty speedy and worked at the weekend and even on snow days! They offer a 10 year guarantee which is really helpful and offers peace of mind.

I used MoreSpace for my wrap around extension in 2022, Stuart Ellerby and Ruben were professional from start to finish and were there to assist with any questions, recommendations and challenges i had. They made the whole process stress free and it was very obvious they had years of experience they were drawing on. Each stage of the process was well explained and I was given plenty of notice for decision making. Any reservations, apprehensions or worries that i had before embarking on the project were unfounded and I would highly recommend them. These guys know what they are doing!

We were very happy indeed with MoreSpace. They did a quality attic conversion job for us speedily, safely and in all respects with expert workmanship. In particular Stuart Ellerby, Gaby Sighiartau and Gaby’s assistant Stefan were all excellent, and nothing was too much for them. The specialist workers such as the plumbers, electricians, decorators and renderers were all very good and contributed to a great overall job. We highly recommend them.

We had a great experience with Agim and his crew (Egson, Chin and Liu) on our loft conversion. They took their time and paid real attention to detail on the build. The communication throughout was fantastic, Agim took pains to ensure we had clear discussion and achieved clear outcomes on any potential pain/ decision points - which had the result of us feeling fully informed and aware of what was going on at all times. On a personal level (with a toddler, and a baby on the way) the team were fantastic, making the process exciting for our son (and involving him in it in small ways that he still remembers to this day!) and helping to keep stress to a minimum! I would give a strong personal recommendation to Agim and his crew.

We have been delighted with MoreSpace running out side return extension project (led by Stuart). Using them has made the whole process easy for us, with everything dealt with smoothly from initial planning through to completion. We really liked how the payment scheduled worked (based on clear milestones being achieved), which helped to keep the builders on track and ensured the project was completely pretty quickly. The building sub-contractors (led by Mihai and Pedro) were excellent throughout; they were flexible and happy to include additional work beyond the existing scope without impacting the timetable, they have an excellent team of tradesmen to call on, and have been great (very responsive) in dealing with an post-construction/fit out snagging, often responding to things at very short notice. Last year we recently finished a ground floor extension / full house refurb with Morespace and would highly recommend them. Having to work through a pandemic was not the easiest thing to do but Stuart Braid (Project Manager) was always on hand to both calmly deal with issues but also reassure us that we would get to the end (which we have done). The build team, led by Alfred and Pawel, were always very attentive and open to helping out and providing their expert opinions and advice throughout the build. They were also considerate and helped work with us to try and make sure that our neighbours weren't impacted too badly when the project was going through the more noisy parts (knocking walls through). All in all we feel as though Morespace have done a great job, had a lot of very useful contacts when it came to kitchen, bathroom and suppliers and dealt with all of our concerns along the way in a professional and helpful manner. If you are looking for a design and build company then you will be in safe hands with these guys (they originally came as a recommendation from friends who had also used them for a loft conversion).

We've used MoreSpace twice - loft & extension, same house - and we will use them again! Efficient, practical contractors that deliver on time. We used More Space for a Dormer Loft Extension and 1st Floor Bathroom installation and are really pleased that we did. We’ve used Morespace twice now and we are very glad we did. They first built a ground floor extension which was done efficiently and to a high standard from start to finish. Louis and his team were on the button at all stages and the result was more than we hoped for. Gabi and his crack team then built a loft for us (in what felt like a few weeks) and again they were helpful, informative and accommodating. Clean and tidy inside our home and on the street outside during both builds which pleased us and all the neighbours. I had an extension completed by Morespace October - December 2019. They were the most competitive of four quotes and came highly recommended by a neighbour. I’m so glad I did.! They were on time and in budget and the process went smoothly. I have never done any major work on my flat in the 20 years I have owned it but decided it was time to explore the possibility of a loft conversion. On the recommendation of my neighbour who had used Morespace for his extension I contacted them and from the minute I met Stuart Ellerby who oversaw my project I was beyond impressed. Inevitably never having had such work done before, I was apprehensive about the scale of the work and the disruption, but every single step of the way filled me with confidence. The designs were well thought through and transformational and provided me with a huge bedroom, dressing room and sizeable bathroom. We decided to choose MoreSpace to build our loft extension and were so glad we did. We were firstly consulted by Stuart Ellerby who gave us a thorough overview of what was involved in a loft extension and who is responsible for what during the project. His knowledge was first class and he spoke in layman’s terms and not jargon which we found very engaging and brought it to life. Once we agreed on the project, Stuart also kept in touch throughout with regular site visits and was also super responsive when we raised any questions. His aftercare has also been great. The team who built our loft was insane. The team was led by Jake and everyone in his team were super friendly and accommodating, whether it was popping up for a sneak peek on progress, asking any questions or looking to make slight adjustments. The finish of the job is perfect and exactly what we’d hoped for. They left the place clean and was complete within a much shorter time period than I expected. For such a large project, this felt like the easiest one I’ve had to undertake so far thanks to Stuart, Jake and his team.
