Pink and Black Ltd

Pink & Black built a single storey kitchen extension for us in 2017. We are extremely happy with the results and are very happy to recommed them. We have a young family and had to live in the house during the build, but the team were extremely understanding of this, and unobtrusive throughout. Pink & Black installed a kitchen in our Grade 2 listed building, including making two of the pieces in their workshop from scratch. They also renovated our windows. We were very pleased with the standard of workmanship, and by the friendly professionalism of everyone who carried out the work.

We had Tony and John and their team make and install some new draft-proofed sash windows, and Shaker style doors throughout our property. The standard of their work was second to none, with excellent service and workmanship, and efficient and courteous workers. We had all of the woodwork spray painted in a Farrow and Ball colour, which resulted in a beautiful clean finish. We were very impressed, and would highly recommend the Pink and Black team. We will certainly be using them in future projects.

Our project involved converting a three bedroom two bathroom house with 2 receptions into a 6 bed house with 5 bathrooms and 3 reception rooms. This included an extension to the utility, roofing a conservatory, installation of ufh throughout the ground floor, new wooden flooring and internal doors throughout, installation of cabrio balcony windows and a sun tunnel, manufacture and installation of new oak staircase, creation of a new dormer window, manufacture and installation of new patio doors, new wiring and fuse boards, new lighting and switches throughout, new kitchen installation, all plumbing work and new hot water and heating system, full internal and external redecoration and a new external footpath. This was a large and awkward project which involved working with an architect, a structural engineer and significant co-ordination with all the trades. The house is in a conservation area and the project required interaction with Building Control. The work has been carried out to a very high standard with the team taking a great deal of pride in their work. We are absolutely thrilled with the work and had a great relationship with the whole team. When issues did arise, as building work rarely goes according to plan, Tony and John always worked with us to find the best solution. As a result we had complete confidence in them and their advice. In addition, we had numerous additional work requests which were always greeted with a can-do attitude. Since the work was finished, Tony and John have also been brilliant in following up on any teething problems. In short, we totally recommend Pink and Black for their professionalism, quality of work and exceeding expectations and we will use them on future building work.

A double storey extension comprised of a large double ensuite bedroom with two pairs of French doors, each opening onto a cantilevered balcony; tiled utility area with toilet and an ensuite shower added to an existing bedroom. Roof was tiled with Kent pegs to match existing. Extension was painted, inside and out. The exterior walls and windows of the main house were also painted to match and any repairs were carried out. Pink and Black provided a bespoke service and sourced many of the unique features that complemented the new space. In addition, Pink and Black were also very patient with last minute change of plans. I decided not to move out of the house whilst the work was carried out. The friendliness and respectfulness of all the guys involved in the building processs helped to make the situation of builders in the house less invasive, in fact I missed them when they finally left.
