We worked with Progressive Design to build our end of terrace four bedroom family house from September 2021 to September 2022. From initial meetings and then briefing them about the design and budgets they were very helpful and professional. This is the first house that we have built and they made sure that we understood the process. The quote whilst looking very lengthy and scary actually had everything included in the price which we wanted. During the whole process we only had cost increases coming out the ground, which were minimal, and ones we choose to add. They worked hard to fix material prices to keep to their cost. At all stages they discussed what was happening and why. They have an establish team of professional and experienced employees which is reflected in the outcome. We did not have any issues with Building Control or our Warranty Provider who sign off every stage with out corrections. We had very minor snagging which was resolved easily and on time. The site was immaculate at the end of each day and our neighbours were very pleased with how they kept the path and road outside the site clean and tidy throughout the build The quality of house that we now very much enjoy living in has not deteriorated in nearly two years. Whilst some would say we were lucky we say we spent a lot of time and effort selecting the people we worked with and Progressive Design were selected for their excellent work and attention to detail as we saw in all interactions and during reference visits. We would not hesitate to recommend them or work with them again.

I would highly receommend working with Marius, Ovidiu and all of the team at Progressive Design and I am exceptionally happy with the outcome of the project. The scope of the job was a complete internal refurb including a ground floor extension, double storey rear extension, completely new roof with rooms on the second floor along with all external landscaping. From my initial site meeting with Marius, I knew he had the team capable of delivering the vision I had for the project. The intial quote was incredibly detailed and through the project we stayed largely on budget, despite a few additional unforseen items which were agreed and added along the way. Regarding timings, we were due to start at the end of April in the hope that we would be in before the end of the year, however we ended up moving in at the start of the new year. This was to allow the project to be fully completed. The most important aspect of this review is to express how exceptional the team are on so many levels. The skill, care, expertise, knowledge, efficiency, attention to detail and willingness to be adaptable, helpful and solution focused made the project such an overall success. It truly felt like a team effort with everyone working toether towards a shared goal. Progressive Deisgn not only build homes for their clients, but also forge relationships with them. The have found the perfect balance of being able to deliver large scale projects with a very personal service. I would definitely recommend them and hope that we can work toegther in the future.

Progressive Design is a fantastic building company run by brothers, Marius and Ovidiu, who are extremely professional, creative and have an impressive work ethic. I really felt that they cared about my home and getting it exactly how I wanted. Here’s a breakdown of my extremely positive experience at each stage of the project: - Initial consultation: The project was a 2-storey extension with complete alteration of the internal layout, complicated by multiple levels on the ground floor. I approached 9 highly recommended builders and received 5 quotes. Progressive Design's quote was similar in price to the others but stood out in the level of detail and the costs breakdown. Marius was the only one to return for a second visit to discuss the quote and gave time for questions and addressed concerns. He suggested pragmatic solutions for multiple issues. The quote was slightly above my budget and he took time to go through the plan and suggest options to alter or deduct certain aspect to reduce the price. -The Build process: The project started in April 2022 during rapid inflationary times. Marius ensured this did not impact on our pre-agreed quote as he had pre-ordered all the required materials in advance. The build progressed very quickly. The on-site team worked tirelessly every day yet were always friendly and helpful. I had regular contact with Marius and Ovidiu via a Whats’app group and 2-weekly onsite meetings. There were some delays due to minor inaccuracies on the structural plans. Ovidiu recognised an area where additional support would be required which the structural engineer had overlooked! This is a testament to Ovidiu’s years of experience and his eye for detail. Ovidiu and the team always worked flexibly around issues to minimise delays. - The interiors: The interior team worked meticulously with an impressive attention to detail and the finishing is next to none. The tiling is incredibly levelled, the skirting and paintwork are very smooth and lines are straight and even. This remains the case over a year since completion. Ovidiu with his carpentry background made very helpful suggestions to further elevate the aesthetic of the interiors. - Completion and aftercare: The project was generally delivered within the agreed quote. There were a couple of unavoidable additions due to inaccuracies in the structural plans but Marius provided options at a range of prices and was open to negotiations. The level of service I received was consistent throughout the project and I was always treated with patience and respect despite some delays on my part. The high level of service continues with the aftercare and Progressive Design remain very responsive. There were a couple of minor issues in the last year and they were extremely prompt to fix them. Progressive Design built for me the home I imagined in a seamless and stress-free process. I do not hesitate in highly recommending them.

Highly Recommend Progressive Design Background: We moved to Amersham in 2021 having bought a 1920s house that was habitable but required modernising in terms of asbestos removal, rewiring and insulating. In addition to that work, we wanted to extend the ground and first floors to make it a more open plan living space. Following a tender process, we chose Progressive Design in and they were excellent from start (Apr 2022) to finish (Jan 2023). In what was potentially a very stressful project in inflationary times with a young family (newborn and 3 year old), every challenge was dealt with efficiently, creatively and economically. Dedicated Inhouse Team: this was a particular strength of the company and one that we think is quite rare having done three house renovations previously. The electrician, the plasterer, the carpenter, the foreman, sound and security, the plumber etc were all coordinated by Progressive Design. That provided focused responsibility, allowing for efficient decision making and communication. Creativity: there was never a reaction of “not possible” and that was a reflection of the building knowledge within Progressive Design. There were many good solutions that we had not considered and they provided corrections for wrong decisions that we had made. For example, installing water softeners, creating different underfloor heating zones to economise working from home, re-working window apertures, maximising storage in eaves and understairs and sound proofing. Budget and Cost Transparency: one of the reasons that we selected Progressive Design in the tender process was the detail in their quote. We were very concerned about inflation and they understood our budget constraints by pricing additional work quickly and communicated different options for us to consider. A particular cost-avoidance for us was their ability to cost up all non-perishable materials so that we had the option to purchase them as soon as possible. Work Ethic: we rented a flat locally and we observed how dedicated the team were to completing our project on time. Our neighbours were very positive about the team, commenting on their hard work and how considerate they were on site. Project Management and Communication: we had Marius as our project manager and George as our foreman. They were our main point of contacts throughout the whole project both onsite and also made themselves available via a WhatsApp group and direct mobile calls. There was also office support through Toria which was helpful for design questions and administration. We had weekly meetings which they documented and updated valuations and the project timeline. Quality of Workmanship: we wanted the renovation of the house to be sympathetic to the 1920s design and the Progressive team managed to re-use and refurbish the old doors, fashion the architraves and build cabinetry to achieve this. The positive reactions from family and friends is testament to their craftsmanship.

I cannot recommend Marius, Ovidiu and everyone at Progressive Design enough. When gathering quotes for our house renovation (open plan kitchen with rear extension, downstairs w/c and utility room), we struggled to find builders who people would recommend and heard plenty about how stressful house renovation could be...but we didn't experience any stress with Progressive and couldn't be happier to recommend them to anyone planning to update their house. Marius demonstrated his professionalism from our very first meeting, and throughout the four month project he and his team consistently impressed. Progressive Design care about ensuring their clients have the best experience possible, and actively work to minimise the typical problems encountered during renovations. The team work hard, are true professionals and consistently tidy. Marius is calm, considerate, conscientious, consultative and reliable, and every one within Progressive displays the same qualities. I met weekly with him as well as Ovidiu to discuss progress, and they were both always on hand to advise, guide as well as expertly manage expectations throughout. As a result, our project was completed within the estimated timeframe to a seriously high quality, with everything from the major considerations to the most minor request accommodated without question. In addition, Ovidiu and the team have remained in contact to deal with every minor tweak we've subsequently needed. We're over the moon with the results and love spending time in our renovated home. I'm happy to recommend Progressive Design and am so pleased we partnered with them on our project.

From the moment we started our building project to the end of it, everyone at Progressive Design has been a pleasure to deal with and extremely supportive. Most of our project was carried out during the difficult environment of COVID but Progressive were incredibly well organised and exceptionally professional throughout the challenging times. Progressive always made us feel at ease and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Progressive were also able to suggest design enhancements which we would never have thought of but have made such a positive difference to the final design of our house. The quality of Progressive’s work is excellent and we are delighted that we chose to work with them. We would thoroughly recommend Progressive Design and would not hesitate to use them again for a building renovation.

Marius, Ovidiu and the whole Progressive Design team were fantastic before, during and after our work had been completed. We had a large project which lasted 10 months, encompassing a full renovation as well as a double storey rear extension, a loft conversion and full external works including landscaping. The team on site worked hard and conducted themselves well. The project was delivered in line with the initial detailed quotation and any unforeseen issues were dealt with in consultation with us. We would absolutely recommend Progressive Design. This was our first ever project and we felt guided and supported throughout by Marius, Ovidiu and the team. Our site lead Daniel also did a fantastic job on all aspects of the work. The project itself was efficiently completed, meeting our expectations in terms of timing. Most importantly, we felt that the team were available to discuss issues and around to resolve them at a moment's notice (and they continue to be today). Our first project ever and a huge one at that, we were careful to choose who we would work with. We had a lot of quotes but what stood out for us was Marius’ patience and his eye for detail along with his ability to come up with creative methods of problem solving. Albeit being a premium quote for us, we agreed to Progressive Design based on how listened to and involved they were in our project even at the initial consultation. When the project started in Feb 2020, little did we know the world would come to a standstill and everything would change forever. How they managed to keep the site open and continued with the work during lockdown, tells a lot about their organisation skills. Ovidiu, his attention to detail and brilliant suggestions on site saved us a lot of wrong decisions. My change of minds, indecisiveness was always dealt with patience and a smile. Respect is very high on each member of the Progressive Design team.Each one of them go the extra mile to please the client. I always appreciate the little things people do and each one of their team members did it with a smile. Any extras we wanted were recorded separately. Options were given for us to choose. Despite lockdowns and Covid challenges we managed to finish the project to a high standard and with not too much delay. Throughout the project from the beginning to the end we have received consistent level customer service, always available on phone, email and whats app. The project took as much of our energy as it did theirs, but we couldn’t be happier with the result and would choose Progressive all over again!

Marius and team were amazing. We completely refurbished our new flat, which required extensive works and had a few challenges. Marius was always proactive and responsive. The team has great attention to quality and details, something that, in our experience, is very hard to find. Marius and the team were always available and they provided continuous support thorough the project. I can say that they are highly experienced, of excellent craftmanship and easy to work with. It goes without saying that we highly recommend them!

The Progressive Team are indeed progressive in design, work ethic and service delivery. Despite the challenges and delays of the lock down, the Team delivered exceptional work. The project was a massive refurbishment from roof work, redesign and decorating. The quality of work and attention to detail is best in class. No regrets and will highly recommend them.

Marius and his team were outstanding in all aspects of our 9 month total renovation and extension project. We appointed PD because of the excellent feedback from their other clients in the village. The general theme was high quality work, excellent communication, a great after-care package and above all on time and on budget. We have found all of these to be absolute true. The finish of the work, the meticulous high standards and the great relationship they built with my family enabled a smooth, stress free experience for us. Our project spanned the Covid-19 national lockdown. The team handled it very well, planning and anticipating for it - stocking up on materials, encouraging us to put in our orders on items like tiles, bathrooms etc early to avoid any delays. Whilst no doubt there were some behind the scenes stresses during this time for Marius and the team, this was all managed so calmly and effectively we were not exposed to any of these concerns. We really have been pleased with the work and how they have gone the extra mile on several occasions for us - replacing a broken window in a rental property for us, repainting areas where someone had made a mess of putting up our curtains. All done as goodwill gestures. I would absolutely recommend PD and have done to many. We found George our on-site manager to be a great communicator, calm and very efficient as well. The feedback from our neighbours was all incredibly positive too.

The project was to build a 580 sq ft room above my garage with a staircase leading into the existing entrance hall which was to be extended to accommodate it. The room was to be a playroom for me and our grandchildren when they visit! I already knew Marius, the owner of Progressive Design, as I had met him a few years earlier when he had completed a fantastic two storey extension to my son’s house and after that he had installed a lovely new bathroom in the flat of one of my other sons. Marius was therefore an obvious choice to ask to quote for my work. I obtained a couple of other quotes as well from established, well regarded local builders. Marius was meticulous in preparing the quotation, every detail being discussed with me so he fully understood what was required e.g. matching the brickwork to the existing bricks and re-using the existing roof tiles so that the new room blended in well and didn’t look like an extension at all. His was not the cheapest quotation, nor was it the dearest but I knew that once it was accepted there would be no hidden extras, as there are with so many builders. This proved to be exactly the case with the only extras being for changes I made during the course of the project and even then Marius only charged for these if they actually involved him in additional expense. His attention to the detail of the project from start to finish was such that I was relaxed throughout rather than being continually tense! Having agreed the deal with Marius he gave me a starting date and stuck to it. The team of workmen that Marius allocated to my job were excellent. They would work a long hard day and still be so friendly and obliging at the end of it, cleaning up as much as possible before leaving for the evening. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. They would arrive promptly every day, with a few short exceptions which we were informed about. Unlike many builders they did not juggle several jobs at the same time or disappear for days on end without notice. Marius or his brother Ovidiu would turn up several times a week to monitor progress and discuss with me any issues that may have arisen or any changes I wanted to make as the job progressed. One aspect of extending the entrance hall was to bring forward the existing timber and glass outer wall. The other builders I spoke to wanted to replace it but Marius’s men were skilful enough to completely move the existing wall forwards thus totally preserving the appearance of the front of the house. Having done this the whole extended floor of the hall was to be retiled and Marius recommended a tile supplier where my wife and I went and chose the most amazing tiles. We liked them so much that we bought enough to also retile the floor and walls of the downstairs cloakroom which leads off the hall. In fact with Marius’s help we refurbished the whole cloakroom with all new units. This was the only major addition to the project but we agreed the cost in advance with Marius and we were delighted with the finished result which complemented the other works so well. The project drew to an end just before Christmas and we ordered a large L-shaped sofa for the new room. We had measured it in the shop to ensure it would go up the new staircase but failed to adequately take into account the sharp turn at the top of the stairs into the new room! Within hours a couple of Marius’s men, who were still on site, had partially dismantled the sofa, got it up the stairs and put it together again so professionally that no-one would ever know. All as a goodwill gesture at no extra charge – that’s service. This is a good example of the work ethic of Marius and his whole team. The job was finished in time for Christmas and the children loved it! In summary, an amazing job completed very professionally and with great skill by a friendly and efficient team. I have no reservations in highly recommending Progressive Design; they really did exceed my expectations.

I've worked alongside Marius and his team at Progressive Design for a number of years now. I can say without doubt one of the best companies I've worked alongside. Always clear and concise on lead times, and clear to what they want and how they want it. I look forward to helping out on projects in the future!

I hired progressive design to renovate my entire house and also for a separate project finishing off a garden office. They carried out extensive works on our house including: loft conversion, ground floor extension, new heating and hot water system (including underfloor heating), new electrics, plastering, installation of a new kitchen, new bathrooms, new doors, new floors etc. I had never undertaken any project of this scale before and I found Progressive Design go the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly. They delivered the project both on time and on budget, they have an open and honest approach when it comes building projects and at times when things weren't going smoothly (building control issues) they just got on with it and sorted out the issue without any fuss. We had regular meetings with the team and so were completely in charge of any decisions that had to be made with regards to the project. The garden office was a much smaller job, given my previous experiences with Progressive Design I was keen to get them back in to finish the build. They came in and plastered the office, fitted underfloor heating, tiled the floor, rendered the outside (to match the house) and fitted the electrics. Again I could not fault Progressive Design on their work, they just come in and get the job done, they turn up every day and even Saturdays and will be there all day. Safe to say I couldn't recommend Progressive Design enough.

Having completed an office extension Progressive Design then moved the team to our house renovation, part demolition, extension and complete remodel, doubling the floorplan in the process. We set a fairly high expectation for the finished product and the end result is a few steps beyond what we had hoped for. The main reason we bought into Marius from the outset was because of his attitude, nothing is too difficult which is in contrast to some other contractors that we had spoken to. Because we wanted to implement our own personality to the project and package out certain elements we wanted somebody that would enable this and Marius was keen to embrace it, going an extra step by liaising directly with each contractor that we had on the project to help with a smooth process. The team were fantastic, they have a brilliant attitude, always eager to help and to go the extra mile. George was the site manager on the house having moved over from the office project so the relationship was forged even further, he was excellent, always had the answers to queries very quickly, always aware of what was happening on site and always putting enormous pressure on himself to get the job done properly. As with the office, the list of items for snagging was surprisingly small as the teams worked on a lot of this before the end of the project and all seem to have a brilliant eye for detail. Any minor snags that we have found have been dealt with almost immediately. After spending 10 years building this team it seems that they all work cohesively and have all inherited Marius’ pride in his job and motivation for customer satisfaction. Overall we couldn’t have asked for anything more from these guys and we are absolutely delighted with our new house!

6 stars! Progressive Design completed an office extension and refurbishment for our offices in Rickmansworth. The team were amazing from start to finish. This was a live site as business still had to operate and 18 staff were going about their daily life, however at no point was work disrupted. The guys were respectful, diligent, helpful, and generally great to work with. Marius was excellent throughout and had the perfect balance of providing advice whilst listening to ideas and ambition for the project. The team as a whole couldn't have done any more and were always more than keen to get the job done in the right way with the right end result. We are delighted with the project as a whole and the employees here have been pleasantly surprised with the quality of the workmanship and spec of the building. Snagging was at a minimum as most of this was dealt with on the job, before completion. Overall I couldn't fault Progressive Design and only have positive things to say, they made it seem easy and we are delighted with our new offices.

Marius and his brother Ovidiu are the nicest, polite and professional builders one could choose to work with. They had great advice before the project started and we’re flexible and reactive during the project. Their team was also very professional and disciplined. It was really easy to discuss issues with them and find a win win solution to fix any problems. Their level of service and quality is outstanding and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do any size project.

When we decided to ask a designer to look at re-making our garden she came up with a fabulous multi-level patio idea. It proved to be quite a complex build, and our landscaper decided it was too much for him. Enter Marius and Progerssive Design. Marius was recommeded to us by friends who had a major house rebuild and extension done by Progressive. They did a fabulous job for them, so we didn't hestitate to have them build our patio. Marius inspired confidence from the start with his very carefully thought out quote, and he proved to be very detail oriented. His workers on our project were excellent. Very careful, tidy and above all skillfull. We are thrilled with the end results, and would recommend them unreservedly.

We first used Progressive Design to build a garage and summer room 4 years ago and were pleased with the results, so we contacted PD again when we finally got planning permission for a large extension to our house. We also invited 3 other companies to bid on our project, but ultimately chose PD. This decision was based on not only price, which was very competitive, but also attention to detail, flexibility and can-do attitude of owner Marius. These same qualities were continually exhibited throughout the 9 month long project (also included interior renovation of entire house and new roof) from Marius and his on-site team. A large project such as this of course comes with hiccups and some inconveniences, but Marius and his team went out of their way to minimise any negative impact on us. Our project is almost complete (on-time and on-budget) and I will (almost) miss having the white vans parked outside our house full of cheerful, helpful Progressive Design workers every day except Sundays!

We have worked with Progressive Design on two projects and our experience has been wholly positive. The Quotations are clear and detailed, the workforce is enthusiastic and co-operative under 'hands on' management.

Marius and his team have done a fantastic job on our new bathroom. Accommodating, additional works to our central heating system and completing the entire job within the project timescale. His team were a pleasure to have working on my home. I am already planning my next job for early 2018 and look forward to working with Marius again.

Marius and the team at Progressive Design have exceeded our expectations. The quality of work has been excellent, the team's work ethic has been second to none and they are the first builders I have ever worked with who truly understand the meaning of excellent customer service. Nothing was ever too much trouble! By using whatsapp to communicate on a daily basis between ourselves, the site manager and manager, all our decisions were dealt with quickly and nothing was every overlooked or forgotten. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Progressive Design, they were a pleasure to work with and we would certainly use them again in the future.

Marius & his team (George, Jack, Gabriel etc) recently completed a 7 month full refurbishment of my flat in North West London. I picked Progressive Design (PD) in large part based on the reviews here on Houzz, so it’s only fair I leave my own! It was a total gut of a somewhat tired 3-bed converted Victorian flat. There were a couple of minor niggles right at the start, but that’s part and parcel of any job. Marius took responsibility, sorted it out, and from that point on it was ultimately a very smooth project. PD were efficient, flexible where I changed my mind on plans/finishes, made sensible design suggestions along with my architect and are a thoroughly nice, polite, extremely hard-working and punctual bunch of guys to boot. Communication, which was very important to me, is excellent – Marius really helped take a lot of the stress away given I wasn’t around to follow progress day-to-day. He is thoughtful, practical and patient – it’s clear he really knows his stuff. The final finish is very good, pricing was reasonable (with the project coming in bang on the quote). They finished on schedule and they’ve made themselves available post completion to clear up any small snagging issues and to assist with a couple of things I’ve requested. The service really is top notch. I would strongly recommend Marius and his team for anyone looking to do a refurbishment, and they’ll be my first port of call for any future work I need done! Marius and his team were a pleasure to have around for no less than 9 months. They worked extra hard to accommodate us still living in our home as they created one room from three downstairs, converted our garage into an annexe, fitted a new kitchen and created a new loft conversion with bedroom, dressing area and bathroom. There was always a big team onsite getting the work done. Marius was great at communicating and keeping on top of the project and budget. Their costings were broken down very clearly so there were no hidden shocks along the way. The guys onsite were always friendly and respectful and just great to have around. I would highly recommend them for their professionalism and personable nature but also of course for the great workmanship and finish that they provided. Highly recommend and have already done so to two friends who have also been pleased with their work.

Progressive Design completed a full renovation of our newly purchased 3 bed flat in NW London. The job included extensive layout changes which involved removing and adding walls (and steel beams), fully new electricals and plumbing and all brand new second fixes (2 baths, kitchen, etc). I cannot recommend Marius and his team highly enough. Not only did they renovate the flat to the highest standard with impeccable attention to detail, but it was also a true pleasure to work with Marius throughout the project. We felt in safe hands the entire time and Marius never tired of our endless questions and maintained continuous communication through meetings and Whatspp. He incorporated all of our own design ideas in a practical and functional way and provided some valuable design input himself where requested. The workmanship of his team was near flawless and everyone who has seen the flat so far has been extremely impressed. It is very evident that Marius ultimately wants to see a happy client and so he and the team go above and beyond to make that happen, even accommodating last minute changes or unforeseen requests. Ultimately the project came in on budget and even a week ahead of schedule! If we ever get a chance to do another such renovation project we would definitely want to work with Progressive Design again!

Install bath and move shower, underfloor heating and replace tile flooring in bathroom. Blocking up doors and knocking walls down to combine rooms into one (4 doors in total). Inbuilt storage cupboards Painting and decorating Lots of other 'mini' jobs! Marius and Ovidiu were extremely helpful and happy to provide expertise and guidance from the moment we contacted them, even before we committed to use them. They constantly listened to our ideas and thoughts and then contributed and challenged to ensure we got results that avoided pitfalls we would not have foreseen. They also responded promptly and efficiently at all times, and were always available to discuss the work as it progressed. The team were polite, and respectful of the house, and we had no issue with them being here even though we were not present most of the time. They took in all deliveries and had keys with no problems. The work was generally of an excellent standard, for example the finish in the bathrooms of complex tiling, and the fitting of the bath and shower - or the excellent finish where the doors have been filled in or moved, it is impossible to see where they were. They were also helpful in doing small additional jobs as they came up. We are probably being extremely picky to not give 5 stars - 4.5 for sure! Would highly recommend and have already contacted them for further work.

I have nothing but good things to say about this company, and of its owner Marius. We had our entire house gutted and refibished and the process was quite stressful but the one aspect of it that we never had to worry about was our builders. They were knowledgeable, thorough, dependable and honest. Marius's suggestions about the layout and design of our house were spot on and we ended up with the best possible living space for our family. Marius always picked up the phone and was happy to answer our endless questions. Both he and his team explained things to us and gave us ideas on how to acheive our ideal space. And also it is important to note that we had to move out for the duration of the project as we have two small children. It was vital to us to be back in our house in a timely fashion. There was small delay of our own making (we changed the entire layout at the 11th hour!) but we were back home pretty much right on schedule. Overall, I have absolutely no problem reccommending this company. They made a stressful experience much less so.

This is the second time we have used progressive design. The very first time was for small job in the flat and we were so impressed by their work and professional attitude that we decided to use them again when we embarked on the whole flat refurbishment, including changing layout of the flat. We all know how stressful can be going through a whole refurbishment. However, the calmness and professionalism from Marius and his team, the whole process was smoother. Marius is always well prepared, he listens to the requests made, he likes having meetings to assess the progress and this really makes you feel you are in very good hands. The work they have done is really good, as always they deliver fantastic results. We are so grateful not just to Marius for always being there, but also to the whole team (Ovidiu, Vasi, Jack, Nico and George) who worked on this challenging project. We really wish them all the success they deserve. We would strongly recommend his company.

We bought a four-bedroom property and wanted a massive work done - changing the layout, building an extension, and garden works. We went for the usual route of getting quotes from 3 companies which included Progressive Design. Out of the 3, Progressive Design gave us the most impressive and detailed quotation for the work. Marius gave us the thorough explanation of all the works needed, how long it will take and listened to the ideas we have for our new house. He was very professional, punctual and approachable. And so are his crew. When the works started (December 2015), Progressive Design worked all throughout and only took the Christmas and Boxing Day as their holiday as they wanted to fulfill the promised completion date (6months December-May). The communication was gold as Marius sends us an email update, suggested that we view the house for progress once a week and to give us feedback on the works that they are doing. We met his architect who listened attentively to all our request and made sure that we will get what we want. When they were doing the extension, we were informed that it needed a permit and we were almost sure that the house is not going to be finish on the date expected but Marius gave us reassurance that the house keys will be given back on the date promised. (And surely he did!) When our dream kitchen island needed alterations from what we were expecting Marius tried to explain it in detail why it needed that change and had given us couple of drawings for comparison and again to reassure us that the change doesn't compromise the look that I wanted. Their professionalism was second to none. The attention to detail and quality of work were at its best. Our friends has not stop complimenting our dream house. The aftercare is also top quality. Marius answers his phone and it doesn't matter if it weekdays or weekends, day or night and he will reply even if it is the silliest question about the house. We will definitely recommend Marius/Progressive Design to any of our friends who needed or wanted any changes to their house whether it's big or small. We already called them back to do our gate!. We are a property development company and have used Progressive as the main contractor on our last 3 projects. They are supremely professional, take immense pride in their work and deliver fantastic results on time and on budget. They are very quick to escalate any issues on site but don't require constant monitoring. We would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them to others.

This is the 2nd time I have used Progressive Design. It was for an extensive refurbishment of a 2 Bedroom flat. They project managed and carried out all works for me. Progressive Design have a number of jobs they do at the same time, however they make the client feel as if they are the only job they are working on. They were always contactable day and night and should problems arise, which was very rare, they always had a solution . i would not hesitate to use them again or indeed recommend them to friends and family. The standard of their workmanship was first class.

I hired progressive design for a complete house renovation including; ground floor extension, loft conversion, complete re-plaster, new electrics, fitting a kitchen, fitting two bathrooms, installing a new roof, new floors etc etc. I cannot find fault in the services provided, Marius and his team were brilliant. Nothing was left to chance and they really go the extra mile which makes you feel that you are in safe hands. The job was brought in on time and on budget and thats with me adding a few things in along the way. I cannot recommend Progressive Design enough.

Marius and his team are excellent. We got them to complete a major project for us putting in a kitchen extension and garden landscaping. Marius helped us work through our design, supported us in the purchase of the kitchen units and then managed the build responding to our changing requirements - at all times helpful with good ideas that we incorporated into the final vision. We are really happy with the results, and have been really impressed with the attention to us as clients both during the project and afterwards. Progressive Design have remodelled the ground floor of our house putting in a new fireplace, shelving, windows, toilet, flooring, radiators, tiling, lighting and decorating. Marius helped us find some high quality products which enables us to get the design we wanted at a price we could afford. The team have done a really great job focused on delivering really high quality. They have been clean, tidy and flexible. We would use the team again and recommend them highly.

Marius and his team have been outstanding, from the very first moment they stepped in my property until completion day. From a professional perspective, the moment you meet Marius you realise you have in front of you somebody who's incredibly well prepared, he has an understanding of the buildng discipline - both the structural and the design side - no other builders I met has. Marius gives you an extremely detailed explanation of the works his team will carry out, often giving you ideas that improve it above and beyond what you have in mind. He genuinely wants you to be part of the project and wants you to understand what the works entail. He provides a very crisp schedule of work and a transparent, comprehensive cost estimate. If you require extras along the way, Marius will discuss them with you and reassess as necessary - communication is simply awesome all along the way. The quality of the work itself is top-notch, the team is very efficient and they always tidy up after their duty. Bonus points for the fact they're very polite, helpful and fun to be with if you're around :) In addition, these guys care not only about keeping high standards, but also and above all about ensuring that you're happy with the end result. An extra word needs to be spent around the personal side of this project: I reached out to Progressive Design in a moment of great distress, due to the big issues caused by a cowboy who left a complete refurbishing of a 3 bedroom home halfway through it. A LOT of issues came up along the way due to the poor workmanship of the cowboy, so we ended up having to do some unexpected structural work to my property. Now, I was on the verge of selling my home out of desperation, Marius has been AWESOME in just approaching those issues rationally and figuring out quick, effective solutions that did not compromise the quality of the final product - and kept my stress to a manageable level! A big thanks goes to him on a personal level, too.

We engaged Progressive Design to build a two storey side extension. They were involved from an early stage giving very useful advice based on their experience. They were extremely helpful and accommodating. The workmen were very tidy and there was as little disturbance to the rest of the house and the occupiers during the carrying out of the work as was possible. The work was carried out within the agreed budget. Whenever situations arose where decisions had to be made we were where possible given advance notice and alternatives were presented and explained. Very importantly whenever any issues arose these where honestly presented and addressed with the team not walking away from them. Progressive Design have been a pleasure to work with minimising the stress and problems associated with any building project to a very great degree. We have recommended the services of Marius and his team to others with absolutely no hesitation.

We needed urgent repairs to a house we owned where we needed to strip out and refurbish the downstairs toilet and shower room. Progressive Design sorted out not only the space design but through a schedule of works and discussion they provided a perfect solution. The quality of workmanship is excellent and they always advise on the most practical solution always compliant with the current Building Regulations. I would recommend them to anyone. We are so happy with Progressive Design and the quality of their work that we have just about to start some major building work with them.

We are the third people in our family to use Marius and his amazing team. As soon as we saw a leak coming through our ceiling we knew we wanted him to carry out our much needed repairs . Progressive design are completely professional, it is so reassuring that when a time is given they turn up and do exactly what they say they are going to do, Marius took many photos of our roof and tiles to show us exactly what work needed to be carried out. As soon as we finished that job we decided to redo our downstairs toilet . Again this was carried out quickly and with workers who always made sure every night that there was no mess or dust. When our work was complete again Marius made sure everything was completely to our satisfaction. I have and would recommend Marius and his company progressive design to anyone .

Recommendations are the best way to assess builders. Progressive Design was used by three people in our family and all gave glowing accounts of their experience (two reports are on this site). We got them in originally to look at a botched job carried out by another company on a shower leak which had gone through to the room below. Marius who came round to quote seemed so knowledgeable that we discussed some other projects with him as well: - Refitting the downstairs cloakroom - Refitting and tiling another bathroom - Redecorating the dining room, hall and landing The quotes seemed OK and so we gave the job to Marius. The work started on the day that he said that it would and his workers were great to have around. They arrived every day promptly at 8:00am (unless we asked for it to be later on a Saturday) and they would work through to 7 or 8 o'clock in the evening with only a half an hour for lunch. we often had to insist on them stopping for a drink as it was so hot! The standard of workmanship was astounding and they obviously have a pride in what they do. I ordered the paint, tiles and sanitary ware and they provided everything else and at the end, I was pleasantly surprised that I was not charged for any extras. As there were a few items that we had not chosen, Marius said to take our time in making decisions, and when we had them, his guys would come back to fit them. So, to sum up, Progressive Design did all that we asked and stuck to the quoted price. The workers were professional, cleaned up every evening and were great to have around. What more would you want out of a business relationship with a building contractor? They come highly recommended.

Ok….where do I start. Well that’s easy; in summary these guys are the real deal – simple as that! Below will hopefully explain why. We’ve had some smaller jobs completed by the guys at Progressive Design (new bathroom and new porch) - but this was our first big project – a 6m single story rear extension. Quotation Process:- Marius isn’t your typical builder who turns up at your door on a Monday evening to discuss an extension with you that you have literally no idea what the process is to complete such a project. By the end of it you have a far better understanding of how you are able to complete an extension of your dreams. Marius doesn’t simply turn up, look around and go away and quote. He goes through everything with you in minute detail (too much sometimes but you shouldn’t complain!!) - and really turns into your project manager. We were really impressed with his professionalism and the ideas he came up for us which made us really think about how we would proceed. Never was it a problem him to return to discuss the quotation, new ideas, meetings with the architect etc etc – his primary concern is us the customer and ensuring we get the extension we dreamed of. Aside from later which I will go into more detail one of the main reasons we returned to Marius and his team were budget; in those not once did Marius ask for any additional money or have any hidden costs; what he quoted was the final price which was testament to Marius as a project of this size was impressive to ensure this was met. The only additional funds ever were requested were when we asked for additional work etc. But the entire project was priced incredibly competitively compared to the other quotes we had so the decision was easy based on our past projects and recommendations from friends who used them in the past. The Team:- These guys are impressive. They work their socks off!! When you have English workers doing other things in the house it is embarassing to have them in the same building as Marius’s guys who includes his brother Ovidiu – the guys turn up bang on time and stay until they finish the task(s) they came for that day (usually past 18.30). Their work ethic was incredible and only took breaks when they really needed to compared to other tradesmen who had a part to play we often thought they could complete the job days earlier due to the number of coffee and cigarette breaks. An equally important factor were their professionalism – with a job of our size we had to ensure neighbour relations were kept good and they continually made sure that (us as well) was the case; they continually cleaned and kept everywhere as clean as possible. They are ALL the most skilled people I have seen before; the kinds of things they could do baffled us at times and with Marius being over more often that not to check on proceedings, we were 100% confident the whole time with the Progressive Design team. Things of course did not always go to plan (weather, findings within the house beyond our control that nobody would have known about) - but Marius was always accomodating and ensured he found the most cost effective solution for us; as with everyone a budget is there for a reason and he more often came up with the best solution. The project was completed pretty much on time (sooner than I thought which was an added bonus) and my wife and I now can’t believe the space that has been created along with the project being, to our eyes, completed to the highest standards!! In the days (and weeks) of us moving back Marius was always able to drop in to check on any concerns of ours and anything that needed a site visit by his team would (usually) be within the day or certainly 2 days. The team were able to complete about 95% of the works – the only thing were brand new windows/doors which required FENSA contractors. Progressive Design provided the following services (from what I can remember in no particular order!!):- Project Management from Marius! Architect issues – the guys spotted fundamental mistakes which could have caused major future problems Everything re the build Plumbing (everthing!) Electrics Floor tiling/wood flooring (inc. floor levelling!) Underfloor heating Sky lights Kitchen install New patio New floor insulation in other rooms AV installation And probably a lot more than I can’t think of

Progressive Design's snap line is "exceeding expectations" and they certainly live up to that! We recently had an extension built as my wife wanted a bigger kitchen than the one we had. They visited us at home and went through everything that would be needed and listened to what we wanted. The quote arrived within a couple of days and the price was surprisingly affordable. Could not recommend Marius and his amazing team highly enough. They have done a fantastic job modernising and extending what was a small 3 bed house into a substantial 4 bed with kitchen/diner, ensuite and downstairs cloakroom. Along the way Marius has guided us through the building process- one which we knew very little about at the start. Marius is also open to ideas and discussing options and will always guide us to choose the outcome that best meets our needs. We put all our trust in him and his team to create our dream house and they've done just that. The team work incredibly hard and progress throughout the build has been astounding. Quality of finish is very high with great attention to detail, helped by Marius' keen eye and high expectations. Marius worked hard to clearly understand our needs throughout the build and his communication has been excellent to ensure the project has run along smoothly with no nasty surprises. Marius put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our quote for the works was accurate and great value. The only 'extras' have been from our asking him to do extra bits including the decorating rather than surprise extras he's added on, like so many builders do. We've had so many neighbours asking for his details as they've been so impressed with what they've seen that I think it might be hard to use Progressive Design for lack of availability over the next year!

Looking for a team of hardworking, reliable, and talented builders? My wife and I highly recommend Marius and the team at Progressive Design. With Progressive Design's help, we renovated an 1890s Victorian semi-detached house in St. Albans. The property was in need of total refurbishment, with no proper bathroom, no modern kitchen and limited electrics. It was a big job. The Progressive team did the whole job, building a very sturdy, insulated, and well decorated new home. Together we installed a loft, built a small extension, re-laid all the floors (including underfloor heating), re-rendered and plastered all the walls, built two new staircases, installed a modern kitchen. We are left with a stunning home, with Victorian charm but all the modern amenities. Along the way, we received many compliments about our builders. They work hard, are smart and respectful, and (of course) very talented. This is a family of builders who take pride in their work, do the right thing, and strive to help you accomplish your vision. Highly recommended.

Marius and his team were our saviours. We met Marius and his team during a very stressful time since we were going through one of the worst nightmares one could ever face with builders. We had hired a company called TMC PROJECTS LTD based in Hertfordshire and run by Chris Kruszelnicki (recommended by Porcelanosa) to change the bathroom and they made such a terrible job with the plumbing that we had three major leaks affecting two flats below ours. Marius and his team were working at the time in the building where we live and they immediately helped us to solve the problem. They clearly had to start from the beginning to ensure that the plumbing was done properly, so we had a new bathroom done with progressive designs. It was a very stressful time for us and both Marius and his whole team were extremely sympathetic and made the refurbishment of the bathroom very smoothly. They explained to us every single thing they needed to change and why. The whole experience with the previous company was so traumatic, that we will always be extremely grateful to them (Progressive Design). They are now our number one priority for any future work we might conduct in the flat. We also want to name and thank Ovidiu, who was always extremely professional and polite during the whole time of the refurbishment.
