Project 1 Design & Build

Project 1 is a truly exceptional company! We wanted to remodel our top floor into a self-contained flat, creating a bedroom and living-room with kitchen area plus a bathroom. From our very first contact with Steve, Damian and Harry, we have been impressed by the colossal energy, evident experience and sheer professionalism that everyone at Project 1 brought to the table. During a series of initial meetings, we agreed a design, a budget and a week-by-week schedule of works with itemised fees and a start date. With only very minor changes, the project started and finished on time, and more importantly, stuck to budget! We were delighted to find everyone at P1 communicative, skillful, friendly and respectful. All of the on-site workers, including plumbers, electricians and tilers were reliable, consistent, and arrived on time – sometimes even early! - each and every day. Everyone was professional, energetic and really thoughtful about our experience (we were living in the house while the work was carried out). Our foreman Pawel was a sort of magician! - exceptionally fast, professional and skilled at organising everything and keeping the work on track. He was also meticulous about health and safety/building regulations. We were kept informed each day about the progress of the work and what was happening next: weekly meetings and constant communication ensured we knew what we needed to do next. Astonishingly, we found that the answer to every problem was always a solution! Everything was completed to the highest standard, with an amazing attention to detail. These days, it is difficult to find people who are genuinely interested in doing a good job. Everyone at P1 is laser-focused on the task at hand: they actually do what builders are supposed to do. I think we had forgotten what really excellent service looks like! Thank you Project1, we will be back!

We were absolutely delighted with the job Project 1 did on our house. Everything was managed extremely well before, during and after. The extension was designed by an experienced engineer who was very familiar with what was required from a planning point of view, the builders and craftsman worked very hard to finish the job early and to a high standard. Afterwards if any issue came to light, Project 1 responded promptly to resolve it! Overall we were very happy with the service we received!

Steve and his team worked with Creativedge to replace our kitchen, and did a magnificent job. What started as a disaster after a severe flood turned into a good news story, as we got the kitchen we’d always wanted. The team were a delight to work with, and the standard of their work is second to none. I’m already planning our next project….

Steve, Damien and the team at Project One just completed our new kitchen/extension and renovation project. We couldn’t be more delighted with the outcome and couldn’t recommend P1 highly enough. From day one the care, thought and expertise that the entire team brought to bear on the project was excellent. Throughout the project communication was brilliant, the team were constantly adapting to challenges, bringing excellent advice and guidance to our questions as the build progressed and delivered every stage of the build to the highest standard. They really are dedicated to quality and design and it shows in everything they’ve done for us. Working with Project One has been a genuine pleasure and i would do it again in a heartbeat.

The Project 1 team did an amazing job totally refurbishing our house. They stuck with it over the the chaos of the start of the first lockdown to ensure we were in before the arrival of our first child. They were so good that we got them back for Phase 2 and they've since worked on a project for my sister. Totally trustworthy and work of the highest quality.

Project1 did an outstanding job of landscaping our front driveway, complete with Victorian pathway. The passion and desire for perfection that Steve, Damien and their team have is unparalleled. Steve Ward's team demolished an old shed for us and completed stage one of our outbuilding within the bounds of conservation area planning permission. They dug and laid foundations and also repaired our cottage's front door canopy to ensure it no longer leaks. The builders, headed by Marian, were hard working and considerate of our neighbours. Marian left saying he’ll come back if we have any further issues with the canopy. Straightforward. Reassuring. Highly recommend.

project 1 We worked with them on our house in chiswick complete revamp along with their interior designer Vala. A big project,basement ,side extension, external extension the final result was Just as we pictured. Steve and Damien where always around making sure that everything was going to plan especially Damien who I called probably every second !!! Any complications they where there to sort it out. We had our ups and downs like any major renovation but always sorted it out. We now have the house we always wanted thanks guys !!!!

Creativedge bespoke furniture have been working many years for Project 1 producing high end bespoke Kitchens and furniture for various projects. Run by energetic Steve and construction wizard Damien, they have helped us to deliver dream homes for a number of high profile West London clients. The process with them is fast-paced and well-rehearsed - weekly site meetings, detailed spreadsheets and clear communication means builder, designer and client work as a team. As an interior design studio with demanding high profile clients we need a construction team that we can trust to execute high-end and cutting edge designs on time and on budget. The fact that they are top guys who are great fun to work with is a bonus.

I have worked with Project 1 Design & Build as an interior designer on numerous projects over the past 8 years. The owners, Steve and Damien, have great teams working for them! The quality of workmanship is fantastic and they are realistic with their costing and time planning and with the efficient scheduling and team setup they manage to complete projects faster then most other contractors. Last but not least, they always manage to establish a friendly and personal relationship with the clients -making the whole process more fun and less stressful.

Steve, Damien & the team were very professional throughout the project. I am very satisfied with the wuality of their work. The work was carried out with the least amount of disruption possible and was completed in good time. I have recommended Project 1 and I will not hesitate to continue to do so.
