Rob and the team did a great job. We are very pleased with the overall results. Of course there were a few problems along the way but these were resolved quickly and always with a friendly service. Site was always kept safe and as tidy as you could expect.

From start to finish Rob was very professional in carrying our work himself and engaging sub-contractors. S&S were highly recommended from a friend and did not dissappoint, we had a lot of various elements included from plumbing to repacing upstairs windows! Any subsequent issues and snagging was also dealt with very professionally.

Rob and his team are the friendliest and most reliable builders you will find in the area. S&S built a sizeable extension for me, as well as doing other smaller jobs, and I have always been extremely pleased with the quality of their work. They are not the cheapest around (who wants the cheapest?) but the most fairly priced by far and great value for money.

In the first place Rob and his team did a large side extension for us - consisting of 4 new rooms and a garage. Superb and timely job with no unnecessary extra to the quote, and always very pleasant to have on site. Since then we have had S&S Building Services back to do a few smaller jobs including laying a new patio and fence.

We contracted S&S to update and extend our house including knocking out a number of structural walls to open up the ground floor. In addition, we had the ground floor dug out to install underfloor heating (wet system). All of the work was completed to a very high standard and we were pleasantly surprised that other contractors that came to do specific parts such as install full-width bifold doors on the back of the house commented on how good the workmanship was and how precise and squared up the work was. This made their jobs easier! As with all projects of this type, there were challenges along the way but these were always fully explained and we were consulted on the best way to address each one along with any cost implications. During the project, we were so impressed with the work that we decided to increase the scope of the project to include some additional remodelling upstairs. Finally, the team was very polite and easy to get along with.

S&S built an extension to my period cottage in Surrey in 2018. The work was to a high standard and was on time and within budget. Their attention to detail, ability to solve practical problems inevitably arising with a 300 year old building and their sympathetic use of oak beams and other traditional materials were impressive. I can warmly recommend them to anyone embarking on a similar project.

Robert and his team completely refurbished our house, knocking half of it down and re-building it. He is conscientious and he was very reassuring as the project developed. Especially helpful as we had never embarked on such a big project before. I can recommend his work.

My wife and I have known and used Roberts company for many years and on numerous home projects. He has always been very respectful of home circumstances, totally professional and a very good builder . My father in law is a surveyor and his comments are that Robert is one of the best domestic builders he has seen . I would always recommend him to anyone .

Rob and his colleagues built a garage and did a garage conversion to the original garage. I can fully recommend S&S to anyone, the attention to detail is first class and several neighbours have told me of their 'garage envy' following the work! I would use the company again without hesitation and have already recommended them to a neighbour (who has hired them!)
