We are really happy with our loft conversion. We were living-in during most of the build with two small children and Sherif (owner) and his team did their best to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. From day one he reached out to our neighbours and gave them his contact number in case they needed him, doing his best to communicate well with everyone impacted. Sherif and I developed a great relationship, he is honest, considerate and works hard to deliver the results you want. As always with a build some things didn’t go perfectly to plan but I could rely on Sherif to ensure they were rectified quickly. Sherif was someone who I felt I could trust and that is a huge factor in any venture. Thanks again and wishing The Ratio Design & Build a prosperous future.

I found The Ratio Design & Build through Instagram...... a massive risk I know! Usually you get recommended a builder by family or friends. However, we live in unprecedented times, in the middle of a pandemic, housing shortage is a continuing problem meaning house prices are ever increasing, and the majority of the public decided to renovate/extend their homes during lockdown! After selecting 4 Contractors and meeting with all of them, my wife and I decided to award the contract to Manny and his company, The Ratio Design & Build, based on the effort he put into the pre-contract process and the level of great communication we had. My wife's exact comment was "he seems to have integrity". In an industry that has a terrible reputation, finding a trustworthy, competent, honest and dedicated contractor is very difficult. We are halfway through the build now and I am very happy to report that so far my experience of The Ratio Design & Build has been a fantastic one. So much so that I don't want to jinx myself by reporting on it! I deal with Sherif on a daily basis as he is the co-owner of the company and deals with the operational side, whilst Manny I believe deals with the business development side. A whatsApp group was set up by the project manager (Aamir) from day 1 and it is a great tool to communicate any changes / issues / progress on it. I have found the project team on site hard working, professional and experienced. Don't get me wrong, there is always room for improvement for any company and for The Ratio Design & Build the areas to improve on are none of the fundamentals. Perhaps the site project team having a uniform with the company's logo to echo the professionalism of the company is an example of the level of improvement I'm talking about. Otherwise, all the core essential characteristics of a design and build contractor are all there. Treat these guys fairly and they will look after you and treat you even better. I'm talking about payments on time (again my experience of the industry means I know the importance of making payments on time as the majority of the payment is distributed down the chain of subcontractors and suppliers etc.). If you're making changes then be open and fair and understand there will be additional costs depending on the change and so far Sherif has been fair, accommodating of my design tweaks and even going beyond on some occasions just to help me realise my vision. To date, the Ratio Design and Build team have been hard working and delivering on time with no hiccups from their side (touch wood!!!). I will be updating this review at the end of the project to once again to give my honest and truthful experience of these guys.

We are currently in the middle of our project and we have had excellent service from the entire Ratio team. We initially met with Manny who helped us create the initial design and estimate for our works, since then I have daily catch up with with Sherif who co owns Ratio with Manny who is very hands on with our project offering constant advice, including suggestions to save us money which is always a huge bonus. Aamir who has been assisting on the project has been very helpful in expediting the small details regarding our project and managing the project alongside Sherif. We have found the team to be very honest, reliable and helpful and we are so happy with the progress so far, in fact we are running ahead of schedule which is a rarity in build projects. Excited to see the end result and I have utmost faith in the Ratio team to be able to complete my project with great quality and in a timely manner.

Project on our house has been completed. The entire project went fairly smoothly and when issues arose we were very impressed by how quickly the PMs were on site /on the phone to resolve the issues. The issues were ultimately solved and which is the most important thing and it was clear to see the desire and involvement that each member of the team had in order to complete the project to the highest standard. Impressed with these guys from the get go. Additionally every member on the team was polite and really easy to deal with.

The team was very professional from start to finish turning up on time and ensuring the project was completed to a high spec. We had a complete refurb, taking out two interior walls and a ceiling to create a lofted kitchen with a through lounge. We also rewired the entire property with a new downstairs bathroom that was fitted. The team was very knowledgeable and always gave advice on where things could be done better and never complained when we wanted something added in at late notice. Highly recommend these guys as they gave us the dream house that we wanted.

Currently have The Ratio doing internal decorating (installing wood panelling repainting a number of rooms), rebuilding our front garden wall and tiling the outdoor area. We are extremely impressed. Before the work starts they set up a group on whatsapp in order to make sure the process goes smoothly. Project managers are here overseeing the project everyday and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend these guys enough!

First stage of build complete on a rear extension and cannot recommend these guys more. Sherif and Manny are very knowledgeable, and always offering great advice and solutions. Treats you as a friend but works professionally.

Our project has been ongoing for 4 weeks now for a full house renovation. So far it has been going great, the guys are getting through the work to a good standard, turn up on time every day and to a high standard. Am very happy with the progress

Currently having an extension build. Now on to last internal works. Fantastic team who have done their best to keep us up to date with progress. Starting to see it all come together and am so happy. They are working flat out to give me a usable oven and kitchen area for Christmas Day. Lovely team and will be more than happy to share all pictures when done. Happy to give them 5 stars And recommend the team.

My wife and I had a couple of leaking chimneys in our flat, which caused damp problems on the walls including our living area. We contacted Sherif for some help, and he arranged for the chimneys to be capped. Since then, the areas of damp have been drying out nicely!

The Ratio Design & Build have recently renovated our downstairs living area including the garden. They have completely transformed the space to a high quality finish. They were very efficient and professional. I highly recommend their services and would book them for further work in the future.

The Ratio Design and Build team did an excellent job in renewing the flat roof on my dormer extension. The job was completed on time and on budget ; I would have no hesitation in using the team on future projects

Extremely pleased with the outcome of the full house refurb I received. It is a very difficult and stressful time when trying to choose and trust a company to carry out the work you require however I would highly recommend The Ratio Design & Build. They were extremely helpful and professional through out the whole process.

I chose this company to do a L shape extension which took 90 days the guys did a fantastic job with the extension and installation of my new kitchen. Very well done job at a high quality. The job all in all was what I was quoted for and didn’t go over which was great I am also impressed with their tidiness overall would recommend this company for anyone doing work in their homes good job guys

Super happy we chose the team at Ratio Design to carryout a full renovation on our 3 bedroom property. The team completed the work within the timeframe we gave them (2months) which was very important as we had a newborn baby due in 3 months. They did all the work within our budget (50k) and the end result was of a high standard. Very professional team, would definitely recommend these guys and a big thank you to Manny!

Professional and quality finish. Really impressed with the overall job from start to finish. Bathroom is now completely transformed and fabulous. I will be using Ratio Design & Build to renovate my kitchen in the summer! Really happy customer, I have as a result recommended them to family and friends.

Arkk had done my kitchen and bathroom renovation and I must say, I would not recommend anyone else other than Arkk!
