We recently used Totus for the design and build of our extension, loft conversion and a full renovation of our home. They were extremely professional and transparent throughout and we would recommend them highly to anyone else looking for an honest, reliable and hard working team to transform their home.

TOTUS provided us with a full design and project management service for an extension and full refurb of our 4 bedroom detached house. They liaised with planners, architects, building contractors, kitchen companies and advised on sourcing of materials and interior furnishings. The project took 10 months from conception to completion. The people at TOTUS were creative, professional and importantly a pleasure to work with. I would and have recommended them successfully to friends.

My wife and myself had a GREAT experience working with TOTUS, Terry and Andrew. We reached out without referral for help in doing major kitchen remodel of space that had been begging for renovation since we purchased house more than 10 years ago. We had some ideas but Andrew took off with them, holding onto features that made the project more cost effective and beautiful (e.g., roof windows, large garden door), and configuring space to be both efficient and beautiful with appropriate symmetry and clean lines. He saw nuances that we did not and made all come together timely and seemingly effortlessly while we lived in the house. The team is also attentive to detail and uncompromising in making even the finest detail come out right. We've used Totus twice - once for a 6 week kitchen refurbishment, then for a more extensive back and loft extension which took approximately 6 months. I’ve had the pleasure of using Totus as our builders for a very large project on our house in Richmond. They are the best, most reliable builders with an eye for detail. : They use a strong support system to ensure quality construction results and have excellent relationships with suppliers, as well as an internal staff that can handle all needs associated with the project (including project management, design, and construction). The project manager and his team were extremely professional and there was never anything they could not do. Their price were competitive amongst excellent builders and there was no price variation during the project. They also stuck to the time frame they quoted and we lived in the house through the whole project. If I ever need anything done I will only use them. I can not praise them enough. They are class!!!

Totus did a fantastic job for us, and worked with us throughout the build to ensure everything was perfect and were not fazed by any challenges or work that we decided to do ourselves to keep costs down. They provided a full breakdown of the price, so you can clearly see what's included, what's not, and how it's worked out - therefore no surprises along the way. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them for any future projects.

Totus did a full refurbishment, loft and back extension on our property. The project started in October 2020, from start to finish Andrew and his team were very efficient and inform us for any issues beforehand. Half way through the project we were in lockdown, the team kept to the government guidelines, everyday the foreman made sure the site was kept clean and tidy. Although the project was during winter and encounter the national lockdown, however the project was deliver on time and we move back to our new home within the agreed 6 months period. We have no hesitation to use Totus for our next renovation project.

We've been in our current house since 1999 and have had several renovations, with the 2006 two storey side extension being the last major work. This, plus experiences from friends and neighbours, puts in context for us how good Totus really is! In order of what really distinguishes them I'd say: 1. Pride: From Andrew the founder to all the labourers, everyone within the remit of Totus takes ownership of their craft. Andrew personally oversaw the project in the initial "dig out and build up" phase with very frequent site visits. It is noteworthy that majority of the workers on site are direct employees of Totus and not sub contractors (helping with quality control). The specialists (plumber, electrician, decorator etc.) get bulk of their work from Totus and are hand picked by Andrew so take just as much pride in their trade as the rest of Totus. 2. Communication: timely and frequent and always very understanding! 3. Kindness: All of Totus are gentle giants. We (family of five) stayed in during the whole construction (from July 2020 till February 2021 - so height of lock down) and they all went out of the way to ensure disruption to our lives were kept to a minimum. Can't really put a price on that! 4. Reliability: Andrew's word is his bond. As hiccups arose, as they invariably do in a large project, and I made significant changes to the approved Planning Permission 2 months into the build(!), we got used to Andew suggesting cost effective solutions and making sure they get done on time and within budget. 5. Fair: for the quality of workmanship and service, I would say the price is very good value. I have, from work, dealt with large tenders on multi million projects - with Totus it's like getting a same level of professionalism at a retail level. Also, when I increased the scope of works, the additional charge was fairly costed and delivered within the estimate. 6. Top notch operational management in the background: Even with COVID Lockdowns and supplier problems and workers having to isolate, the Totus machine clicked on and delivered on time and in budget. We have already recommended Totus to our friends and family and will happily recommend them for you!

This is the second time we have used Totus for a construction project and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Andrew and Terry take pride in the work they do and ensure they 'own' the project throughout. Practical solutions will be offered to the inevitable surprises that arise during any construction work which is always helpful. Superb job delivered by TOTUS & the team – We are very satisfied with the final result. We went through a full renovation project (inclusive of loft conversion and ground floor rear extension) that was completed on time (in August 2020) and within budget. Communication was perfect (very crucial for us) and they were always professional, open to listen the customer and find new solutions. (where required). The quality of the work and attention to details were high standard. Would I recommend or contract again TOTUS? 100% no doubt.

Our neighbours recommended Totus to us after renovating their entire house and we have also been very impressed with the quality of their work on our first floor extension. Andrew was involved at every stage and helped navigate specific planning permission requirements and tree protection issues in the beginning and regularly checked on progress through out the build. Andrew and the team were very professional, polite and kept the site tidy. Totus completed the work on time despite us making a couple of changes along the way such as adding a new window which impacted the plaster and roofing timings. The team worked very hard and put in extra hours when needed. We highly recommend Totus and would use them again.

From getting the quote, through to delivery of the work they have been exceptional throughout. Highly professional, making time for us, no issue too big or small, fantastic attention to detail and forward planning. Finishes are exceptional. Really approachable with any questions that arose during the build. We went to see two previous properties they had worked on before engaging them and received glowing endorsements of them from the owners of those properties. The work was completed to a high standard, timely to the day, and the team were expertly and a real joy to work with. The after-care has also been phenomenal. This was our first building project and Andrew, who runs the company with his brother Terry, was there with us every step of the way with guidance and advice. He was invaluable when it came to discussing what's possible and also helped us a lot with design ideas, materials that would work and where to source what we needed.He was always there to bring ideas and advise us expertly on the pros and cons of various options. Mitch, our site manager, is wonderful and was always happy to explain in an easy manner, listen, bring great ideas, discuss options and adapt plans. The whole team were a joy to have around and.the neighbours were impressed with their courtesy, care not to impact neighbouring properties and tidiness - areas where building projects seem to often lack. The whole team worked incredibly hard. Totus had promised at the start of the project to complete by Christmas, and that's exactly what they did! We've been living with our wonderful new space for 2 years now and there isn't a thing we would like to change or are unhappy with and not a day that we're not grateful for our new and improved home.

Totus recently completed our ground floor extension. This is the third time we do work in the house and my only regret is not having come across Totus years ago when we bought the house. Totus took over our project after we had a major disaster with the previous builders. Overnight all our issues disappeared! Totus service and quality of finish is outstanding (and my attention to detail is EXTREMELY high) and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. They are extremely experience in what they do which comes across from day 1 and helps reduce stress and have the best tradesmen out there from carpenters and electricians to the decorators. Unfortunately we have now finished the renovations in the house but if we ever need to do any more work to this house or any other house I will without a doubt be using Totus again and I dare say I know I’ll enjoy the process! Our project was to extend and remodel the ground floor of our house and enlarge and alter the attic space. We were living in the house throughout the works so it was important that the job was completed in a timely manner whilst still being done to a high standard. Andrew worked with us to manage the disruption as much as possible and was always available to offer help and advice. He explained any options to us thoroughly so we were in a good position to make decisions. Any problems that developed were solved without fuss and they spent time and effort to make sure they were happy with the final outcome. The crew were hard working and polite and worked extra hours if necessary to get things done. I am very pleased we chose Totus to work on our house and would be happy to recommend them.

We were highly recommended Totus for one of our projects in North West London. After interviewing and vetting 10 different contracting companies, we chose Totus on their professionalism, large team, organisation and communication. We were not disappointed and Totus frequently exceeded expectations. We engaged Totus for a complete renovation of our five bedroom Edwardian house and a single storey rear extension. From our initial meeting with Andrew during the proposal phase, we were impressed by his professionalism and his commitment to delivery (the only one who got us an estimate early!). That same professionalism was also what we experienced during the build process from him and his entire team. Taking on such a big renovation was new to us and we had heard many horror stories from friends as to how such projects usually run behind schedule, how hands on you need to be with the builders etc. That was not true for us when we worked with Totus, in the end it was Andrew who reminded us to meet for routine catch ups since we felt he had it under control and just left his team to it. I would also add to that every single member from Totus had very good work etiquettes. Every time I went (unexpectedly as we lived only 5 minutes away) the full team were hard at work. I felt they took pride in their work and getting it right. All in all, excellent experience and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Together with excellent architects, Totus were the cheapest of the contractors we contacted, offered to deliver faster than the competitors and delivered on time to a high quality a complete transformation and extension of the downstairs of our house. We are very happy with the result.

We engaged Totus to do a full renovation of our 5 bedroom house, including a significant double-storey extension, re-roofing, re-wiring, heating, landscaping etc. Just before they started I was relocated abroad for work, so we had to manage the entire project remotely. I cannot recommend Totus more highly. Terry, Andrew and Vadym we’re professional and helpful from start to finish, despite some of the challenges with us being abroad. The quality of their work is also superb, across every trade. Having refurbed 3 houses now, the experience with Totus in terms of professionalism, communication, flexibility and quality was in a different league and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Totus recently built a single storey rear extension on our house in Wimbledon and we are delighted with the end result. Andrew and Terry were excellent to work with and managed the project very efficiently. Although most of the design had been finalised when we first contacted Totus, they were able to provide excellent advice on some minor changes that have made a huge difference as well as solving some issues we had encountered. The on-site team worked to a very high standard and were extremely hard working which is testament to the fact that the project was finished within 15 weeks which is excellent considering the amount of work involved. After finishing the project they have also been happy to solve any minor issues that have arisen. We are very happy we chose Totus and I would highly recommend Totus to anyone in the future.

We work with Totus on the full renovation of our house and the team was professional and on time with the job (they estimated 6 months of work and delivered in 6 months). The quality of the finish is also very good and although some mistakes were made along the way we would not hesitate to reccomand working with Andrew and his team. Even after delivering the prj they were always available to help out with any small follow up or investigations required and we feel we will be able to rely on them and the good quality of thier work in the future too.

Choosing Totus to effectively rebuild our terraced house in Fulham has turned out to be an excellent decision. Throughout the process, everyone we have worked with has acted with integrity, excellence and a positive attitude. They completed an extraordinary amount of work within 5 months so that we could move in when we desired. They started quickly and pushed on with the works despite setbacks and delays from planners, surveyors and suppliers. Our weekly site meeting with the project manager was invaluable as we were able to keep up excellent levels of communication. Very few mistakes were made and if there was a problem it was quickly resolved. At no point were we waiting for Totus, it was always a supplier that held us up. The project was clearly costed at the beginning and those costs were kept to by Totus. A cost review was carried out mid project by Totus so that we could trim down the budget. Inevitably, the scope was added to during the build due to unforseen circumstances with the house or decisions made by us. We completed the build with drawings from an architect but had no architect managing the build. We worked directly with Totus who project managed it excellently and gave us clear deadlines on when they needed our decisions for fixtures, fittings, flooring, paints, appliances etc. Terry was an excellent point of contact who is extremely efficient and good at keeping the ball rolling with outstanding communication. Vadym, our project manager, did a great job in pushing things forward and quickly coming up with solutions to on site issues. Roman, the on site foreman, led the build well and managed to get the best out of all tradesmen on site. Giggs, the electrician also deserves a mention for the excellent job he has done in replacing the electrics throughout the house. The quality of the finish has been very good. And snagging has been completed at a leisurely pace dictated by us and without fuss. All in all, Totus is a solid professional outfit who can be trusted to do a good job for an accurate estimate. Totus won the tendering process over two other established London builders. Totus had a competitive price combined with fantastic organisational skills. We are very glad we choose Totus and would not hesitate to do so again in the future.

A highly recommended team of experts! Totus managed to completely renovate our house including a wrap-around kitchen extension, loft extension and garden landscaping in four months and in time for our wedding. The team came highly recommended by a work colleague, and having met a long line of other recommended builders, we felt most confident in Andrew and Terry's ability to meet our needs. Andrew and Terry were extremely professional throughout the process from the very first meeting and very clear and honest in their communication, something which we feel sets them apart from the competition. We had regular meetings 'on site' and felt that we could ring Andrew with any queries no matter how trivial they might have seemed. We agreed a detailed scope and budget ahead of the project and timings of invoices. This all helped to make us feel completely at ease. The team brought more to the project than we could have imagined, often suggesting innovative design ideas, where we were struggling to find a solution. The most significant being the idea of lowering our entire first floor ceiling, to get extra head height in the loft rooms without raising the roof ridge. They very much tried to work with us and using their vast experience to guide us through the process and help us to prioritise when to make certain decisions (eg. choosing windows, bathrooms, flooring etc). They have a wide network to call on which means that they could do the whole renovation from start to finish including installation of bathrooms, flooring and the kitchen. The fact that we were dealing with one point of contract rather than multiple-contractors made the process as simple as a renovation project can be. Given we were due to get married six months after Totus began work, keeping to strict timings was key. Even when we decided that we wanted to landscape the garden a the last minute and install a stone patio, Andrew and team managed to work around this and stick to the original deadline bringing in more people and working longer hours. Overall, Totus were always professional, flexible, efficient and extremely hard working. We couldn't recommend Totus highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future, although next time round we'd avoid planning a wedding at the same time! Michael and Jen

Very happy with the work done by Totus as I was looking for the right builder for almost 5 months but it was worth it. We have done a large project where the house was extended throughout. In particular, I was impressed with the work done by Andrew as they completed all the work 2 weeks before the schedule. Also I had a total transparency through the entire process of costs due to the regular meetings with the site manager where all variations in costs were discussed and all the changes required. Most of the time it was because I wanted to change a few things and the team was very flexible and performed work to a high standards. I have only had 2 occasions through this build where something was put in the position (e.g. a door & a glass partition) I did not want it. In both cases, they replaced it with my requirement free of charge – no debate or discussion. Very glad with over all service and would highly recommend Totus.
