“We booked Rumi to oversee a project in our home in Bournville. In the grand scheme of things it was probably quite small: joining a living and dining room with a pocket door, and we initially approached her for a consultation without any real awareness of if we could afford her, what an interior designer actually does (!), anything really. She was wonderful from beginning to end. Always friendly, but also highly organised and professional, she was keen to stay within our budget, arranged for us to work with some excellent builders and suppliers, and had a number of practical and creative ideas to join and decorate the rooms in ways that made them more functional and significantly more beautiful. We're extremely pleased. We blew our budget in the end--entirely our fault and possibly everyone does--but couldn't be happier with the rooms. Certainly worth chatting to Rumi about what she might do for your project. We're very glad we did.”

“I have worked with Jen on 2 projects now and I’m thrilled with her work. She listens, asks great questions and gets a real sense of what you’re after and then pulls together her creative ideas and mood boards. I always feel challenged, in a good way. Her attention to detail and intensive research is excellent and she compiles a really easy to use shopping list, including great contacts from her little black book! We have used Jen for our holiday home which she was able to do from photos and videos. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.”

“The living house have been our absolute home saviour. Myself and my husband live extremely hectic and busy lives both working full time with two children who have lots of different hobbies. We were at a complete loss when it came to decorating our home and this really was quite stressful for us both. Having just moved into a new build which was a total blank canvas the thought of decorating completely overwhelmed us and we just did not have the time or any idea of where to start. We knew the way we wanted our home to look and feel but just genuinely had absolutely no idea or time to achieve it. The girls at The Living House were absolutely amazing. They’re vision and passion for interior design is truly outstanding and they were genuinely just a pleasure to work with too. They are so unbelievably talented and we feel incredibly lucky to have came across their services. They listened to what we wanted and made the whole process completely easy and stress free. So much so in-fact that after completing our first room with them we then booked for them to design our whole house. Our home is so much more then we ever dreamed it could be and for that we will always be so incredibly grateful. They listened, were patient, innovative, considerate and just absolute geniuses in creating the most warm, cosy, modern & contemporary home which is exactly what we had always wanted and dreamed of.
