“Last year I had some time in-between 2 jobs and decided to build something that I always dreamed of - a garden studio. This was quite a challenge but I really enjoyed it. Where I needed help the most was in decorating the finish product. I'm good with a drill, but when it comes to choosing colours, I'm at lost. And Jo came to the rescue! The brief was simple. I wanted a modern urban man cave with plywood and all that cool Shoreditch style. Jo first selected the main colour which is a deep blue, and some amazing William Morris wallpaper. I was a bit sceptical about the latter but the end result is fabulous. She organised some shelvings and storage with oiled OSB doors, suggested leaving the raw plywood flooring and helped me selecting a nice Scandinavian desk. The end result is exactly ... me! “Well what can I say... Sacha has been a revelation in completing the renovation of my newly purchased property in Chelsea. I first contacted her in April 2022 just before I acquired the house as I didn't want to waste time. I had to choose between her and several other Interior Designers, HoneyBee stood apart for me because of a few factors. Firstly, I was getting Sacha instead of being 'palmed off' onto someone that operated under the banner of a design company which meant a lot to me because I wanted the person who was responsible for the design of the showcased projects to be the person that actually conducted my one. Her prior projects drew me in because of her use of colour in a conservative and tasteful way. I'm a pretty conservative person, but didn't want the place to appear overly monochrome. I was worried about making permanent changes that would jar against the tranquility of the space I wanted to create. Sacha was able to convince me that the use of colour via accessories and the occasion stand out piece would accomplish my objectives. I also really appreciated the way in which we were able to communicate likes and dislikes with each other! Sacha worked within budget constraints which was very important to me. It meant that we could strategic apportion the investment into places in the house where I would gain the maximum impact and enjoyment. She was consistently communicating with me the trade-offs between nice to have items and must have items. Ultimately this allowed the budget to cover all areas of the property in a very effective way. A significant proportion of the renovation work was bespoke cabinetry and custom finishes. Needless to say the design of such items and choice of seasoned carpenters, joiners, flooring specialists was absolutely crucial in achieving a very high quality of finish. Sacha led the detailed design and selection of all the on-site professionals. Being a time poor professional working in the city and abroad, there would be no way in which I could have conducted the project on my own. Sacha assumed total responsibility of coordinating all the contractors and professionals on-site, even scheduling the deliveries and quality controlling all the items that arrived. Sacha even arranged the returns and refunds of items (in some cases negotiating compensation for poor service!!!) Her attention to detail was incredible, she was very (very!) demanding of all suppliers involved o ensure that her exacting standards were met. As the homeowner, I do not think I would personally have achieved the same output had I tried to complete the same activities. Her estimation of costs/timeliness of the project were absolutely spot on - something I never thought I would ever say about a house renovation! Lastly, I would say Sacha is a joy to work with and I would count her as a friend. I would highly recommend HoneyBee to anyone undertaking a significant project. I will be using Sacha for my next project!”
