“I was moving house and although upsizing had limited loft space. The opposite of what I had in the house I was moving out of. I have always been a hoarder and had kept literally everything from theatre programmes to bus tickets, Birthday cards and letters to school books, cuddly toys to clothes.
I needed to declutter and fast and I didn’t know where to start as it was like my whole life was in these of boxes and truth be told I did not want to have to throw any of it out.
Maria was amazing. What was a huge mountain to climb for me she made seem so easy. It was an extremely emotional process for me but Maria made me realise I didn’t need boxes and boxes of stuff. I have kept the very special items but now have one memory box, rather than 100! I am forever grateful as since moving I have realised all those boxes would have been a total burden and what is the point in moving into a lovely new home and taking all your junk with you only to hide it away?”

In addition to sorting out the garage, we had put a lot of furniture and miscellaneous bits and pieces in off-site storage, which Nicki and Heidi completely sorted out - we had thought it was an impossible task. It would have taken us weeks to get through all of this, and they were great value to boot. She also brought fresh ideas to how the open space could be used more effectively, whilst ensuring the room looked clear. At all times we worked in partnership to achieve the agreed tasks which was important to me.
