“We decided to award Home Architecture the design contract for a large rear extension we had planned for our 1930s house. The designed drawing by Mike had some design options that at the time we had not considered. With this open advice and forward thinking vision we approved modification for the final drawing sign off. Its now some eight years since we had the extension done and still very much appreciated the input we had from the architects. The rear extension in brief consisted of a approx 6m x 4m single story extension, with tiled roof , velux windows and Bi-fold doors across the rear to open up onto hard wood decking. I would recommend Home Architecture if you are considering building works small or large.”

“We loved working with Emily. She is thorough, accurate, knowledgeable and collaborative. A true professional. Emily took the time to get to know us and listen to what we wanted to achieve. She understood the space we felt we could create and how to transform it into our forever family home. She worked with us through the concept and drawing phase and creatively found a solution to our upstairs that we hadn't considered. She is thoughtful, realistic and detailed - advising on what is possible and if it isn't, the reasons why, or the cost required to achieve it. Emily helped us get through a difficult planning process, navigating tricky conversations with the powers that be, especially when we were delayed by bat surveys and the ecology process. She has a strong network and understands the process thoroughly - able to advise on timeframes and correct protocol. She recommended to us our builder - the best we've ever worked with and who we will continue to use for any future builds. Considering the quality of her work, time spent and continued support, we felt her prices incredibly fair. Emily is a delight to work with, very patient and reassuring, and we would highly recommend her.”

“Absolute Architecture was a joy to work with. Kate Cooper and her team worked with a tiny, decrepit home, large garden and stables from 1908 and turned the property into a show piece. They were sympathetic to the original design and area while making the home user friendly and comfortable for contemporary residents. They were knowledgeable about the many local laws and guidelines and used the best local craftsmen for the renovation and addition, all in a timely, warm manner. We are so proud of our lovely home; it came out truly beautiful. Thank you Kate!”

“We employed Milton Architects to help us with a major (for us) project in transforming our rather quirky 1911 house. The project took c10 months and we made it more difficult for the architects and contractors by choosing to live in different corners of the house while work carried on around us. We are delighted with the end result. Mike Milton brought many innovative elements to the overall design and equal emphasis was placed on the practical considerations such as construction, plumbing, electrics and sourcing. The project incorporated constructional changes, renovations and improvements, two new extensions and a few demolitions. MA handled the project management very well, first through Mike and then his colleague Ros Leverett. The project - having allowed for the constraints and problems encountered along the way (asbestos, rotten timbers, crumbling foundations ...) was very close to the original budget and timescale, and the interactions with the construction company exemplary. So in conclusion we are very pleased to recommend Milton Architects highly and unreservedly for any project remotely similar to our own.”

“We hired Ed after a personal recommendation to redesign our Edwardian cottage in the New Forest - not a straightforward job as the property is within a National Park, Conservation Area and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Ed designed the extensions to fit in with the existing building, remodelled the floor plans, ran the planning application and then put the drawings together for Building regulations and the builder. We couldn't be happier with the results - Ed really maximised the space by suggesting a side/rear extension, loft conversion and remodelling the inside space. We now have a house that flows with the space we needed - an extra bedroom, extra WC and a large open plan kitchen/diner leading out to the garden. Ed made so many great suggestions, including vaulting the ceiling in the kitchen which really improves the space and light. The planning application was on time and without problem. Highly recommended.”

“Currently using Michael to plan a 2-storey kitchen / dining / bedroom extension on our property. We had a fairly clear plan of what we wanted but Michael had definitely suggested things within that which we would not have previously thought about. Really pleased with plans produced. All planning permissions etc have gone through really smoothly and we have had no involvement. Michael has been great in taking it at our pace (which has changed at times). He has been really flexible with how we progress throughout the rest of the project and we have total trust that he will support us in whatever way we require. We would recommend.”

“Nick helped us with the restoration of an 18th century house over several years. He was not fazed by any of the unexpected problems the house threw at us and solved all of them in a practical manner and with the minimum of fuss. He is very strong technically but is also willing to get his hands dirty and explore the nooks and crannies. He has an easy and friendly manner and worked well with the various contractors on site. He also has established good relationships with the local planning, conservation and building officials, which proved very important for a project of this kind. We would happily recommend Nick to anyone needing architectural support on a restoration project.”
