About Us

A House to Love, established by interior designer Olya Lammas, is a bespoke interior design service creating distinctive spaces for every day living, by combining contemporary design with antique pieces. “My passion for interior design started with a large-scale Victorian villa in desperate need of re-design and renovation which had the potential to be a beautiful, stylish and magnificent home. With the project finished, everybody who saw the house was in raptures about what I had done, and I began to get serious enquiries asking for help with various interior design and house projects. For me design is not a job, it is my life. Every new project – big or small - is brimming with potential which is thrilling and exciting. I am always studying art and design, always travelling seeking inspiration, and always researching ideas. My other strong passion is interior antiques, a vital element in making any space sing/come alive. I spend a considerable amount of time trawling through European antique markets finding the pieces that will start a story of a room or might be a statement piece which brings the whole design concept to completion, to a wonderful conclusion. Aesthetics and functionality are two core principles of successful design but understanding and incorporating the individuals’ character and vision into their living environment is what makes their home unique to them. This elevates design to a whole new dimension. Having worked as a fashion stylist for 15 years “translating” characters into their individual clothing styles helps me to translate the same in the interiors setting”. Olya can help with many aspects of interior design: from space planning and layouts to creating a concept; colour schemes; soft furnishings; custom-made furniture; kitchen and bathroom design; sourcing furniture and antiques; and of course, styling. Olya is equally at home working on projects large or small, from one room to the whole house, from sourcing one individual item to designing and manufacturing the whole range of free standing and built-in furniture. Working with an array of talented artisans from furniture makers, upholsterers and rug designers, to specialist decorators who can hang natural raffia and other textiles on walls. Olya can create A House to Love for every client.
