About a year ago my husband and l asked Amelia to help us with the renovation of our holiday home in Cumbria, to make it ready for our eventual permanent occupation when we retire.
Now, a year down the line, the outside has been re-rendered, the inside gutted and damp-proofed, there is the new kitchen l longed for, and everywhere is redecorated, recarpeted, and altogether comfortable again. In addition we have a brand new bathroom and much needed second toilet.
It has been marvellous to have Amelia manage everything and be on hand to oversee the work and sort out issues as they arise, particularly as we currently live some distance away. It has been good to make use of her trusted and competent team of tradespeople and to benefit from her own practical knowledge and experience. Amelia's design input has been invaluable and she was always very quick to pick up on the sorts of things we liked or disliked and to understand our needs.
I am very thankful indeed that we discovered Amelia!

Amelia did a great job for us converting a cottage kitchen into a bedroom / dressing room. She picked up on our preferences and expectations very quickly and presented us with a stylish revamp within our budget. She did an excellent job in sourcing not only the fitted / built furniture but also the soft fabrics and fittings. In short, a complete solution. We didn’t need her to project manage the implementation but she was always at the end of the phone for advice. Highly recommended.

Like many people I knew my house needed updating. However I had neither the time or energy to start the project.
Amelia made the process fun and easy. She was respectful of the challenges I faced and the work fitted in around me.
All the trades turned up and Amelia sorted any glitches.
It has taken time -but that was due to my circumstances.
I am extremely happy with the result . It has been admired by friends and family. I feel it reflects my original vision.

Thank you Sheila, it was fun for me too and you have been a pleasure to work with.
We could never have believed that a phone call 'just to enquire' last year would have led to us having the changes to our home that we have. Amy has helped us transform our whole downstairs living area and our family bathroom. From dark and dysfunctional, our kitchen / lounge diner family space is now light, bright and amazingly beautiful.
Amy is talented and professional and has fantastic vision. We can hardly believe our house is the same one! Helping with layout and plans and unique design features, we cannot recommend Amelia enough. She's a real star

Comment from Amelia Wilson:
Oh what a lovely review - thank you so much Hilary
Over the last year we undertook a full renovation of a 3 bedroom house in Windermere.
Amy helped enormously with interior design, planning, project management and site management throughout.
She worked closely with us, listening to our ideas and coming up with designs and inspirations that helped us create a beautiful house inspired by mid-century design.
Amy has a broad range of knowledge about suppliers and traders in the area, she was able to suggest great furniture and fittings within our budget.
It's a real personal service - Amy is always available if questions come up and I feel that she really understood our needs and budget.

We would like to thank you for all your help and hard work in taking our shell of a house and transforming it. We love all the decor and designs and would not change a thing. The workmanship is of a high standard and we felt that you went above and beyond what we had expected. The photos on the website look great and are attracting a good number of bookings.
It has been a pleasure working with you and we could not recommend you highly enough.
Many thanks
Ian & Helen

Amy did an excellent job as the project manager for the rebuild and refurbishment of my very run-down utility room into a modern utility room/sun room. The job required a builder, roofer, plumber, electrician, tiler and kitchen fitter. All of the trades people had been used by Amy in previous projects and so she knew that they were reliable and would do a professional job. Amy was at the end of an email, text message and/or phone call and always responded promptly with a positive outcome. Importantly, the final invoice from each trade person (and Amy) was bang on the estimate.

Amelia did a fantastic job on our show apartment at John Dalton House in Cockermouth. Soon to be starting a second show apartment as the first went quickly. I would highly recommend Amelia.

Amy has planned and delivered the transformation of our much-loved Georgian farmhouse home from shabby-and-definitely-not-chic to something beautiful, stylish and still cosy. Marshalling a small army or roofers, decorators, joiners, electricians, plasterers and - memorably - an emergency kitchen fitter when a waste pipe sprang a leak, Amy has made the impossible possible, and just a bit magical. Working to a tight budget, she's taken everything in her stride and her eye for style and mood is unerring. We've never felt that design trends trumped our own preferences and she's always been a joy to spend time with. We heartily recommend her.

We moved into our home around 2yrs ago and whilst saving to transform it we had to endure dark wood cladded ceilings and floral carpets! Our living room is 11metres long and was not a functional room! We were looking at making it more homely and Amelia exceeded all our expectations! We now have the modern country look living room we wanted which is a cosy family space which we are throughly enjoying! Everything she picked for the room we loved and she was always in communication with us! She managed the project which involved plasterers joiners electrician and decorators and ensured we were complete for Christmas! We would definitely recommend Amelia!

Amelia has provided great ideas for our tired new house, transforming dark dreary rooms into light contemporary spaces. Currently, she has helped us update our master bedroom, provide a new ensuite, guest room, dressing room and an extension to our lounge. Starting with a story board for each room, she is able to source decorations, coverings and furniture at good prices. She also has access to reliable builders, plumbers, electricians and bathroom fitters and will organise the whole project, if that is what you'd like. Always responsive and with impeccable taste, Amelia provides a very personal service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.
