I had instructed Elizabeth to help me with the design of my large bathroom and utility space. I was very happy with her work and can highly recommend her and would ask her to work with me. Elizabeth listened to my brief and produced a concept within a very short time. She was very open, patient and willing to discuss my ideas and to work within keeping of my budget. She was always looking for other options, which were at a reasonable price. I liked her different design styles and ideas, her attention to detail, being on time and flexible, and her communication skills. Elizabeth Bemment is a visionary interior designer with a keen eye for detail. When creating the interior design concept for this major villa refurbishment, she worked closely with me as her client and took my views and comments on board. She has created stunning interiors with my budget in mind and worked closely with the contractors to see that the interior design was not compromised in any way during the construction phase. She replanned the house to provide much more usable space in the bedrooms and living areas, organised the installation of underfloor heating and designed fabulous bathrooms and kitchens. Her choice of ceramic and wood finishes and textiles was ideal. She designed exquisite furniture which she had manufactured by an expert company. I am very happy with the result and would highly recommend her as a professional who provides an outstanding service from the beginning till the end of the project.

This major refurbishment project in Regents Park posed a particular challenge for the interior designer. The historic building is Grade 1 listed and the deign had to meet stringent conditions imposed by the Crown. Elizabeth vision changed the layouts to meet the requirements of a modern lifestyle and at the same time found ways of adding extra floor area particularly in the bedrooms. The staircase was taken up to a new roof terrace, the small lift replaced with a much larger cab, a breakfast bar was formed in the kitchen, the vaults under the road were connected t the house exploited for servicing areas allowing a cinema room and spa to be formed in the basement. Elizabeth chose furniture, wallpaper, rugs, and fabrics to produce and elegant and warm atmosphere. Lighting is one of Elizabeth’s strong points and she chose some stunning fittings. As always, her detailing of the casegoods like vanity to doors was exceptional. The refurbishment also involved the inclusion of underfloor heating and full air-conditioning throughout. The result is an interior design which is both fine to look at and a pleasure to live in. Elizabeth is particularly good to work with she is willing to listen to the client’s views and goes above and beyond the normal scope of service. She always has the budget in mind. She is skilled at dealing with contractors and suppliers and overcame many issues on the site which always occur in a refurbishment. This was a great help.

Elizabeth Bemment has done a fantastic job on the interiors of the contemporary 10,000 m2 house I have developed in Quinta do Lago in Portugal. Elizabeth achieved the broad creative concept necessary to attract to the occupiers and to suit both family life and large-scale entertaining. Elizabeth is a pleasure to work with. Unlike many interior designers I have found she provides a full and efficient interior design service including space planning, assembly details, lighting and electrical layouts as well as selecting, scheduling and procuring the decoration, furniture, fabrics and light fittings. Elizabeth’s design layouts form a seamless flow of spaces and create transparency and views across the terraces and pool into the gardens and towards the sea. Her choice of materials and lighting have produced effective atmospheres for the difference rooms; the elegant pool hall, warm cinema room, cosy corner around a two-way fireplace to name a few. The bedrooms are particularly successful with specially designed bed backs and light fittings. The main bathroom with additional outside shower has been called the best in the country. Her choice of finishes, furniture, fabrics and lighting go perfectly with the Mediterranean feeling of the house. Elizabeth’s detailed design of the joinery, glazing, hard finishes distinguish the project from its competitors. The copper front doors were brought India. Everything went as anticipated and I am pleased that the end result has received considerable acclaim.
