Lisa did an amazing job decorating our house and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We asked her to help redecorate our entire house and hoped to have it done relatively quickly as we are renters. She listened to what we liked, did not take offense to any ideas which we weren’t receptive to and delivered an amazing home in record speed. We feel so lucky coming home every day and can’t believe that we are in our house and not a hotel. Lisa took care of everything including liaising with delivery and returns teams which we really appreciated and she was a pleasure to work with. She seemed to understand quickly exactly what it was that we wanted and our personal design tastes. We would not hesitate to hire her again.

Working with Lisa really was a great experience. She took the time to understand what it was we wanted to accomplish with our home, rather than trying to impose a pre-determined blueprint. Lisa's professionalism gave us the confidence to move away from a very safe white interior to a bold and contemporary colour and pattern palette. She took in to account our love of design classics and coordinated an interior around this. Lisa was always on hand to discuss any ideas or issues as they arose and provided very clear guidelines to allow the tradesmen to deliver the final product. We have already asked Lisa to help us with another part of our home and would not hesitate in recommending her interior design service.

We hired Lisa after renovating our new house in 2016 and as our focus had been on structurally having the correct layout we felt at the end, the house had little personality.All the bedrooms were the same colour and the kitchen felt very clinical. Lisa changed all of that by redecorating the children’s bedrooms using their interests whilst remaining practical at all times. Next was the rather cluttered master bedroom where she converted a small bedroom in the eaves to create a beautiful dressing room so that we could remove a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The end result was a luxurious, spacious bedroom. Where the kitchen seemed rather clinical, she created a gallery wall and added a rug to soften it a little. Finally in the playroom she added a gallery wall of framed pieces of the children’s art! We are beyond delighted with the end result and love spending time at home now. Lisa is lovely and was really fantastic to work with, she made the whole experience super easy and really invested a lot of her time to help deliver the perfect result including dressing all of the rooms (I came home to find her hoovering one day!) I cannot recommend her highly enough!

We hired Born & Bred to design our four bedroom home on a tight timeframe of three months (new baby on way). Lisa did an incredible job working at a fast pace, to understand our style and source the necessary pieces to execute on our vision for the house. Lisa is a pleasure to work with, our personalities jived and she gets things done. It made decorating the house that much easier.
Lisa excelled at the following points, which made our experience great.
1) Professionalism - Above all, Lisa is a true professional and I believe this is the core to a positive working relationship. She showed up to meetings on time, met deadlines, kept us informed of deliveries, and problem solved any issues that came up (without making us feel like it was an issue).
We also appreciated that she would be understanding (and didn't take it personally!) when we didn't like some of the items she presented to us. Designers can sometimes be too pushy when it's not your taste, but instead, she would listen to our feedback, and come back with an alternative appropriate solution that worked for us.
2) Presented a Range of Price Options - I liked that Lisa always had various pricing options for similar items. She never assumed our price range for an item and was mindful in presenting ways we could save money. She also would bargain hunt and spontaneously send us items she would see on sale while out.
3) Designed bespoke furniture - I wanted an upholstered ottoman for our family room which I saw online at Restoration Hardware (RH not sold in the UK). She scoped the design and had it custom made, for less than what it would have cost to buy it. She also advised us to go with a bigger size to fit our room (which I could not see working) and now its our favorite piece we purchased. Its perfect material & size for for our kids!
4) Kids Rooms - My kids rooms are impeccable, from wallpaper, to beds to decorative items that pull it all together. She specializes in this area so if you're looking for kids / family space design, Born & Bred does a fantastic job.
5) Contract Work - The external contractors she referred were excellent. Very happy with the quality and time of the work completed.
Overall, highly recommend to hire!

We worked with Lisa to design the interior of our new build house (incl. sourcing), with the intention of bringing character to the house, which can be difficult in a new build. Lisa has been amazing to work with, professional, full of ideas, enthusiastic, and most of all, patient. Our build was full of delays and complications, but Lisa has been a rock to us during this entire process and never once did she complain. We always looked forward to her mood boards, it's inspirational and exciting. Her approach on guiding us through the process is gentle, non-pushy and accommodating. We couldn't be happier with the end result, our two boys absolutely love their playroom and bedrooms. We would highly recommend Lisa and would definitely work with her again!

We hired Lisa to work on an awkwardly sized spare room which we were keen to make better use of. We’d spent a lot of time thinking about what to do with the space but really struggled to get it right. We didn’t want to make expensive furniture decisions only to get it wrong, so we decided to get some proper advice.
Working with Lisa was really straightforward. We discussed the brief over the phone and she also came to our home to take lots of measurements, better assess our preferred aesthetic and really understand what we wanted to get out of the space.
Lisa is very professional and friendly too. She really listened to us and came up with lots of great options for our mood boards which we discussed with her before deciding what to go for. We were really surprised at how detailed her work is and how many options she came up with for us. She really over delivered.
In addition, we gave Lisa a budget and everything she recommended came in well below that which was great.
We’re in the process of buying things for the room and are looking forward to seeing how it all comes together.
Lisa came highly recommended by a friend and based on our experience we would definitely work with her again and recommend her to others. Thank you.

Lisa has been brilliant to work with. We knew what we liked but not how to recreate it on a budget and in our own home. Lisa was able to bridge the gap from the idea on the tip of my brain to a coherent design and shopping list.
She very much incorporated our ideas and special requirements into two beautifully designed bathroom. The service provided was exactly what we needed in that she was able to craft a design around the hodge podge of items that we already owned to create something beautiful, stylish and quite timeless (in less than 2 weeks!). We were given choices between very expensive and cheaper items so that we could stretch or constrain our budget as required.
We are looking forward to Lisa helping us with the rest of the ground floor as our renovation progresses.

We hired Lisa at Born and Bred on the recommendation of a friend who had been through a similar project, to renovate kids bedrooms. I had never worked with an interior designer before, and this was a great introduction. Lisa was great, she took time to talk to the kids and take a briefing, she interpreted the briefs really well, and executed beautifully. She took a great amount of time and trouble, and personally delivered very detailed and thought-through schematic. She responded quickly and sensibly to my many questions. The kids were totally thrilled and delighted with their transformed rooms!

We hired Lisa to help us with the redesign of our front room which we were turning into a 'Den'.
On meeting Lisa for the first time it was immediately apparent that she understood what we were trying to do. She was able to help us prioritise the important aspects of the room and also make us focus on the look that we wanted to achieve.
She worked with the builder and other suppliers to ensure that everything was delivered on time and to budget. In fact, the transparent way that she operates with budgets is so refreshing. She is always available to explain costs before they are tied down which allows 'first timers' like myself the wiggle room to change my mind!
Personally, my delight in hiring Lisa was that I was able to trust her to 'finish' the room. Whilst I love looking at the big picture such as paint colours and flooring, her attention to detail and ability to add the perfect touches (quirky, individual and personal to us) was simply wonderful!
I look forward to working with her again .....

Commented: Shower wall grout color?Hi Julie its dark grey (standard grout). I agree black would be too contrast. If your going for normal metro tiles (ie non artisan) I would opt for a darker colour grout.
