“Karen was invaluable throughout our project. From the initial consultation, she quickly understood what we wanted to achieve and brought real clarity to the spatial planning, layout and overall design direction. She particularly shines when it comes to interior architecture and spatial planning. She made a number of thoughtful and practical amendments to the layout originally suggested by our architect, such as moving thr laundry room upstairs and keeping an internal corridor) all of which improved the way the house would work in practice. Her input on lighting, electrical layouts, bespoke joinery, specification and sourcing was also hugely helpful. Karen’s — and Pete’s — drawings, plans and design work made it much easier to visualise the finished spaces and to communicate decisions clearly to the wider team. Karen was also excellent during the build itself: practical, responsive and good at solving problems as they arose. She made regular site visits, liaised well with contractors and helped keep the design intent on track. We particularly valued her attention to detail, her sourcing and procurement support, and the fact that she passed on trade discounts where available. Overall, Karen made a complex project feel much more coherent and considered, and we are very pleased with the outcome.”

“We asked Caroline from Story lines to redesign our drab and dark living room. She managed to take into consideration the north facing room, children and 2 large shedding dogs. Over a couple of meetings we finally finalised our design with recommendations of tradesmen and suppliers. Nothing was too much trouble for Caroline, she was professional and a pleasure to work with. Our new living room design has surpassed what we could have imagined. It’s our favourite room in the house. A haven every time we go in there. We could not be happier with every detail, from artwork, to curtains and blinds, she has managed to give us the cosy but modern and easy to clean finish we needed. Everyone who comes to the house loves the room. We can’t wait to start our next project with Caroline in the future.”
