I have used Dave from By Design Group before on my previous property to alter the spatial layout and then two years later to help me with house hunting on the property I then moved to. So when I was looking to move again I knew who to call. This time I have used him and his team to refresh the property for sale. Which involved help with transforming a cellar space in to a liveable basement, the introduction of a a lean-to pergoda on the side of the house and finally a front of house facelift with garage doors, the drive, window sills, render, the house paint colour, (that were tired and in need of a refresh) brought back to life and now the first impression looks as good as new, if not better! I have no doubt the valuation I have since received and am very pleased with has a great to deal to do with that. His team of joiners, electricians and decorators, outdoor cleaners, that he used on this job were a pleasure to work with as well. I am already using him remotely again, to house hunt the next property through Right Move message exchanges and, when we've shortlisted suitable properties I will go with Dave to view them like I did the previous time. I'm very happy to recommend him and his team to people who need help with their property as the value is high.

We have a set of rental flats in a large Victorian property in Sale, Manchester, and a one bedroom flat required a total re-fit. I got Dave from HH design studio on recommendation from a friend and I’m really glad I did. We decided to the consultancy on site, and his help with spacial layout and re-configuration was invaluable, you can just see it is his thing. His understanding of space is great and he explained his concepts well, which gave us the confidence to make the changes that we didn’t quite know how - or have the confidence to do. The new layout/flow of the flat has first and foremost transformed the bedroom. Then made the bathroom more efficient and finally allowed the open plan kitchen and lounge to be maximised for both requirements. We would definitely recommend him to anyone looking at property changes and will have another consultancy when the first fix and layout reconfiguration is done.

We've supplied furniture to Dave's projects a few times over the years and we have found him to be professional at all times. He communicates well with clients and ourselves.

We used Dave at Hurricane Herbert on our previous property to unlock the space and come up with an exciting new layout. It unlocked our family life and brought loads more space and light in to our day to day living. When we were looking to move it was a no brainer for us to employ Dave and his knowledge to first help us find a new property and then eventually, when we had the energy and finances to unlock that one, look to re-design that layout. We recently reached that point and it was great to see him once more as he has come up with a really exciting inventive open plan layout for our relatively big but presently dark, disjointed Victorian semi. We used Dave at Hurricane Herbert design firstly to help us find a property where we sent him over right move options and he would respond explaining in detail why it was worth shortlisting in relation to our requirements and what future potentials as well as pitfalls different properties could hold. We finally settled on 3 potentials and we booked in with Dave and viewed all 3. From this we decided upon the house we are now living in and since then Dave has helped us with overall layouts, the kitchen and lighting. HH designs service has been great from start to present finish and we are now fully converted to paying for knowledge and we know whenever we need him going forward he is there to help. Can’t recommend him/them enough!

I first met "The Hurricane" when I was looking for a garden lighting solution to put the finishing touch to my garden. Little did I know that my life (or my house to be more specific) would never be the same again! The quality of his work was excellent, and if you are a person who is happy to let the experts get on with what they are good at, then you will not be disappointed either. Quick, efficient and professional - like the stuff you see in magazines. Excellent design and equally excellent installation. Nice simple phone app (or physical switches) to control all the zones in my garden. Just the way I wanted and I couldn't be happier. This coupled with some excellent outdoor heating panels has extended the use of my garden when the sun goes in. But it wasn't until after he finished the install that I found out that Daves real passion is for home design and renovation and my, am I glad I found this out! I have spent the last 12-15 years adding several extensions to my home to give it the size I was looking for, but all I ended up with was a bigger set of Cream Boxes. I have given Dave a blank canvas to turn my House in to a Home that suits my needs and even if I am completely clueless when it comes to anything creative, Dave has taken my remit and embarked on a masterplan that is transforming my home before my very eyes in to a dream come true. Dave himself is extremely enthusiastic and this is infectious. His passion is to give you the home of your dreams. His team are also equally skilled and enthusiastic. We hired Dave a few years ago to help us design our beautifully landscaped garden. We were so impressed with his innovative ideas. So when we were dead set on having a overhaul of our house, we knew there was nobody else we would turn to other than him, to help us unlock the potential of our home. I employed Dave at Hurricane Herbert to revamp my 2 bed apartment I bought last year, and reorganise the layout and space, as a few things weren’t working for me. He came out for the half day consultancy, changed the orientation of my master bedroom, moved the location of my couch in the lounge and came up with a soft furnishings and wall treatment design. He then remotely helped me purchase a couch and a new dining table. His team is to redo the family bathroom in the near future. I am so glad I made the leap to get an interior designer and I’m really glad I went with Hurricane Herbert, who I am and will use again in the future!

Great guy to work with despite being a city fan. Never used some of the materials used on the job previously but Dave’s knowledge bridged the gap with ease. The brilliant wall art is the most eye catching aspect of the job but as you look deeper you can see a great job for the budget. I have just been asked to work with Dave on another project . Dave @ Bespoke Living created an amazing design for us. The property is an old Victorian house, so the layout can be difficult to create contemporary spaces. The concept created was to utilise an over sized bath rather than a separate bath and shower enclosure and the idea was inspired. Produced from Porcelanosa and a recommended fitter from Bespoke ensured an amazing result which still looks the same today as when it was completed two years ago.

Dave is a consummate professional. His advice and ability to project an idea both visually and practically and bring it to fruition is second to none. Dave is very creative, I was trying to reconfigure the kitchen space but the only design I’d come up with left me with a corridor which didn’t work , Dave came up with a solution, which also freed up extra space in the kitchen. Dave is very knowledgable and is easy to work with, he has a real flare for colour schemes and what will work in your space, I’d be more than happy to recommend Dave to family and friends

Dave is fantastic at what he does. Where he adds real value for me is in two ares: Space Planning Internal & External Design I would not of had the expertise or knowledge to maximise the space i have. Dave has transformed the project into a very contemporary, luxury living space.

We are in the process of an extensive re-build & refurbishment project. Doubling floor area and with this undertaking a complete space remodel. We really did think that we had our ideal floor layout, but Dave presented alternative ideas on how to use the area far more effectively, linking and maximising space with a flow that made much more sense. Dave also provided outline design advise on the kitchen area and how best this space could be used allowing us to visualise the kitchen as being a central focus point of our home. We look forward to working further with Dave as we get more involved in choices for the fabric of the building and the many internal design elements to come. I have used Dave on numerous occasions within my home and feel that his knowledge and professionalism are second to none. Dave responded promptly to my request for help with my small utility room redesign project.He was clear about the cost and service available for a 2 hour consultation.He arrived promptly and spent over 3 hours giving helpful and knowledgeable advice with a range of budget options.Dave was obviously enthusiastic about helping find storage options in small spaces and was happy to extend the consultation to other areas of the house within the time available.

We have a nice modest sized inner city garden and we were looking to get it landscaped for around £5k. We had quotes from a few builders/landscapers that were coming in over budget and we weren’t sure they were exactly what we wanted or needed. We were feeling a little insecure on the prices as well as the design, that is before a friend recommended to us Dave at Bespoke Living by design. At first we weren’t sure whether the added cost of a design fee would make any difference but upon our friends insistence we bit the bullet and went ahead, booking him in for his 2 hour consultancy meeting at £200 + vat. We are now sold on paying for knowledge where design and layout is concerned. Dave said the design was fragmenting space whilst actually driving up the cost, my wife was the first to jump on board with the new layout so obviously I quickly followed suit! Reorganising the layout and changing a few materials he made everything much more balanced, advised us what type of installer would be more appropriate and we are now going ahead with an install much more in budget at £3.5k which is exactly what we want, and that makes me happy! We will definitely use Dave again for any design issues we have in the future whether they are inside or out, and are completely sold on paying for imagination and inspiration through knowledge.

We have employed Dave at Bespoke living on a variety of occasions on our first property in Burnage where he did the consultancy design and parts of the installation on our Bathroom, Kitchen, Bedrooms, Garden and the overall feel of the place. We were always so pleased with what they delivered that it was a no brainer for us to employ him on their half day rate of £300 + vat, when we were ready to move on to a bigger place in a better area for families with our daughter soon to arrive. We booked to see 5 houses on this particular afternoon that we wanted his views on. The knowledge emparted was invaluable and his energy and enthusiasm when we entered the 4th property was that confidence we needed. He pointed out that the overgrown garden was hiding it's true size and that the rotting broken decked area and questionable decor inside was minor and mainly cosmetic but was keeping the price down and was a good thing to those who can look past it. We agreed bolstered by his extra experience which just helps you make that leap quicker and with more confidence. We got it and have now been living in it for over a year and don't regret the move for a second. In that time Dave and his team have re-designed and re-landscaped the garden replacing that awful decking whilst also installing a garden lighting system, a threshold dual purpose indoor/outdoor home cinema, helped design our new porch, supplied wallpaper, whilst helping with the overall layout/feel to the place and finally are set to re-design our bathroom in the near future. We can't recommend his services enough he has helped us hugely with all aspects of our property experiences and we couldn't be more pleased with where we are and what we have got. So we bang the drum for paying for the knowledge and expertise on your side at every stage of your property ventures.

Dave at Bespoke Living by Design significantly transformed the Architectural plans for our recent loft conversion. We were keen to get a second opinion on the layout of the space and contacted Dave to see if he could help? Drawing upon years of experience in house renovation and a clear passion for design he pointed out some very simple but often overlooked changes that helped us to maximise the loft space in our 1930s semi. Using Dave's expertise for a day we were able to discuss and alter the Architects plans to best suit our needs. He was more than happy to work with us to find solutions instead of just instructing us on what he thought we should do. He was personable and professional in his approach and this was refreshing to see. As a result of our consultation with Dave and a particularly flexible contractor (willing to work with rough sketches over Architectural plans) we now have an impressive two double bedrooms and a family bathroom all squeezed into a hip to gable dormer loft. It feels great up there and certainly doesn't feel cramped and pokey as you might expect. You may look at the consultation fee and think it's a lot of money to pay out for a conversation and initial sketches but it's not and in the long run it will significantly benefit your project and save you money. We have no regrets and would highly recommend Dave and Bespoke Living by Design. We look forward to working with him again in the near future.

We employed Dave at Bespoke living for the half day at £300 + vat rate, as we had lined and short listed 4 houses that we wanted him to view with us, after we heard about their consultancy design service through a friend. His knowledge and expertise in our corner were so useful to us on the viewings and installed us with the confidence to make what we believe is the right decision! Under his guidance we opted for a pretty much finished house in Stretford, for once we discussed and debated our budget, savings, financial situation he steered us away from another cheaper house that was more of a project and actually would have meant more potential work for him going forward, as he advised us that our budget would not surfice and with a young child it would be too much stress in all respects to take on at this point in our lives. At present we have had our offer accepted on the property, and again, Dave's advice proved invaluable in order for us to secure the house. Once in ownership of the property we will again employ Dave's services to help with personalising the place with wallpapers, fabric, furniture etc. We are total advocates of paying for knowledge, and certainly Dave's experience and expertise are well worth the money. We are very happy with our relationship with him and can't recommend Bespoke Living highly enough!

We live in an up and coming area of Manchester and made the decision that we would rather max out the use of the space of our well proportioned mid-terrace property, than the cost of upsizing in the area we would want to live in. So we employed Bespoke living to help realise the potential of our house something that we have no regrets in doing! For Dave came out and gave us some really progressive and imaginative layouts for the whole property. Not just offering one option but a variety dependent upon budget/planning etc. This was great for us to become more decisive on what we actually wanted and our now progressing with a loft conversion accommodating a guest bedroom with ensuite and a redistribution of the ground floor that creates a more flowing open plan feel whilst bringing a bigger kitchen with dinning island to the centre of the house. We would highly recommend Dave as his knowledge, enthusiasm and vision helped us realise what we actually needed.
